“Visit Ports” badges in Perfect Pair Solitaire?

There are several weeklies/PC’s for Perfect Pair where you have to land exactly on a star spot on the board (port location).
I have found it challenging to manipulate the cards to get an exact number of hearts (and thus moves on the game board). What tips might y’all have to more often land on the star spots?

I didn’t find it too hard to do. I was usually getting less hearts than normal. Know how many you need for the next port then use the kings to clear out the hearts building up to the 4. Also use the perfect pair when the 4 hearts are almost full.
