Diner Dash Family Style Sneak Peek

by BadgeHungry on September 17, 2008

Diner Dash: Family Style Diner Dash Family Style is a downloadable, deluxe-style game that Pogo is developing now. As with the deluxe-style games (Operation Mania, Word Riot Deluxe, Tri-Peaks Solitaire: Quest for the Ruby Ring, Mahjong Garden Deluxe, The Poppit! Show, and Lottso! Deluxe), this game will have a limited-time free trial available. Club Pogo members will be able to earn a badge just for trying out the game, and then five other badges as you rank up.

There will also be items for your minis! There will be five backgrounds (different scenes for each restaurant), five goodies (different counters and trays you’d find in each restaurant), and five full costumes.

Diner Dash Family Style Mini Costumes

As far as gameplay goes, the Diner Dash franchise is a series of time management games. They all feature Flo, who is a zippy waitress trying to reach her daily goal. If you haven’t played any of them, you might be interested in one of the following free trials:

For an all-around sneak peek, check out the Diner Dash: Seasonal Snack Pack. It contains the first five “episodes” of the Diner Dash series plus new levels and restaurants to try out.

Secret Monopoly Badges

by BadgeHungry on August 25, 2008

It looks as if there will be three secret badges for Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition, in addition to the five Game Award badges we told you about earlier. At this point, because they are true secret badges, we don’t yet know what the requirements are to earn these; it may be that we’ll all have to wait for the game’s release and play for hours on end to figure it out. As soon as we know, we’ll fill you in!

Operation Mania Badges, Ranks and Mini Items

by BadgeHungry on August 5, 2008

We’ve gotten a little bit more information about Operation Mania for you, this time it’s more detailed information on the badges and ranks and mini items you’ll be able to earn in this upcoming downloadable game.

There will be (not 50, but) 51 ranks in Operation Mania, and as with most Pogo game ranks, each will have a name. The first and last are “Anesthesia Technician” and “Super Surgeon”. To advance in rank you will cure patients. For each rank you earn, you will also earn a picture to hang on your hospital wall.

Five of the six Operation Mania badges will be awarded at levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. (We assume that also, as with most deluxe/downloadable games, you’ll receive a badge just for trying out the game, somewhere between ranks 0 and 1.)

We’ve shown you the Operation Mania mini items, but now we also can report that you will receive a full set of mini items (not sure what order they’ll be awarded in yet) at ranks 5, 15, 25, 35, and 45.

In addition, the game will feature a “trophy room” where you can display trophies you have received for various in-game feats (kind of like achievements, if you are familiar with the Xbox achievement system or “postcards” from the recent Slingo Quest games). Some will probably be very difficult to acquire.

Monopoly Badges all Feature Rich Uncle Pennybags

by BadgeHungry on July 19, 2008

Monopoly isn’t anywhere near completion (or release) as far as we know, but Pogo’s created the in-game badges for the upcoming Hasbro release. They all depict Rich Uncle Pennybags and we think they show him working his way up the corporate ladder, from a hotel bellboy carrying piles of luggage all the way up to heaven where his angel-self floats along throwing out golden bills of money. There are five in total, so far with no signs of special/secret badges like Scrabble had.

Jigsaw Treasure Hunter in Development

by BadgeHungry on May 15, 2008

Pogo’s working on a new game called Jigsaw Treasure Hunter. It’ll have five themes: Jungle, Seasons, Up There, Out There, and Living. The game will have 50 ranks and 5 badges (probably at ranks 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50) and it will be similar to Jigsaw Detective; you’ll be able to choose your difficulty level, use a magnet to gather up the pieces, get five hints, and preview your puzzle as you’re solving it. You can also play in one of two modes: adventure mode or normal mode.

Here are the five badges and chat icons:

Four Animal-themed Badges

by BadgeHungry on May 10, 2008

We’re not quite sure what they are for yet, but here they are:

Unreleased Pogo Badges: 1 of 4 Unreleased Pogo Chat Icon: 1 of 4   Unreleased Pogo Badges: 2 of 4 Unreleased Pogo Chat Icon: 2 of 4

Unreleased Pogo Badges: 3 of 4 Unreleased Pogo Chat Icon: 3 of 4   Unreleased Pogo Badges: 4 of 4 Unreleased Pogo Chat Icon: 4 of 4

They’re definitely part of a set, so they’re probably for a new game in the works. This theme doesn’t seem to match any of the Hasbro games on our radar, so we’ll be sure to tell you as soon as we get a working title and some idea of what kind of game it will be!
