Java 7 Update 45 is now available. It is recommended that you upgrade to this latest version of Java to play Pogo games. If you receive a pop-up recommending that you update Java, click “Update (recommended)” to download the update from Java.com.
When installing Java, you may want to uncheck the box to install the Ask toolbar — it is not needed to play Pogo games or use Java.
Once you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Java, you should no longer see the pop-up telling you that your Java version is out of date.
Important! If you are noticing that your games are not continuing at the Play Again screen, it’s because Java needs your approval before continuing. Look at your taskbar at the bottom of your screen to see if there is a Java security warning window that needs your attention.
On this screen, Pogo recommends you choose “Allow” to play their games without stalling at the Play Again screen.
Note: if you close your browser or refresh the window you may need to allow access again in order to continue playing. You may need to do this for every Java game, every time you play.
Update 10/22/2013: reports are coming in that the “allow access” dialog box is not popping up anymore. Hooray!
