The reward badge is an excellent animated April Fool’s joke — “Click here for 999 billion tokens!” This incites snickers all around, but for completing the super badge challenge, at least you’ll get 3,000 tokens and the badge…at least.
Pogo’s artists have been hard at work creating the next Mix-n-Match badges. The good news is that there are fifteen new badges (that look especially great in our opinion), including ones for some new games like KenoPop! and Sudoku Puzzle Blast, and maybe even (a hopefully made-over) Ali Baba Slots. We desperately want to tell you that these will all be for April, but they may very well be spread across two months of Mix-n-Match challenges. We’ll post more details as they become available, of course!
Today’s Pogo News brings us news of an Easter version of Sweet Tooth 2:
Cuteness is coming and candy’s where it’s at! Come Tuesday, in celebration of Easter, make sure you hop on over to Sweet Tooth 2, and fill your game playing basket with some of the cutest candy you’ve ever seen– without the calories!
Coming soon are five new mini backgrounds that have a loose “out and about” theme to them. There’s one for the soccer moms, featuring a minivan parked near a soccerfield; one for avid campers, showing an RV; and one for cyclists, picturing a chopper motorcycle parked on the beach. There’s also a downtown London scene, and a Hollywood red carpet scene. The camper and red carpet look familiar, a lot like the previous mini backgrounds “Caravan Park” (still available) and “At Da Club Pogo” (won in Lottso Deluxe).
Vaults of Atlantis has been made over for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday with pots of gold, leprechauns, rainbows, four-leaf clovers, and more. Listen closely for the cackling leprechaun noise in the background. May the luck of the Irish be with you!

Squelchies - Squishy Squelchies Badge
Reach the Jellyfish Bonus Round 12 times this week!
(Collect King Squelchies to unlock the Bonus Round!)
This one is a little tedious, especially if you’re not terribly fond of Squelchies (like some of us are). Collect King Squelchies (see image at left for an example of a blue one) by matching them with other similarly colored squelchies. Each time you get a King Squelchie, you’ll get a letter towards spelling BONUS. Once you spell bonus, then you get the bonus round. After you finish the bonus round, if you hit New Game, it seems you progress towards this badge faster.
There doesn’t seem to be a trick to getting the game to give you more King Squelchies, they just arrive along with the others. It doesn’t matter what level you play on, just be sure that once you see a King Squelchie that you go directly for it because if the round ends before you match it with another set of Squelchies, you won’t get the credit towards the bonus round.
High Stakes Pool - 9-Ball Badge
Win 9 “9-Ball” games this week!
This game should take no more than an hour or so, whether you are playing against humans or computers. Just make sure you’re on the 9-Ball tab when you choose a room. The object of the game is to hit balls 1 through 9 in that order into the pockets, more or less. The fastest way — although not the easiest way — to win the game is to sink the 9-ball by hitting first the required numbered ball into the 9-ball so it lands into one of the pockets. As we said, not easy, but we managed to line it up right twice today, so it’s at least possible.
The smiley mini items we had told you about earlier will be released tomorrow, according to the first March issue of Pogo Insider! Here are the graphics used in the Insider:
When you’re trying to get into a game room and get a message reading “This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”, it means there’s a problem with the Pogo game servers. They may be performing some kind of emergency maintenance, the servers may have crashed or gone down, or it may have been planned.
Other messages and errors you might get include the following:
- “System Too Busy” error: “Our server is currently busy and can not process your request at this moment.”
- “Tokens Unavailable” (or your token amount may be zero — gasp) and “This Pogo Mini is unavailable” where your mini should be on your home page
- “Your info could not be accessed at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience.” when you try to view Badge Central
- The Mini Mall may be replaced with a message that reads “Sorry! The Mini Mall is down for maintenance. Please try back later.”
Do not panic!
We repeat: PLEASE. Do. Not. Panic.
Pogo will be back up soon. Your tokens, mini, badges, albums, gems, and everything else will be just the way they were before the servers went down. And you might get a new game, new mini items, or absolutely nothing out of the harrowing ordeal of being Pogo-less for a few minutes (or — dread the thought — hours)!
These outages don’t always affect the servers for deluxe games, so if you have (and haven’t finished) Tri-Peaks 2, Lottso! Deluxe
