not on Pogo, but AOL. I normally play her account to complete the badges and ussually tell others in a site that I frequent that I am not her. After 10 years, this online connection has very few hiccups.

Yes I did, weve benn together 3 years…..I just wish we lived closer…….its really tough especially this time of year…

I didnt find my true love on Pogo, but have met a lot of long term good friends on Pogo, some that I consider family. There are even a few that call me Mom, and did so before I had this screen name :) There is one couple that calls me Mom, and they actually did meet on Pogo. They have been together for close to 7 years now. They live in New Hampshire and used to come visit me a couple of times a year when I lived in New Jersey.
In the summer of 2003 I traveled from NJ to Indiana and stayed with some friends from Pogo. I took a day trip to Chicago to meet up with some other Pogo friends. Then I met up with another friend and we traveled to Missouri so that she could meet up with someone she met on Pogo. I was gone for close to 4 weeks and had a wonderful time with everyone that I met from Pogo. Ive been very lucky having met so many wonderful friends on Pogo, and wouldnt trade those friendships for anything.
When my true love passed away in Jan 2003 I received over 100 emails from Pogo players all over the world…Africa, New Zealand, Scotland, Britain, and tons from the USA. Its what got me thru those first few weeks. Actually had one friend from Arizona fly in for the funeral. You cant even imagine what that meant to me.
I dont really chat that much anymore when Im playing on Pogo, but once in awhile I do….and then you cant shut me up….LOL

Im not usually a big chatter, even though Ive made friends with some who post here.

I have a question to ask, and I was wondering if any of you knew. I have yet to download any games from Pogo, but the Poppit To Go and The Poppit Show ones sound interesting. I was wondering what the difference between the two were, and if any come with ranks and badges.

Since Im now caught up with Jigsaw Detective, I realized that there were some games that I havent yet tried – so Im now trying those out.

I decided that, since I dont really enjoy Trivial Pursuit that much – I wont worry about remaining caught up with that game. Especially not now that theyre deleting old archives, and Im all ranked out. If I ever feel a need to snag some extra tokens, though – at least I know where to look. *winks*

Also, Im wondering if anyone has yet ranked out of Crossword Cove.

I have a question about the mix n match badges. I wrote to POGO support and really couldn’t understand his english! If I purchase a mix and match badge and don’t complete the challenge in the time specified, I can reactivate the challenge and try again, right? I would think that if you purchase the challenge badge with gems, you should get the chance to try for it again. How soon can you reactivate and try again? Is there a time limit that you must earn the badge by? Sorry for all the ???’s – still learning the ropes here. BTW – love the Sweet Tooth challenge, but find the HH boring. I am trying for a game award with HH, so it’s not for nothing though.

When you purchase a mix n match badge it is yours forever. If you dont finish it in the time limit you can reactivate imediatelly. If you have finished it you can also rseactivate as many times as you want the tokens won lower every time. The first time by 1000 and then by 100 each time. At least that is what I have found out to be for me. Hope this helps.

For Serena #8 – Ive done all the CC puzzles except for the first two, didnt know they were going to delete them so fast. I got to rank 45 earlier this week, so that is the highest rank that anyone could have at this point.

For Ratpeople #12 – Thats the best part of the MM badges and the premium albums. You can reactivate them as often as you want. Its the badge that keeps on giving….LOL

I know of quite a few there who met playing DCR, then in some cases got together romantically in real life to live happily ever after.
Not my thing, but hey, whatever works for them is okay by me.

for serena # 8 popit show has rankes badges and also you get mini items, clothes and backgrounds @ different levels of rank ( they come in the early ranks so you dont have to wait long) also the popit show has like 100 ranks now i think it is they added to it after it initially came out….
also most of the pogo deluxe games do have mini items and backgrounds, along with badges and ranks, you just have to read the description before you purchase them, most will say badges and mini or avatar items.
the game i know that have mini items are majhong deluxe, tri-peaks deluxe, popit show, way to go bowling, pictureka, and wordwhomp underground and seems like few more….
for jaybopp #17 when you buy mix and match they never expire, the exp is for purchase by only and the play part has no exp… it will be in your album forever and can be re-activated over and over …

This is off the topic but curious to see if any one else has had this problem with their friends list on pogo —- i have a friend on my list but any time she is in a game room it doesnt tell me where or that she is even in pogo. I have other friends on my list and I can always find them . Any ideas ????

Sheila # 24 – As far as I know, the only reason you cant see your friend while she is online and in gamerooms is that she has you blocked in some way. Have you asked her about it? Pogo has all these different ways of blocking people now – you can put them on your list and block them individually. You can choose an option whereby no one can see you unless you have them on your Friends list. It could be she deleted you by accident, or clicked block on you by accident, or even has it set for blocking everyone and doesnt realize it. Unless someone else pipes in here, I really think the problem is on your friends end.

