We all know what “coming soon” means… well, Christmas is coming soon too. But this looks a little more promising than the usual “coming soon”: the Pogo UK site has posted some screenshots to whet your appetite for Boggle Bash (which will be both US and UK, and free to play for everyone)!

Here’s hoping for a quick release!
Update 6/18: In fact, Boggle Bash should be out next week (but possibly the week after) because the next Game Night, scheduled for July 3, is in Boggle Bash. Given the need for time for testing (keeping the game in “Sneak Peek” mode), we fully expect to see Boggle Bash out Tuesday June 22. Fingers crossed!
Here are the nine (9!) badges that you’ll be able to earn in Boggle Bash — five rank badges and four in-game achievement badges. The requirements for each badge are listed below as well.

We’ve also posted the rules for Boggle Bash on our site so you can preview them before the game is released. As with all sneak peeks we give you, this information is subject to change before Boggle Bash is released officially by Pogo.
Boggle Bash is officially in the testing phase now. According to our sources, the game is nearly complete so the June release is still feasible.
The gameplay is team-based. The “teams” are randomly selected out of players in the room which will probably hold 20 people so there will be four teams of five each. In each game, there are three three-minute rounds. In order to earn a jackpot spin, your team must meet the goal at least two of the three rounds.
BadgeHunter tells us, “When I was playing there were 15 in room with 3 teams of 5, but gap open for a 4th team. There is a ‘team goal’ such as ‘spell 200 words as a team’ or ‘Spell 50 5 letter words’. If you reach the goal it’s considered a win. The words don’t have to be unique to count. The scores fly by so fast after the game that I can’t tell if theres a bonus for beating other teams in any way.”
In order to prevent collusion, chat is off during the individual rounds, but you can chat with your roomies between rounds. After each round, the game displays the unique words of each player on your team and a small version of that round’s Boggle board. If you run your mouse over any of the words you or your teammates spelled, they will highlight on the mini-board. Very nice!

If you don’t know what Boggle is (besides it being Lura’s favorite game in the whole wide world), check out this Wikipedia entry. If you’re interested in trying a Boggle-type game before Pogo’s version comes out, we recommend Wordtwist. At the very least, it’ll help you get used to the absolutely necessary 3-letter words that are allowed in the game if you’re not familiar with the traditional Scrabble dictionary.
According to this feature gallery from Entertainment Weekly, Boggle Bash will be released in June. Check it out!

Thanks @doctorx316 for the great find!
A quick update on Boggle Frenzy: it’s now being called Boggle Bash and it’s now in development.
The only other information we have for you is that the game may be available to both Club and non-Club members, as the window size of the game is the same as the “free” games.
We’ll keep you posted as we receive more information!
Sure, we’re expecting Monopoly Slots and Word Whomp Underground (Deluxe) to be released in 2009, but what else does Pogo have up its sleeve?
We’ve caught wind of two new games that will be developed in the coming year: Pattern Puzzle and Boggle Frenzy.
We’re not sure what Pattern Puzzle will be like, but our best current guess is that it might be some form of Tangram game.
As avid Boggle fans, we are excited for this Hasbro title to be added to the already-spectacular Pogo games lineup. If you’ve never played Boggle before, check out this Hasbro Boggle site for an interactive demo.
As usual, we’ll keep you posted!
