most of these seem fairly easy and seems like a few can be paired with the newer mix and match so that at least 2 badges won at the same time. One question I have is why , if this album only has 8 badges, does it cost 86 gems. it Isn’t listed as a special edition that I have seen and previously 8 badge albums were discounted.

Why is the album 86 gems? It’s not listed as Limited Edition, yet it only has 8 badges…
Can we say going forward that all PBA’s with a minimum of 8 badges will be 86 gems?

Example Monopoly World and others in the past have been purchased for 72 gems

I spoke to Live Chat regarding the pricing, I basically got the answer – if you don’t want the album, don’t buy it!
I agree… but I was asking for an answer – why is this particular PBA more expensive than previous ones.
I don’t complain about Pogo, but if they can not give me a valid reason, then I will be holding off on this one until a PBA sale.
If it’s a price hike, then fine. But at least issue an article explaining that they have indeed decided to increase the cost of PBA’s.
there are some cute badges in this album, i like that little wooly mammoth face… as for the pricing.. i would hazard a guess that 86 gems will be the standard pricing for the 8 piece albums, and they will likely all be 8′s coming out in the future. it doesn’t really affect me since i don’t buy them, but it does seem sad that they find so many ways to part people with their money. when i first joined, i saw badge albums were 12 badges.. then the norm seemed to be 10.. now i think it might be changing yet again. it still works out to some cheap entertainment value. happy badging everyone!

The pricing will not stop me from buying it. It’s just like a container of ice cream, the price has stayed the same, but the container is smaller.
I like most of the games in this PBA. The only 1 that I dread is Harvest Mania. It’s not difficult, just boring to me. But I’m sure that there are a lot of people that love the game. That’s what makes Pogo such a great place, games for everyone!!

Great album, I like most of the challenges. Will hold off until there’s a sale though, not going to spend 86 gems on 8 badges. I might write a LTTE and see if this is going to be a permanent thing. I hope not, but the ways things are going I wouldn’t be surprised.

Not real happy about the price, but it will not keep me from buying it. After all, 8 badges would be 128 gems, so still a good deal.

I think I will buy this one, there’s a few games in there I don’t like but they seem to be fairly simple badges so not a big deal. But I love the artwork, so I’m buying. As for the pricing…if that’s going to be the go forward then fine, but say so. I seem to remember the last time this came up with the Limited Edition Endless Love album, they said it was just a one time thing because it was a special album…..hmmm, now its the same way again for a decidedly not “special” album. Come on Pogo, if that’s the new price then just be honest about it don’t try to say its not only to do the exact opposite.
Pogo on Facebook just announced that it is mis-priced and will be 72 gems. Hold off it you are going to buy it and if you already have you need to contact customer service to get your gems back!
I don’t find it surprising at all that pogo will increase prices for these. After all What is the last Pogo original game they put out that was club only exclusive? It was Balloon Bounce July 2010 and with no beta and flash in the box games all scheduled upcoming, they are losing membership and making up where they can. It’s business and EA has it’s hands into so many other thing, this is just a sliver.

Well, I like all the challenges and will get them. Let’s me figure this out, the price went up but that’s still 10.75 gems per badge as compared to mix-n-match badges at 16 gems each. Oh dear, I think I don’t care about the price. I deny myself a lot of truly expensive non-pogo things in life that I really do not care about anyway. I enjoy Pogo, it has been my “hobby” since 2002 and it keeps me off the streets… lol. What does bother me is when you purchase a premium badge and then pogo deletes it from your badge album. I am specifically talking about the mix-n-match Poppit “Cactus Quartet” badge from 2007 that was in my album #5 of # 39 albums. I contacted pogo via live chat this morning and yet the badge is not returned, but they are working on it. Oh yeah, now let me get to this new album and get ‘er done.

