This week we’re talking about Beaker Creatures! It’s a puzzle game that asks you to make matches, both on similarities and differences. There are 50 Beaker Creatures Ranks and 5 rank badges awarded at 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. You can check your rank progress in the game by mousing over the microscope.

Pogo originally created an extra badge graphic for this game, which started speculation that there would be a Beaker Creatures secret badge but so far they claim there is no secret badge and they have no plans to create one in the near future.

The types of Mix-n-Match badges, weekly challenges, and premium badge album badges in Beaker Creatures are usually one of the following:

* Earn X jackpot spins
* Create X perfect groups
* Win X tokens

Pogo does not release a lot of badges in this game because, like Battle Phlinx which we discussed last week, many people have problems loading the game. Beaker Creatures, however, runs on Flash and not Java. Here are some direct links to Pogo’s help files for Beaker Creatures and Flash:

Unfortunately, there is a rumor going around regarding a secret badge for Beaker Creatures. Beaker Creatures currently does not have any secret badges available, and there are no plans of releasing any secret Beaker Creatures badges in the near future.

The reason there was a rumor in the first place is because an extra badge graphic was created for the game and added to Pogo’s live web servers (see our original post containing the six badge graphics). Usually when Pogo creates and uploads extra badges for a game they end up as “special” or “secret” badges that can be earned by completing an in-game achievement (a lot of recent games have these, like Crossword Cove and Thousand Island Solitaire and others).

I guess this badge isn’t ever going to make it to our badge albums, considering Pogo claims they have no plans of releasing any secret badges in the near future.

Rest in peace, cute little secret badge that could have been.

Oh, go on then….

We have a new Club Pogo exclusive game launching next week! It’s a super little puzzle game called Beaker Creatures and, as always, your very own Pogo News will have full details when the game’s launched.

This is, however, great news since the last new release we saw was Sock Hop Slots, back on December 2! Look for it on Tuesday of next week, here’s a tour of the game to tide you over.

The How to Play text seems a little sparse right now, so take it as a work-in-progress. We’ll be sure to update the rules if they are changed before release or if there are any additional sections posted.

These badges are for ranks 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 and one special in-game badge.
