Here’s a first look at the badges for the upcoming Matinee Premium Badge Album. This album contains the following 10 animated badges and an album completion badge. Each badge depicts our favorite Pogo mascots re-enacting scenes from famous movies. We’ll post again when we get details about the badge requirements.

Since the demise of Pogo’s previous mobile games in 2006, fans have been clamoring for Pogo’s return to the current generation of mobile devices. With smartphones on the rise and Pogo’s parent company, Electronic Arts, already creating fantastic — although not Pogo-connected — games with EA Mobile; it seemed only likely that Pogo would eventually develop games that could be played on the go and would connect to Pogo’s account system for tokens and perhaps online gameplay.
Well, “eventually” is almost here!
Earlier this month, Electronic Arts posted a job listing for “Senior Producer Pogo Mobile”. From the full listing (emphasis ours):
This role reports into Pogo Production leadership and is responsible for leading the production of Pogos Mobile initiatives. The successful candidate must have mobile experience, with a primary emphasis on smart-phones, as well as, proven managerial, technical, creative and production leadership skills. Core responsibilities include identifying and exploiting business opportunities to extend the Pogo brand and community into the mobile space. This will include production of a mobile application and games that leverages, enhances and extends Pogos online community functionality. Games will be primarily externally developed, while the core application will be developed internally. This offer is for a full-time position located at Redwood Shores with periodic travel to other locations.
So it’s clear we’ll be seeing Pogo on (hopefully) our iPhones and iPads and other mobile devices in the future. We don’t have many details as it’s clear from the job description that this initiative is in its infancy, but as usual stay tuned here for the exclusive breaking news!

Well, not only is case #70 delayed, it will be the last for Pogo.com’s Jigsaw Detective game.
Today’s News and today’s Letters to the Editor cover it all. The last case will be posted soon and after that there will be no more. The game will stay active on the site indefinitely and we’ll always be able to complete any of the previous 70 puzzles at any time.

After nearly six years of new monthly puzzles in Jigsaw Detective, the story is coming to a dramatic conclusion. If you’ve been following the various cases in Jigsaw Detective, then you’re familiar with the gritty theme and our hard-boiled hero, the Jigsaw Detective. Big city, big mysteries. You’ve been helping him solve them for years now.Well, like any great series, it’s time for this one to come to an end. The game itself will remain available, but our Jigsaw Detective will be retiring… maybe in Florida. Maybe in Cancun. It’s likely he’ll need to keep it a secret after everything he’s experienced. We can’t give anything away, so stay tuned…

We’ve got a sneak peek at what we think will be July’s Clue episode: The Killa in Manila. Unlike June’s episode, this one will cost 20 gems for Club Pogo members and 40 for non-Club members.
