i am so happy the “TRI-ING” week is over, just hope pogo works out something for those that had put off getting the badge for another week till they had more time, or those that wanted it were able to get it!
as for sweet tooth and the chocolate coins, it shouldnt take to long, for 7 coins, as i done the badge in outta this world for the 51 coins and to my amaziment was able to accomplish it in about 3 hours maybe less, the 1st hour was spent trying to win game and match it then realized just make matches best i could till coins came which are usually late in game and then work strictly for coins, so it worked out…
gl to all with their badges this week and hopefully we all have a blessed and “THANKFUL” week of badge hunting……….boop

Any hints on getting the Sweet Tooth badge would be greatly appreciated!

3

Lura 11.18.09 at 10:20 am

Sharilyn: read the comment and check out the link I made in the original post. It should be fairly simple.

I’ve been playing on level 4 and hitting new game until I see at least one chocolate coin. Then I make matches near the coin(s) in hopes of connecting them up with another one that may come into play. It’s not entirely the easiest thing to do, but at least it’s only 7 matches. (Most of us will probably end up making 3 sets of 3 though, as that’s easiest.) I got mine in 4 games (none of which I won, the first one was a total bust because I tried it on level 5 and clearly couldn’t handle it).

And now on to Pogo Bowl… speaking of which, does anyone want to take some screenshots of their ‘sweet spot’ lineups for strikes? I’d be happy to start a gallery of those, too. Just email me (admin@…).

For pogo bowl, play in the fast rooms and don’t worry about technique, just knock those pinnies down.

Am sooooo glad this isn’t another “strike” badge.

Monica 11.18.09 at 10:49 am

Good Luck to Everyone On Their Badges This Week

6

Dave 11.18.09 at 10:53 am

Badges are done 52 minutes. gl ev1

7

Shelly 11.18.09 at 11:09 am

For Sweet Tooth don’t forget to play on Caramel mode and on level 4 or 5.
Also don’t forget you can move pieces diagonally to make matches.

Like Dave I have got both badges done in under an hour……total extreme to last week…lol

8

watchfan 11.18.09 at 11:17 am

only took me a hour to get both weekly badges think pogo making up 4 the hours on end tri-peaks badge lol gl 2uall who still working on badges

9

Brian 11.18.09 at 11:18 am

Yes badges were a breeze this week both done in bout 45 minutes gl to all

10

Kitty 11.18.09 at 11:38 am

For the Sweet Tooth Badge. Remember to be on Level 4 or 5.

I sugguest if you start a game without coins showing click NEW GAME until you atleast have 2 coins from the start. Remember you DO NOT have to Win the game to get credit for matching the coins. It only took me about 15 minuets doing it this way. Goodluck!

11

tami 11.18.09 at 11:45 am

like watchfan, only took me an hour as well. Hope u all have a great weekend !

12

Bea 11.18.09 at 11:46 am

13

wceagles1983 11.18.09 at 12:05 pm

badges were very easy i had sweet done in the first 4 minutes of starting badge week

14

Gecko 11.18.09 at 12:14 pm

I’m not doing so well getting the coins to line up so this badge is going to take me a lot longer than an hour, but I did learn that if you remove a coin via the… buckshot? maybe? power up it doesn’t count and you lose a coin. (The powerup that removes random pieces from the board, the name is escaping me, sorry.) Anyways, heads up that you might want to be careful with those. I’m guessing then, other power ups don’t count as “collecting” either. I thought I was pretty good at sweet tooth, but I can’t seem to get going this morning.

15

KodiacCub 11.18.09 at 12:15 pm

Sighs…what nice EASY badges. Both done in under an hour. And for the first time, I got a jackpot spin in Pogo Bowl.

@Bea #12, if you have not played this game before, levels 4 and up will be a bit complicated. Just take your time and practice. Use your power ups and the coins will come.

16

carol 11.18.09 at 12:52 pm

yes, the badges were very easy this week, kinda balances out, doesn’t it?
a couple weeks ago a lady named robyn posted on here she was unable to finish her albums because of rainy day and freecell. she was just unable to understand those games. i wrote in and offered to do them for her. she responded to me and i have completed some she was unable to do. yesterday i was gifted allie the tiger by her. he is so beautiful, and so is robyn. i wouldn’t advise people to trust others with their passwords, but robyn and i have struck up a very nice friendship through here. she has a busy life and not a lot of time to complete pogo badges. i have over 1800 badges and have ranked out all the games i like. i really enjoy helping her and playing my favorite games again. thank you lura for providing a forum that robyn and i were able to meet. sorry for rambling, but wanted to share this.

Trish 11.18.09 at 1:25 pm

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!! I have got to be the DUMBEST player on Pogo…have gotten up to 5 coins and couldn’t match them. Is there some trick to matching them that has not been covered here? Wahwahwah…lol

19

Gwanny 11.18.09 at 1:44 pm

You not dumbest…..Trish…. I qualify in that too. I can not for the life of me get the coins. By the time they show up the time is up….What am I doing wrong. Maybe I am not fast enough. That’s ol` lady for you. Any tricks we should know about?

