The summer beach party has begun! Right now you can get 5,000 free tokens for “participating” in the Pogo Pop Star contest (we just added the link to our free tokens page) and send free summer beach party e-cards. Starting on the 14th, you’ll be able to play Ride the Tide to gain entries into a drawing for $200 cash.
In addition, when you use this link to purchase a downloadable game between now and 7/28, you’ll receive a coupon via email for 40% off your next game over $19.99 (they’ll mail the coupons on 7/29).
In the works at Pogo is a new Premium Badge Album called “Scrabble Secrets”. There are 8 animated badges in total and each one depicts a scene that ‘discovers’ a letter in the word SCRABBLE. So far, all are complete — including the completion ‘book’ badge — except the R and one of the B’s. We’re not sure what games you’ll need to play to complete each badge, but it appears they will not be all Scrabble.
Pogo is recruiting people for their beta testing program again. If you apply for Pogo’s beta testing, you will not receive a response unless you are chosen (and that response should come in 2-3 weeks). Right now, registration is limited to residents of the U.S., U.K., and Canada.
As of the time of this posting, the application’s text has not been updated to walk users through setting up Java logging on Firefox 3, so if you are a Firefox 3 user, you may want to research independently how to set up Java logging or wait until Pogo updates their beta testing application.
Good luck!
If you haven’t checked it out yet, take a look at the 4th of July-themed Bingo Luau. The game is decked out in red, white, and blue to celebrate the United States’ Independence Day.
Today we added 3 (yes, three!) new free token offers to our free Pogo tokens page and they total 15,500 tokens, which should offset some of the spending you did on those adorable Mini Pets! Also, one of the offers — the Mini Pets promotion — includes a 14 day trial of Club Pogo and another 10,000 tokens for those of you who haven’t taken the plunge to become a full member of Pogo. The free Pogo passes section is at the bottom of the page.
