you do not have to win the game to get credit for cards placed in foundation stack no really big tips other than that…took me all of 10 mins to get this badge DUH…for the life of me i cant figure out pogo 21 days for 10 min badge but yet we get 21 mins for 21 day badge…they need some serious coordination and promotions people as movie trivia has not work since they brought it back but once then on reset once..hagd all <3 boop

Me too. I was thinking “There must be a mistake. 50 cards in 21 days? Can’t be. I can do it within 10 minutes.” And yes it was 50 cards. I can’t believe they make these easy requirement for 21 days. I was thinking it clud be 50 games not 50 cards or 500 0r 5000 cards. But yeah Pogo sure sometimes unimaginable. Maybe they do this to make ppl don’t get to depressed after many ppl depressed about Risk. Oh yeah Final Jigsaw Detective Case and Balloon Bounce was released also if any1 don’t know

Goodness, this was an easy badge. I wonder if Pogo just wanted to show off the ~*makeover*~ they gave the game. Granted, I did not complete one single game, but had to play like six or seven. I’m typically prudent with my moves in Take Flight, but 50 cards in a foundation deck is a mere breeze.

I was very surprised to finish the First Class Solitaire badge in less than 10 minutes. At first I thought it was a mistake, but then I realized why Pogo gave us such an easy badge today. Today is the last day players have to finish the requirements for the Summer Bloom badge. Pogo probably added this badge to give players one more badge to help them meet those requirements. I don’t think it was a mistake on Pogo’s part. I finished the Summer Bloom badge a long time ago, but I’m sure there are others who still need today to finish it. Good Luck!

I have the feeling they meant the badge to be 50 foundation STACKS instead of cards as completed foundation stacks is a very common goal for badges in this game. Either someone messed up, or is Pogo still trying to make nice because of the risk badge? :-)

I am sure it is a mistake. I won my first game, which I normally do not do, and got this badge in all of 2 minutes. I think somebody “screwed” up.

Same here, won mine in the first game I played. I was kinda hoping for something more challenging since we had 21 days to complete it.

Ardenwolfe 07.27.10 at 10:20 am

Sure enough, I got this badge in one and half games. The last game I won.

If nothing else, Pogo is releasing these badges and games like nobodies business!

Really thought it was going to be 500 or 5,000 cards when I saw that it gave you 3 weeks to complete it, or 50 foundation stacks. Quick & easy like everyone else has said.

Maybe they made this so easy because so many players have been frustrated with the RISK badge……..just a thought.

Luv #4- The FCS badge is a Special Edition badge, and won’t count toward the Summer Bloom Super Badge.

First impression when I saw this badge: FCS, AGAIN? Seriously?

Second impression: Thank goodness for 21 days, because I can’t stand this game and the cards hurt my eyes.

Third impression: Wait, only 50 CARDS??

(Pause in impressions to check BH, saw Frank’s post #3 and thought, ohhhh, ~*Makeover*~ lol)

First in-game impression: A TUTORIAL, seriously? For solitaire??? (Hint to Pogo: Go create a RISK tutorial before Hasbro sues you.)

Second in-game impression: They did a makeover and left the cards as blurry as ever?? Typical.

As others have said, very fast badge. Less than 15 minutes, and that’s with a phone call in the middle of playing.

Last impression: Some things never change. I ended up with 49 of 50, so I had to go for one more game in order to finish the badge. If I had a buck for every time THAT has happened to me during a badge… lol

Not sure if it was a mess-up, or a help to finish the Summer Bloom badge or a combo of the two. Just glad it was completely painless.

One tip: Click the “do not show this tutorial again” button and fast! lol

Sheljin #12 – Amen sister. I can’t tell you how many times I end up 1 off from completing a badge.

As for the praise/complaints, a badge is a badge. I’m glad it was painless b/c I’m not very good at First Class Solitaire so if it had been 500 I probably wouldn’t have done it.

Either way, I got a free badge. Yay for that.

Too easy! As one of the few Pogonians that truly like this game, I was hoping to get a few games closer to my next rank with this, but won my 1st game & that was it. Not complaining though, cute badge! :)

kaashae 07.27.10 at 4:00 pm

Total breeze, won it on the first game. Funny how they put 21 days… talk about overkill LOL has to of been a mistake IMO.

