The game is being referred to in some places on Pogo’s development servers as Pogo Colorgatchi or “Colorgotchi”, but it appears the final name will be Flower Daze (as the Colorgatchi reference may just be an internal development name, like Crazy Cakes was “Plate Spinner” for example).

It also look as if this game will have mini awards you can earn at different ranks. As usual, we’ll keep you up to date with the latest news as it comes in. Thanks to all of our contributors who got us these images and information in such a timely manner!

Here’s a quick run-down of the news I’ve received over the past week (at least the stuff that’s still relevant):

The next PBA in development is Spike’s Casino. It’ll probably be released in January, but I’ll keep you posted if I hear otherwise. I will post the badges and their requirements later.

There’s a sweepstakes going on in Pogo Bowl for another few days. Play Pogo Bowl daily between December 15 – December 20 for chance to win $1,000 for you and a $1,000 for your favorite charity or a Portable Media Player and $10 gift card.

Several folks have written in wondering if Pet Society on Facebook is the replacement for Pogo Puppies, or at least the reason it’s retiring. “In the world of Pet Society, you and your pet can play games, decorate your house and even bring gifts to your friends! Enjoy many games and activities– play ball, jump rope, treasure hunt and partake in contests against other pets at the Pet Stadium!”

Until December 26, Pogo is having a sale on select Mini items and badges. It looks like you can get a lot of stuff for 25% off, including select M-n-M badges and all of the Premium Badge Albums (except Take a Trip).

Last, but not least: thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has sent in news and rumors so far. You guys rock! And keep ‘em coming! And thank you SO MUCH to everyone who sent in well-wishes and congratulations. We’re doing great, and just downright smitten with our new addition. Tired tired tired, but smitten. :)

We’re not sure why, but the Pogo Puppies Facebook application is shutting down on 12/31. It was originally released on October 13th, and we’re not sure if it was meant to be as short-lived as it was, but this quote from Pogo’s help pages says it all:

Unfortunately, Pogo Puppies will be going offline permanently on 12/31/2009. There are currently no plans to bring the game back in the future, or to move it to Pogo.com at this time.

It looks like fans of Pogo Puppies are discussing this shut-down (and the confusion surrounding it) on the Pogo Puppies Forums. If you know anything about the reason this happened, please contact us and let us know.

It looks like Pogo’s got another new game in development, and it’s another Hasbro-related title: Potato Head. (Yeah, we’re just as puzzled as you are. Mr. Potato Head is cool, but I think three year olds appreciate him more than Pogo’s general audience.) At this point, we have absolutely no details other than the name, and it’s probably a working title anyway. As usual, we’ll keep you posted if we find any more details, so keep checking back!

We can only assume these eight badges will be for Flower Daze, because of a recent interview with Dan F. wherein he bragged about “a really fun game called Flower Daze with a hilarious hippy character”. Check them out!
