It’s Tuesday again and that means it’s Tips Day! Each Tuesday we’ll be showcasing one of Pogo.com’s games and collecting your tips, insights, and hints for playing the games, earning more tokens in them, and earning their badges more easily.
Crazy Cakes is one of Pogo’s time management games. Your job is to serve patrons various baked goods as they arrive at your shop. There are 50 Crazy Cakes ranks to earn and along the way to max rank you’ll earn five rank badges. The premium, weekly, and mix-n-match badges for this game are often like these:
* Use X power-ups
* Meet the goal for X rounds without wasting any desserts
* Meet the goal for X rounds without losing any customers
* Serve X desserts
* Serve X (type of patron, ex: Dwarves)

Today, Pogo released another round of Mini Awards in Aces Up!, Lottso!, Hog Heaven Slots, Jungle Gin, QWERTY, Crazy Cakes, and Thousand Island Solitaire.
In addition, on the Mini Award page, there were dropdowns for World Class Solitaire and KenoPop! but the dropdowns were removed later in the day. Those Mini Awards will probably come with the next release. For a full list of the Mini Award items you can earn — including the ones for World Class Solitaire and KenoPop! — check out our Mini Awards page.

So far we’ve received Mini Awards for Canasta, Everyone Wins Bingo, Mahjong Garden, Pogo Addiction Solitaire, and Tri-Peaks Solitaire and we know that Pogo’s developers and artists are planning more Mini Awards for Hog Heaven Slots, Jungle Gin, and Lottso. That seems like a lot…
…but wait, there’s more!

If you haven’t ranked up to at least rank 11 (the highest-ranked award available, from Everyone Wins Bingo) in Thousand Island Solitaire, Jungle Gin, QWERTY, and Crazy Cakes you may want to work on that in the coming weeks, as it’s pretty clear Pogo will release those Mini Awards first.
Pogo’s creating another Premium Badge Album called “Play to Win”. It’ll have ten challenges and badges, and one album completion badge. We don’t have specifics on the challenges yet, but from the looks of the animated badges (which all have a competitive sports theme), they’ll be in Sudoku Puzzle Blast, Yahtzee Party, Crazy Cakes, Bingo Luau, Payday FreeCell, Trivial Pursuit Daily 20, Sock Hop Slots, and two more we haven’t figured out yet (maybe Mahjong Safari and Penguin Blocks)! We’ll make a more formal post when we have the final details.

Today, Pogo has rolled out additional changes to Badge Central, and with those changes come December’s Mix-n-Match badges. Each badge and challenge costs 16 gems; this set of badges will expire on December 22, 2009.
