when I bring up games to play they are very small on my screen. Is there anywhere on POGO to increase the size of the game screen?

No, there is no way to increase window size on Pogo. Your only option is to reduce your resolution to around 1024×768 so the Pogo game window will fill more of your screen.

I have tried this and while you can force the browser to become full size, the game area for play doesn’t change. I would suggest experimenting with different resolutions to see if you find a better combo of game size and readability.

Just right click on your windows screen and choose screen resolution.

Do I understand that game screen is the same size, no matter what size monitor is used?
Asking because I got larger monitor recently thinking games would show larger, making it easier on my eyes, but game size was same, so after trying all sorts of things, game size stayed the same. Anyone looking for a brand new 20″ monitor that does nothing to help me play easier on Pogo? Just kidding, it looks very nice on the closet shelf!!!

@Brenda- The bigger the monitor the larger (smaller for your eyes) the default resolution is set to. I have a 23″ Flat screen wide screen monitor that came with my new Dell and at the default (factory) settings I couldn’t of played “Clue Secrets and Spies” if I had a magnifying glass. Forget Payday Freecell.

I had to try out several settings before I found one that not only made things nice and big for my tired old eyes but also did NOT make things look distorted. I believe my resolution is currently set to 1,028 X 768 and now everything is nice and big and easy to see. LOL Including the game windows! ;o)

Oops, that should have read 1,024 X 768. It’s way past my bedtime. Sorry about that.

@BlueDogs, Thanks, but we tried that & much more. Game window size never changed no matter what we did & all the changing affected other things in a not-so-good way. Had to go back to 17″ & leave well enough alone.
From what I think I understood from 2 other replies, game size stays same, but no one else has replied to confirm that. :\

    Bparsont:
As everyone else has stated the resolution is the problem.
To fix this go to your Windows Start button and choose the Control Panel Button.
Look for the Personalization Icon, click this. (You know this is the correct icon if options include: Display Settings, Screen Saver, and Desktop Background)
Choose Display Settings — most likely at the bottom of the screen.
I like a big picture so I use 800 X 600 for most games and all internet sites.
When I have to play Clue, Flower Power, Pucks Peak I change the resolution to 1024 X 768 so I can see the whole playing field.
Hope this helps you to fix your screen size :)

@Brenda – Perhaps you were changing the wrong settings??? Screen resolution size WILL most definitely change the game window size if you set it to a larger (the numbers will be smaller actually) resolution. If your new monitor came with a driver installation CD be sure you installed it. Then be sure you go to the manufacturers website and look up your particular monitor model number up under support > drivers (or driver downloads, or downloads) and see if there is an updated driver available for your monitor. Often the installation CD’s contain an already outdated driver, or a driver that is in need of a patch to function correctly with certain operating systems or video cards by the time you have bought the monitor.

Hope this helps :o) Good luck!

I should also add to my last post regarding drivers and patches that you should go to my computer > System Properties > Device Manager and find out what type of video card you have. You may need to update your video card as well.

Depending on your computer you may have a program that will automatically look for hardware updates for your particular computer. Windows update can also be set to look for some updates like this but I prefer to go straight to my computer manufacturers site (Dell) go to the Support section and put in my Service Tag number then search for hardware driver updates myself.

I would only recommend this to people who are fairly computer literate however. Don’t go flashing your BIOS if you don’t know what a BIOS is. ;o)

Thanks to both of you, much appreciated. I will print your replies, but have to wait til weekend for hubby to change monitors, then we’ll try recommendations & see how it goes. Then I will update info here.
@Blue, good idea, but can’t go to dealer’s site. Hubby had puter ‘made’ at local chain, (relative of coworker), not a major name.
I think my main problem is I NEED a new puter, hopefully soon! Santa forgot :(

    You Are So Welcome bparsont.
The same thing happened to me when I changed monitors, took me HOURS to fix it, lol.
Remember to change back and forth for those games that need/use more space –> especially Clue and Flower Daze!
FYI –> If you do not change the resolution for Clue you will miss items hidden at the bottom of the screen. Even with hints you cannot find the item.
So happy my advice helped. :) Have a wonderful day!
