Sneak Peek: Badges for “Easy as Pie” PBA

Pogo is developing a new premium badge album entitled “Easy as Pie”. This album’s requirements are still being put together, but the badges and chat icons are done. When it’s released, it’ll have ten challenges and badges, plus the usual album completion badge. It will cost $5.99, or 86 gems. We expect this to be one of two albums Pogo will release in April, so stay tuned here for more information on this and the other album as it’s available.

Cluedo/Clue Secrets and Spies Coming Soon

This just in from Pogo UK: Cluedo Secrets and Spies is coming soon! (For those of you who don’t know, North America knows the game as “Clue”, but the rest of the world calls it “Cluedo”.) On Pogo, Clue/Cluedo will be a hidden object game. There’s a short news article that explains the game’s mechanics and the episode-purchase system. We discussed this a little in the last weekend open thread, but now Pogo has confirmed it:

“Enjoy the first episode of this fantastic game completely free, then purchase additional episodes from the CLUEDO Secrets & Spies Episode Store using Pogo Gems! Club Pogo members will benefit from additional free episodes AND get a hefty discount on additional episodes purchased.”

Right now it looks like the additional episodes will be 20 gems for Club Pogo members, but 40 gems for everyone else. This may change before release, of course.

Pogo Will Expand Their Gifting Services

Pogo is expanding their virtual gifting services (currently badges, albums, and mini items) into the Pogo Gift Store and they’re adding new items you can gift to your friends called Expressions. Expressions are like virtual greeting cards, some animated and some not, that will cost small amounts of gems and tokens. The one to the right is a “#1 Mini” that you can send to a friend to let them know “Your mini is numero uno”! Like greeting cards, you can send them to express your thanks, celebrate birthdays and occasions and holidays, and more. There will be some that are Club Pogo exclusives as well.

Flower Daze Delayed

Just a quick note: Flower Daze is scheduled to be released today. Pogo’s having a few issues getting it out this morning so please have patience with them. We’ll post here once the game is ready to play — whether it’s today or tomorrow or next week — so keep an eye on this spot for the latest details!

In the meantime, you can get your computer ready to play Flower Daze. Like Puck’s Peak, it has a larger game window than the rest of Pogo games. You’ll want to make sure your screen resolution is set to at least 1024×768 — there are details on how to do that at Pogo’s help site.

Flower Daze “Coming Soon”

It’s official! Pogo has let us know that Flower Daze is coming soon! Don’t ask us what soon means, it could be next week or three weeks from now. Pogo isn’t exactly consistent with this type of thing. Most likely, though, it’ll come out on some Tuesday morning in the near future.

Flower Daze is a puzzle strategy game that involves flowers, and lots of them! According to the How to Play which has just fbeen posted on Pogo’s servers, you will be clicking on flowers to open them and change their color. The goal is to transform all of the flowers within a set number of moves, which could be difficult but luckily there’s an unlimited undo button!

First Look: RISK Badges

Risk has been in beta testing for a few weeks now so we’re starting to get early reports on how the game is shaping up. For now, here’s a look at the five badges for Risk. We assume the game will have 50 ranks and these five badges will be awarded at ranks 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 — but nothing is for sure.

We’ll keep you posted as we get more information on the badge ranks and requirements.
