We have to admit, we were kind of fans of Scrabulous (here’s our original post on the whole fiasco, replete with links to more sources), so it’s with a heavy heart (and perhaps fewer words than usual), we tell you about Pogo’s SCRABBLE on Facebook. You can challenge up to three friends to play a game of Scrabble. You can pause your games, track your score, chat with friends while you play, meet new people via public games, and more.
(The link to Pogo’s Scrabble on Facebook only works if you’re already logged into your Facebook account, by the way.)

More mini pets, backgrounds, and goodies were added to the mini mall today. This release also marks the first pet goodies that can be set on either the left or right side of your mini (by choosing the L or R box). Now your dog can have his frisbee, your cat can have her mouse toy, and so on. (The previously released pet goodies items are still glued to one side of your mini, however.)
Today’s release includes the backgrounds Pogo Pet Adoption Center and Reigning Queen of the House, Esmerelda. The dogs are Bashful Beagle, Beau Bulldog, Bodacious Boxer, Darling Dachsund, Litter O’ Pups, Regal Shepherd, Revolving Miniature Schnauzer, and Silly Shih-Tzu. The cats are Basket O’ Kittens, Black & White & Butterfly, Gray Striped Cat, Observational Orange Cat, Persian With Toy, Scratchin’ Calico Cat, and Stretching Siamese. There are also birds, fish, reptiles, and pocket pets with this release: Canary of Convenience, Clever Cockatoo, Happy Parrot!, Small Parakeet, Fanciful Fish, Karmic Chameleon, Unusually Exotic, You Wanna Iguana, A Gaggle of Guineas!, and Domesticated Rat. The goodies for all of these pets are Colorful Pet Toy, Flying Soft Disc, Mouse on Cheese Toy, and Pet Stroller.
This is a pretty hefty release! If you want to purchase all of the items released today, you’ll be spending 92,000 tokens and 198 gems.

We’ve gotten a little bit more information about Operation Mania for you, this time it’s more detailed information on the badges and ranks and mini items you’ll be able to earn in this upcoming downloadable game.
There will be (not 50, but) 51 ranks in Operation Mania, and as with most Pogo game ranks, each will have a name. The first and last are “Anesthesia Technician” and “Super Surgeon”. To advance in rank you will cure patients. For each rank you earn, you will also earn a picture to hang on your hospital wall.
Five of the six Operation Mania badges will be awarded at levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. (We assume that also, as with most deluxe/downloadable games, you’ll receive a badge just for trying out the game, somewhere between ranks 0 and 1.)
We’ve shown you the Operation Mania mini items, but now we also can report that you will receive a full set of mini items (not sure what order they’ll be awarded in yet) at ranks 5, 15, 25, 35, and 45.
In addition, the game will feature a “trophy room” where you can display trophies you have received for various in-game feats (kind of like achievements, if you are familiar with the Xbox achievement system or “postcards” from the recent Slingo Quest games). Some will probably be very difficult to acquire.
