Relax and Play Premium Badge Album

by Lura on February 3, 2008

We’ve got more details on the new premium badge album in development. It’ll be called Relax and Play, and it will have challenges in the nine games we mentioned earlier (Mahjong Garden, Poppit!, Jigsaw Detective, First Class Solitaire, Jungle Gin, Dominoes, Word Search Daily, Sweet Tooth 2, and Thousand Island Solitaire), as well as in Rainy Day Spider Solitaire. All of the badges are animated and show scenes of people at play and at relaxation.

Pogo Scavenger Hunt

by Lura on February 1, 2008

Are you looking for a fun and challenging way to spend your time this weekend (besides Tri-Peaks 2, which is unquestionably late)? Check out the Pogo Scavenger Hunt. Before February 8th, complete tasks in three different games, complete the puzzle, and get a chance to win one of several cool prizes: a Desktop PC with an LCD Monitor, 5 Nintendo DSes with Pogo Island, 12 Pogo To Go games, and 15 Club Pogo 3-month game time cards.

The item you need comes randomly in a jackpot spin. For each of the following games, this is what you need to do to get a jackpot spin, although it may take several tries to get the piece you need (and the tokens that go along with it). In Dominoes, just win a game. In Bingo Luau, mark off 100 squares. And in First Class Solitaire, move all of the cards to the four foundation piles. Once you’ve completed the puzzle, you’ll be awarded what Pogo refers to as “a large sum of tokens” (16,667) and an entry in the prize drawing. It’s also possible to enter the drawing only without completing the puzzles (but you won’t get that large sum of tokens).

New Premium Badge Album

by Lura on January 17, 2008

We have VERY limited details on a new premium badge album that’s in development. So far it’s got 9 badges and one bonus badge for completing the album. It contains challenges for Mahjong Garden, Poppit!, Jigsaw Detective, First Class Solitaire, Jungle Gin, Dominoes, Word Search Daily, Sweet Tooth 2, and Thousand Island Solitaire. Usually these albums have a more “round” number of challenges (like 10 instead of 9), so we’re expecting to report an additional challenge, plus more details as they surface.

New Dominoes Information

by Lura on October 5, 2007

It’s been a while since we’ve had anything of substance to report about the two new versions of Dominoes that are coming soon. Here’s a recap of everything we know so far.

One version will be for Club Members — called Super Domino (not Super Dominoes?) — and another version will be for non-Club members, called Dominoes 2. Both versions will each have 5 badges and 50 ranks that Club Members can obtain. For both games, badges will be awarded at ranks 10 (win 100 games), 20 (win 250 games), 30 (win 450 games), 40 (win 700 games), and 50 (win 1500 games).

The badges and chat icons themselves are bone-themed. The names of each badge are themed, too: Chicken Bone, Bone Picker, Bone Dry, Bone Anatomy, and Big Bone Daddy for Super Domino; Play it to the Bone, Give a Dog a Bone, Funny Bone, Bone Pile, and Roll Dem Bones for Dominoes 2.

Also, you’ll be able to choose the color of your dominoes, choose between pips (dots) and large numbers, and for those of you who hate how small the dominoes get when the track runs out of space, these new versions will have enlarged playing fields that you can slide around.