In total agreement with Shel #12 about revamping the game but leaving the cards blurry and minute. I usually play several games daily, used to be one of my favorite game when my m.s would let my hands work playing with real cards. I play it once a day for the 500 tokens. But I now play World Class instead as the cards are larger, crisper. They seem to have sped up the flipping motion too.
Anyway got the badge in one game, thought it was a typo too at first, but I think it’s a Pogo band aid for Risk.

One and done on FCS is definitely a different scenario than I’m used to but why kvetch about it…its a “free” badge

Janet 07.27.10 at 6:43 pm

Mistake or not, it’s one more badge to add to my collection. LOL Delightful!

Pogo’s Public Relation team is hard at work. Now maybe they can get Quality Control to come back to work. LOL Gotta love it!!

Travlr 07.27.10 at 6:52 pm

Pogo is so generous with badges these days.

Also be on the lookout on the Pogo home page there is a new freebie of 25000 tokens for solving a puzzle.

Ima 07.27.10 at 7:15 pm

I don’t see any sinister plot or giant goof, I think this badge was simply another way for POGO to say “Happy 7th Birthday” to Club Pogo… after all, it did come out on the last day of the celebration.

Keep playing and keep smiling!

I am one that likes that game but it seriously was one of those that took so little time. I wish it had a little more to it then that but oh well. I will just go back to working on albums. LOL But for those that don’t like those kind of games or can’t play them long it is one of those perfect badges to get since it won’t take to long at all and you don’t have to win.

Sheljin #12 – I took your tip but fast and now will never have to see the tutorial again. ;)

I was not looking forward to yet another FCS challenge and I, too, thought a mistake was made when it said to place 50 cards in the foundation stacks. However, I think we all lucked out with this one.

I recently went to have my eyes checked and my opthamologist asked what I thought had happened to have a rapid deterioration in my vision. I said, “Oh, easily explained. I just ranked out in First Class Solitaire!” Major feat but stronger glasses……what we do for Pogo. ;)

Frank #3 I looked forward to the “makover” thinking that the cards would be similar to those in WCS but no such luck. Just hope there aren’t many more challenges in this game or I might not be able to see where my monitor is anymore.

All kidding aside, this is a very fast badge to attain but I am glad that Pogo either gave us a gift or made a mistake and it was too late to change the challenge!

Have a great week everyone…..and thanks for everything today, Lura!

Shel #12 – you are too funny. I also agree that they should have made the numbers and suits bigger for the makeover so that it’s easier to see them.

I also thought it must have been a mistake and should have said 50 foundation stacks. Oh well, got the badge in less than 2 minutes – I got lucky and won my first (and only) game as I’m not that fond of FCS.

Anyway, I have two tips, not really for this special badge, but instead if you are playing to win the game.

Tip #1 – Examine the original layout of the cards. Since the last two piles on the right have the most cards buried under them, you want the top cards to play – either AA, or an Ace and a suited deuce or the bonus multiplier cards or something like a black ten and red nine that play on a red jack on another pile. If not, click new game repeatedly until you get a better looking layout.

Tip #2 – This one is a little harder to explain – I tend to be a visual learner – but hopefully this makes sense. Sometimes it is helpful to move only a partial amount of a pile. What I mean is sometimes you will be able to move say the five of hearts (and anything underneath it) to a different pile containing the five of diamonds, if you have already played the ace, 2, 3, 4 of hearts in the foundation. Sometimes the deal will give you two suits that you can play a lot of, but say a 2 or 3 from another suit is buried. Well, sometimes by manipulating the piles as I just mentioned, you can uncover these buried cards.

Tip # 3 (ha, I just thought of a bonus tip). Sometimes it can be helpful to actually pull cards back from the foundation stacks. If you are stuck when clicking through the cards in the deck, but you have a black 2 near the top, it can sometimes work to your advantage to pull back down a red 3 (obviously if you have a black 4 showing) and play the black 2 thus changing some of the cards that show up when you click through the deck.

Well, this seems to make sense…. I just got a promotional e-mail from Pogo and it looks like this badge is a small incentive for their 7-day guest pass plus 25k tokens promotional. ;)