20

LauraD2QQ3 11.18.09 at 1:49 pm

I had both of my badges within an hour and Sweet Tooth, if you have not played much, the chocolate coins are on level 4 or 5 and that does take time… I hope you all well, and get the chocolate coins!!!!

Rick 11.18.09 at 2:08 pm

For Pogo Bowl: It seems that the turkey pins are tougher to get strikes for some reason. I’m usually a 200 bowler but with the turkey pins, I’m usually 20-40 pins less. The thing I have found is to start at the 1st or second dot from center (doesn’t matter what side), and then aim your ball across the lane, with the arrow right between the head pin and the 2 or 3 pin. Usually you will get 8 or 9 pins down and set up for an easy spare.

But if you notice there are multiple variations of the way the pins are set up. So you might find a groove and then for some reason it stops working. Check how the pins are set up.

For the sweet tooth, I got lucky one time-got 5 in a row of something else but then gave me the free one and it placed it right near the coins and I was able to get 4. You might get lucky, too. Just try to match other stuff and set yourself up for matching the coins.

22

midnightblue 11.18.09 at 2:08 pm

For sweet tooth, when you get a wild you can match it with two coins for a win. When you play just try to get the coins together, because you don’t have to win the game. Good Luck.

23

Shelly 11.18.09 at 2:09 pm

Gwanny #19.
Try to look a couple of moves ahead of yourself to try and stop the timer running out and make those moves fast! lol Remember you can move pieces diagonally, that helped me alot.

24

Kat F. 11.18.09 at 2:14 pm

Hi all,

What a relaxing Badge Week!! :) Got my badges done very quickly this morning. Sure liked that, lol

I have a couple tips for Sweet Tooth that helped me and a couple others in the room with me:

1. Clear out the top FIRST, so the coins can drop down.

2. Making matches of four candies seem to bring the chocolate coins…don’t know if it really made a difference technically or not–but it sure worked for us. I got my badge in less than twenty minutes. :)

3. Once the chocolate candies are down–RIGHT AWAY start working them closer together. Making matches that move them closer together is the only way you will get them to a match. But you don’t have to win the game for it to count. :)

Give those a try and BE SURE you are on Skill 4 or 5. THAT is the biggie.

Have a good day and good luck on your Badges. :)

(((Hugs to All)))

MomsBassetHound 11.18.09 at 2:16 pm

When you are doing Sweet Tooth keep clicking new game until you have at least 1 or 2 chocolate coins showing …at the beginning of the game. Then just try and make matches in that area so that you can get the chocolate coins close to each other….that way you can make a match when the 3rd coin appears. Hope this helps.

Good Luck everyone!!

Rick 11.18.09 at 2:18 pm

Just went to the badge page to vote in the poll and someone said that the sweet tooth badge took more than 6 hours. Coulda been a mistake, but considering the badges have only been active for 4 hours, seems kinda fishy. You don’t think people lie on those polls, do you? (sarcasm)

27

Karen 11.18.09 at 2:44 pm

FINALLY! Two fast badges!
Thanks for waking up, Pogo peeps.

28

Mike 11.18.09 at 2:59 pm

Happy Wednesday, all!

I for one enjoyed these badges, but wish they could have been longer. I know that last week was rough, but these were way too easy :)

They should have made it 4,000 pins on Bowling :)

Have a great week all!

29

EdC 11.18.09 at 3:04 pm

Happy badge day!

I must have read the challenge wrong for Sweet Tooth. I thought I had to make a chocolate match 7 times. I only could make a match once per game so it took 3 games which is fine w/ me after last week. My only tip is to make matches as quick as you can and eventually the coins start to appear (for me anyway).

The one thing I hate about this game is how sticky and slow it is making a match. It is not smooth at all like some other match 3 games. My mom was struggling to move her pieces :(

30

MrJan1960 11.18.09 at 3:06 pm

Both badges done and only used 34 minutes in all….
The pogo crew must have known how long last weeks challenges would take….. and then gave us this “gift” this week. LOL

31

BERTI 11.18.09 at 3:15 pm

HEY THANKS FOR THE TIPS–I GOT MY SWEET TOOTH BADGE IN NO TIME—JUST REMEMBER DONT WORRY ABOUT WINNING THE GAME JUST GET MATCHES AROUND THE COIN SO MORE COINS COME DOWN–THXS

32

Madonna 11.18.09 at 3:50 pm

Two reasonable challenges this week, which is no surprise. Pogo tends to do that whenever they go overboard the previous week, which tells me they knew the whole time the Tri-Pukes badge had trouble written all over it. Maybe they didnt realize it would be AS BAD as it was, but they knew itd be a headache.

I do wish the Sweet Tooth one had been a little more clearly explained by Pogo themselves. I honestly had no idea what a chocolate coin was, or that ST had more than three levels on it, until I came to BH and read this post and its comments this morning. Thank you, everyone.

No surprise we got a bowling challenge (complete with the turkey pins) around this time of year. SOP. But, I know this time I was greatly relieved to see a skill-based bowling challenge, as opposed to the Please Pogo Gods, give me a gold pin! challenge the last time.

