A little while back, via an “oops”, Pogo gave us all the Robo-Blender 5000.
Now, via a non-”oops”, Pogo has taken it away. Fear not, Robo-Blender fans, the Editor assures us that he’ll be back when Word Riot Deluxe comes out (but you’ll have to win him, which will probably require more time than the free trial will offer).

You’re going to need to set aside some serious time for the Valley of the Kings badge that is a weekly challenge this week in Phlinx. With that said, here are a few things that might help you get your 5,000 matches a little bit faster.
* Play on “Beginner” mode.
* When you fire your stone into a group of the same color stones to create a disappearing group of three or more stones, you’re making a “match”.
* If you are not concerned about ranks (which are obtained by making groups of stones fall to the ground), just focus on firing your stones into same-colored groups of two or more.
* To maximize your time, grind away on the Pharoah’s Gold Mix-n-Match badge at the same time, which asks you to “Make 4,000 matches this week!” There are plenty of other Premium Album and Mix-n-Match badge challenges to choose from as well.
* If you can’t or don’t want to devote the time to knocking out this challenge in one fell swoop, try to do it in small bursts in a non-temporary room with talkative people in it. Sometimes scrolling chat makes time go by a little faster!
* “Save Early and Often!” Even if you aren’t prone to internet connection problems, it might be a good idea to leave and re-enter your room of choice every few hundred matches so your progress is saved.

Okay, you guys can stop emailing us now! We know it’s been three (!) whole (!!) days (!!!) since our last post, but there isn’t anything else to report yet. We thought there was surely to be a new game released this week (like Golf Solitaire), but instead there wasn’t an apparent maintenance at its scheduled time this morning and therefore nothing new on the site…yet.
Regular readers will know that we’ll be the first to update you as soon as there is news to report!

There are so many new things coming for our minis, we’re having a hard time keeping track. Add to that list a few items for the girls: jogging suit, another yoga-type outfit, a colorful dress, an outfit made completely of leather (hubba hubba), and a dress-suit for our more full-figured friends! We assume there will be menswear counterparts to these, but we haven’t seen them yet.

If the tutorial wasn’t enough information for you about How to Play Crazy Cakes, the rules are now available.
Here are just a few of the things we’ve learned from the full ruleset: it’ll be a Club Pogo game, there will be tons of powerups, each rank you earn will grant you a dessert recipe you can print out and bake, and you won’t need to win the game to progress in rank, just serve a lot of customers.