I was checking something out in my settings for gifts and just by going in to that area, I reset all my settings! I definitely didnt do it on purpose. But if I hadnt noticed it, my profile would have been set to private without me even knowing it. I have a feeling alot of people have their profiles marked private who have no clue they are that way.

Serena #21 – I am all caught up on my personal badges for previous years, but when I had a bunch to do, I basically went by what I felt like doing….or what would be the easiest if I didnt have alot of time. Others I would save for a week when I had a lot of time – as I recall, alot of the early badges (2003) were pretty time-consuming to do. Lots of freecell too, which I hate, so I put off and then suddenly had just a bunch of them to do. ugh. lol

My question for everyone is this: Has anyone been a beta-tester before? What is it like? What are your good/bad experiences or thoughts? I had the application all filled out one time until the very end when I read how I would not be able to hold Pogo accountable if any of their new little games basically fried my computer. lol That gave me pause – I need my computer and really dont have the funds to replace it because a Pogo game messes something up.

Serena, The Poppit Show game is a lot of fun. You not only get badges, but items for your mini. Some of the items are ok, Others are fun.

I have not met a true love on Pogo or the internet, but am willing to try. Look me up.

This is to answer Sheilas question, or anyone else who may have had this problem – in regards to not being able to see what room a friend is in. I had the same issue with not being able to see what room my sister was in when she was on the site. I deleted her from my friends list completely. When the 2 of us were playing a game together, I went to the whos here list and I chose to view profile. Then when her profile popped up, there was an option to add her as a friend. I did so and I have no trouble finding her now. I hope this helps.

serena #29 other than the themes or lay outs of the game i dont think there is mych difference, only on popit to go u dont have to be online to play and once you connect on line it credits you the tokens earned while off line… i think they are all just popping balloons lol….best way is to decide for you self, they have free trials, where you can try out and play the game for free for 1 hour, go to downloads section, there you will find the games, it will have 2 boxes one says try free the other says buy now, so just download and do the trial and see for youself……hope this helps ya…

@ Toni ( #11) – there are many complications, but the basic thing was he moved in with me (when we had information from the border that said if we did, and this, and this wed be ok) … when he went to visit his folks for Thanksgiving last year, he was denied entry into Canada. Because we (used to) identify our relationship as engaged, we would have to get married before either of us could apply to change citizenship … and Im just worried, wanting to make sure that this is the best decision for me and us.

The hardship we faced through the Christmas season being apart for the first time in 7 years put a lot of strain on us. Ive told him I needed to step back and figure things out, but were better now.
Right now, were focusing on going back to school and making a better life for ourselves, whereever we live.

I didn’t meet my guy on Pogo, but we did meet online. I was 17, he was 19, and we were both members of a forum for gamers. This story always upsets people who have children, but oh well. I knew another member of the forum in real life, and he also knew my boyfriend, so I knew he was actually 19 and not some creepy old guy. He came to visit me in California and I thought we could just hang out for a week and no one would ever find out. Of course, my mom found out and I got in HUGE trouble for meeting someone from the internet. She didn’t care that I had proof he was who he said he was, but I can’t say that I blame her. She hated him and threatened to call the police if he came near me. Still, instead of staying for just a week and going home, he stayed in California until I turned 18 and we moved to Connecticut together. We definitely had a strange start, but our 5-year anniversary is later this month and we got engaged last year. Also, my mom loves him now, lol.

Hi. I already posted a response, but I just wanted to clarify – about not being able to see a friend in a game room. I thought about putting this in earlier, but I didnt want to take up too much space.

As I said before, I had the same issue with my sister. We both still have the same last name, and I thought that there was a glitch, possibly. She assured me that she did not have me blocked. It was just really weird. I dont know how or why it was goofing up like that, but the solution was easy. We were playing a game together in the same room. I deleted her from my friends list. I scrolled the whos here list and I clicked on her screen name and chose to view profile. Once that popped up, I clicked the tab or link or whatever it is to add to friends. Since I have done it that way, I can see her now whenever I look for her. I dont understand what the difference is in the WAY I added her, but it worked for me. Im telling you, just try it and see if it works. It could be that your name is blocked, but that may not always be the case. I hope this helps.

I have attempted a few online relationships, but they never seem to get very far..you soon learn what it is the other person has not quite been honest about, so I dont even bother anymore. But my younger brother met his wife online, not at pogo. He had been married the old fashioned way twice before and had never celebrated a first wedding anniversary. He met and chatted with Julie via webcam and met her face to face for the first time when she flew in for their wedding. They have been married for six years and are doing great. I guess just like with anyway you meet someone, anything can happen.

