First Pogo Mobile Games!

by Lura on June 25, 2010

It appears the first set of mobile games that Pogo is creating this time around will be iPhone apps and they will be versions of Mahjong Safari, Poppit, Sweet Tooth, Turbo 21, and Word Whomp. Apps available for the iPhone are usually available as well for the iPod touch, but we’re not sure if Pogo is going to create a dedicated iPad version or not. For now, the games are being referred to as iSafari, iPoppit, iSweetTooth, iTurbo21, and iWordWhomp — these, as with most of Pogo’s development names, are subject to change. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the latest news as soon as we have it, so stay tuned here!

Weigh in on Pogo Mobile!

by Lura on June 24, 2010

Pogo is asking for your input on their new mobile projects! Take this survey and let them know how you feel.

As usual, these surveys from Pogo give us insight into what they are planning for the future. This survey seems very geared towards the iDevices. At one point they ask if you’d be interested in any of the following games on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch: Poppit!, Word Whomp, Sweet Tooth 2, Turbo 21, Pogo Bowl, Mahjong Safari, First Class Solitaire, Sea Ball, Puck’s Peak, Bingo Luau, Mini Golf Madness, Phlinx, Hog Heaven Slots, Monopoly Slots, High Stakes Pool, Spades, Euchre, Lottso!, Texas Hold’em, Poker, Hangman Hijinks, and Crossword Cove. One of these games may very well be the first mobile game we see from Pogo.

There was also a question asking you to rate the importance of the following to you:

* Ability to add to the tokens you already earned on the Pogo.com website
* Ability to work on your current game rankings, rather than starting at the lowest rank
* The ability to continue a badge challenge that you began on the Pogo.com website
* Access to your closet of Mini clothes and backgrounds

For us here at BH, we answered an emphatic 10 out of 10 for each of these. Hopefully these games won’t be additional purchases that do not share game ranks and badges with the current Club Pogo offerings. The ideal mobile app is one that is seamless and contains all of the above.

Whether you are an iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, or other mobile device user your input is valuable to them, so be sure to set aside a few minutes and let your voice be heard!