Went to CS no refund. Raj wasn’t sure when they would start that. They should just left it at 86 gems cause now i’, not happy and I bought 2 albums.
I already bought the album for myself & gifted the album to 2 great friends .. Does not matter to me what the price is because I enjoy playing the games :) Hope everyone has a great day
Well, some pogo folks are not very friendly. I was in online help for quite a while trying to get my gems back, and this is the response I finally received:

Feeling badly that others have reported a hard time getting the 14 gems back through live CS chat. I was able to get mine back in just a few minutes with no hassle.

I emailed Customer Service about an hour ago to get my 14 gems refunded. I prefer email over live chat, that’s just my preference.

I contacted live chat. My wait was less than 1 minute. The associate I chatted with immediately credited my account with the 14 gems. It may have helped that I explained I purchased the album and was told to contact Customer Experience for a refund of 14 gems, then copy and pasted Pogo Tahd’s comment at #16. The entire live chat lasted less than 2 minutes. Thank you for the heads up!

I think it is very nice of Pogo_Tahd to come and post here telling us about the mispriced album. Also I reas that some saw this same announcement in FB.
But I too think that they should say this directly on Pogo, in the News section or elsewhere, not every one comes to BH to read the lastests news and not every one (like myself) go to FB. These persons have the right to know also and in case they already got this album they too have the right to ask for a refund. JMHO

I purchased this album yesterday for 86 gems. When I found out that it was incorrectly priced, I emailed Pogo. I woke up this morning to find that the 14 gems had been refunded to me. More often than not, when Pogo does get it wrong, they do their best to correct their mistake. It may not happen as fast as this correction, but in time it does happen.

hi all, i show the notice of the price change of the album.. i sent an email request for the refund. of the gems .. i noticed ea help has much improved since the last time i sent an email. much easier to work around. way to go pogo .. first time i saw live chat there since i sent an emai.. wait time was 10 minuutes. .lol

My first time making a comment. I was going to buy the new album Time Warp yesterday untill I saw the gem price. I read all the comments today and find out the price has been corrected. Will be gifting the album to a friend. This is the best site and thank you for all the daily information.
Thank you BadgeHungry again, for information regarding this album. I purchased it as soon as it was available at 86 gems. Due to this blog, I became aware that the 86 gem price was in error and that by contacting customer service I could get a 14 gem refund. I got my refund pretty easily via Live Chat. I am sure glad that via this site and others that Live Chat support was restored to Pogo. In my opinion this site provides much more customer support via information than Pogo does. I have the album half done now.

I am glad to see everyone got a refund ! Pogo did NOT give me a refund told me if you dont like the price then dont buy any more albums . I even copied what Pogo put on facebook & on here ! I was more less told to bad ! They owe me 42 gems because I bought 3 albums for myself & friends … I was treated like a was a liar & complete trash when I went to live chat ! I wish I knew where to go to file a complaint !
ok Lura I can sign into ea then I clicked live chat an origin pops up to sign in an this is ware is telling me server is univalible.I have been on live chat before with no problems but this has me so upset.
Sue: have you tried using a different web browser? Sometimes that works. If it doesn’t work, see the last paragraph of that help guide I linked earlier and send a letter to the editor or contact them via social media. Don’t get upset, they’ll get it sorted out for you. :)

For those that have already purchased this album before they change the price like me. I just did a live chat with a customer service person from pogo and she refund my gems no questions asked. So if you need a refund just go into the help area and pick any game than when it lets you do the live chat. That will get you to a live person so you can get your refund! Good Luck!!

With all that’s going on with Pogo I don’t think
short changing us on an album is really the right
thing to do just now. Other 8 badge albums have been
released at 72 gems.
Tips if you’re ranked out in Whomp when you get the
bonus word you can just click New Game you get the
credit for the badge. I took turns sometimes did the
whole puzzle sometimes just got the word 56 games is
a lot. Nice 1st Class sol. Every card played counted.
That Puzzle one is going to be hard for me! Have fun ev1!
