Way to Go Bowling Won’t Be Free

BadgeHunter (of badgebunters.net fame) tipped us off to something interesting: the How to Play for Way to Go Bowling has been changed. Originally, we’d told you about how it contained a paragraph that hinted that the game would be free. Well, that paragraph has been removed entirely, so it looks like any plans Pogo may have had to release the game as a free, ad-supported download have been nixed.

We’ve updated the How to Play/Rules on our site so you can see it, as it reads now.

Rules and Backgrounds for Way to Go! Bowling

As we promised last night, here’s the full text of the rules for Way to Go! Bowling. We’ll let you speculate as to whether or not Pogo would give us a free download. Every time we read over the paragraph (which is in the section entitled “Tokens, Tickets and Prizes”), we are pretty certain the game will be free; let’s just hope that paragraph isn’t removed!

To celebrate, we’re going to show you the never-before-seen mini backgrounds you can win in the game. (The rest of the mini items are here, and the badges are here.)

It should be out really soon, now. Keep your fingers crossed for a timely release!

Way to Go! Bowling May Be Free

We got a glimpse of the “How to Play” for Way to Go! Bowling this evening and we saw something that made us go “hmmmm”…

Way To Go! Bowling is a “no-risk” game because it is completely free, yet you can win great prizes just by playing the game. We are able to offer games like these because our games are supported by advertising. It works out to be a great deal for you!

So, if this stands true at release (by the way, WAY TO GO! Pogo.com), the game will be a free download and supported by ads in-game. You’ll still be able to win badges and mini items too! (Of course, there is the small matter of this contradiction: in one of our past posts, we showed you a Game Night page that states you can win a copy of Way to Go! Bowling.)

We’ll post the full text of the rules tomorrow, but until then, sweet dreams of free deluxe downloads!

Pogo Bowl Deluxe Confirmed?

Here is pretty solid confirmation that Pogo has been secretly working on a downloadable, deluxe version of Pogo Bowl! Someone at Pogo let the cat out of the bag today by accidentally releasing a bowling ball mini goodie item to the mini mall. (It’s the fourth one featured below, and it shows up in the ‘goodies’ section of your closet in the mini mall.)