I wish there was a Dear Nettie column on the UK site, too – because then Id be able to read more of her. According to a recent UK Letters to the Editor, though – she, apparently, doesnt get that many UK people writing in.

For me, it was late March, 2000 and a friend told me about this site called POGO. Loving Roulette as much as I do, I played there constantly, back when the rooms were, #1, #2, etc. Then they changed the room names to Congress. Treasure Island and so on. I wasnt even looking for any1, I had a b/f of 5 years, but, he was starting to drive me a tad bonkers with all his drinking and drugging, so I finally booted him to the curb. Low and behold, this guy had been coming in Roulette, who made me laugh uncontrollably (made me pmp more than once) LOL and I just love to laugh like that. B4 we knew it, we were chatting on the phone, sending snail mail back n forth with pics of ourselves and getting along great! In Sept. of 00, he flew from FL up to Buffalo to meet me and had me flown down to the Tampa area to spend time together. We made plans to live together, here in FL, thank God! I hated Buffalo! We got along just great for about 5 years, til he got sick of me and found another here in POGO. Broke my heart so badly, I cried for a year and a half. He was the great love of my life! But , now hes happily married to the other woman and so am I to the new great love of my life ~ a much nicer and not so discerning man. All is good, we still chat now n then (hes such a smart-azz)! LOL. So, Happy Valentines Day, KAV and tyvm for getting me outta Buffalo and down here in sunny FL, which I will live here for all my days. I learned an expensive lesson and am happily going forward w/my new, wonderful life. Happy ending after all, eventho, I dearly miss all my friends in Roulette, no one ever goes into those rooms any more, oh well, Happy Valentines Day to all my POGO friends and ev1. My husband and I met in pogo spades in March 2003 as opponents lol. Eventually we became spades partners as well as life partners (married 10 months after meeting on pogo) and this March will not only be 7rs since we first met but also our baby boy turns 1.

I havent met any love interests on Pogo, but it has helped me keep in touch with loved ones when I was traveling looking for a job (back when job interviews could even be had!) and recently when I was in a self imposed quarantine for getting H1N1. It is nice to meet a friend in a room for a little chat and I really enjoy doing personal badges together with my roommate – even if I tend to lag behind on the scores! (This week we are doing a Poppit! one and I cant get the right prizes to fall… :P I am so far behind.)

Id actually love to meet more of the BH regulars online. What ever happened to having a BH get together? We should throw out a day, game, and room name and have a BH open house!

I really have enjoyed reading about everyone who has met their significant other on Pogo! Thanks so much for sharing your stories with us. I met my husband the normal way, he was my neighbor….lol…lol…

This is my first post, and I have a question about using the answers for Trival Pursuit. I was playing Trival Pursuit just now and someone accused me of cheating and said they were going to report me to Pogo for using the answers provided here on BadgeHungry.com. My question is, is it cheating to use the answers when playing Triavl Pursuit and has anyone else ran into to this accusation of cheating just for using the answers?

This guy was a real jerk about it and it really upset. Any replies would be greatl!

Interesting that the state of NH has come up so often here. Never knew my little state had so many POGO fans!

For the personal badges, I am trying to gradually fill up all the previous weekly badges, one year at a time. Right now I am working on a shuffle bump badge, a game I had never played before. I have to say I find it pretty annoying. It often starts getting choppy, but I have to complete the whole game to get credit for my bonus rounds, so I try to stick with it. About 50% of the time it then crashes my browser before I can get done, so no credit for bonus rounds achieved. Five days, and Im still only 2/3 of the way to the badge. Technical problems that interfere with badges are extremely frustrating. I get knots in my stomach just opening the game now, but I have to keep going!! Bleah!!

Re: Trivial Pursuit. I think those are empty threats from someone who cant google pogo trivial pursuit answers. There are lots of sites that provide them, not just here. Why get irritated when other people get perfect scores, unless theres a burr under your saddle about something else? Ignore and block, and go along your merry way collecting pies! :-)

Hi all and happy valentines day. I did not meet my husband online (too old for that) LOL. I have known him all my life. This month we will be married for 49yrs. His health is poor and I am losing him but he is the love of my life.. This is very hard to adjust to and I am doing the best I can but just cant imagine life without him.

Hi Lura :) My first time posting…I know 3 online love stories. One couple meet in pogo and now live together and will eventually marry. One meet in spades but not pogo and are married now for many years…and the kicker – my husband and i married in Vegas and the witnesses for us were people we met in pogo!