Could it have been a bit longer, Mike? Sure. I dont know about 4,000, but 1,000 wouldve been reasonable (10 games or so if you know what youre doing). But, that wasnt going to happen after last week. Pogo has never followed up an infuriating marathon challenge with another the next week, and after all the anger from last week, they werent going to start now.

Pogo, after all, enjoys the kiss-kiss, slap-slap game. Last week, we got slapped (twice, at least, if you include the solution to the Tri-Pukes challenge). So had to know we were about to get kissed this week.

Pogo Bowl – for those who have trouble with the Turkey pins, consider swimming over to UK Pogo and do the challenge there. They dont have Turkey pins.

BTW I am not the Robyn mentioned above but what a NICE thing she did for Carol. That is what friendship is about.

34

jan 11.18.09 at 5:09 pm

If the turkey bowling pins are, shall we say, visually challenging and changing your game, I believe it is possible to go in through the UK side and bowl with regular pins. Personally, the turkey pins creep me out just a bit, but the badge was fast so I persevered.

In the lovely spirit of Carol’s post, I would be happy to help with anyone having sweet tooth problems. Pogo mail Nashira792.

I have met some lovely people through this site and we have all helped each other out. Today I was pleasantly surprised that someone contacted me about gifting me for something I had helped her with a few months ago. That this person thought of me was gift enough. I was so touched by the thought.

Lura, these type of experiences are what makes this site so special. So, again, thank you for keeping things going and putting up with all of us,

35

Sheljin 11.18.09 at 5:13 pm

Carol #16 – What a sweet story, of you and Robyn. Thank you for sharing it.

Rick #21 – This may be my doofus moment, but what do you mean that we will see that the pins set up differently in bowling? I thought bowling was bowling. lol

I haven’t started the badges yet….I will need to do some Sweet Tooth first before I could offer any tips, have to refresh this tired memory of mine. lol Also, for bowling, it really should be a pretty fun one, I think, even for those who don’t really care for it. Since you don’t need strikes, or spares, or specific pins, you just got to knock ‘em down. My suggestion would be to play around with the game this time – maybe you will find the right way to roll the ball for you and end up enjoying it. I would agree with going to the fast rooms just to save time. And, also, you can switch to UK side if you don’t like little turkey pins. I am not sure I throw my ball like anyone else lol, but I do try to hit it between the head pin and the pin next to it.

Good luck everyone.

~Shel

Christy 11.18.09 at 5:26 pm

OK, Since I weighed in so much last week on the challenges, going to make a comment on this ones too.

Pogo is obviously a place of extremes. Last weeks some of us unlucky people couldn’t get in 20+ hours. This weeks both combined can take under an hour? Give me a break. I did make a final post to yesterdays which did mention that on the luck vs skill argument to Tri-Peaks, if you were playing over level 5, you probably did have a little more skill to the game. (I am only rank 4 in that, so all my cards were face down, however I did realize, late, that many were playing with cards face up. That would allow for planning and counting cards, thus make the game at least slightly more “skilled.” Still a lot of luck though, and wilds were all luck.)

Sweet Tooth is a game that does require a bit of skill. Gold coins however, do occasionally fall into place by luck. So if your skilled or very lucky, you can probably complete that in about 15 minutes. Took me a bit longer, as I’m not greatly skilled at it, and we’ve already figured out that I’m not lucky. But still less than an hour.

Pogo bowl, again, if your skilled at that kind of thing, you can get that pretty quick. Even if your not overly skilled, shouldn’t take overly long.

For those that said those of us that didn’t like a challenge, yeah, I definitely think this weeks could, and should have been a bit more challenging. I don’t want to play a marathon of solitaire, but yes, I do want to be challenged. I’d probably feel that both badges combined taking about 8 hours in a week would be reasonable for weeklies. For marathon badges, keep those in reserve for mix and match for people who enjoy the game and have the time.

37

nephthys 11.18.09 at 5:41 pm

I have noticed that I have been scoring less with the turkey pins. I thought I was just having a bad day till I read the comments here! Think I will go to the UK site to finish it, lol.

I used to be a horrible pogo bowler, but then I went on youtube and looked up video’s of people showing how to get strikes and… wa-la! I can now bowl games over 200 points on a regular basis :) I suggest people visit youtube for bowling tips.

38

Pat 11.18.09 at 5:54 pm

Lol, have to laugh about the comments that pogo gave us an easy week to make up for a bad week. These badges were set a long time ago, if you look at upcoming challenges page. Just like they dont alter the gameplay, they also dont alter badges to cut us a break. Admit they were easy and was appreciative of that. Another tip i have for sweet tooth is if i had a coin in one column, would try to make matches in columns left and right of it vertically, so a coin would drop down. That seems to help as well. And like mentioned, be leery of power ups that can zap your coin and try to move them to another column or row. GL, the coins take awhile to learn, but after doing the MnM one with 51 coins, I think I got the hang of it. Back to work on rank progress badges. Enjoy the easy week all.

39

kathe. 11.18.09 at 6:12 pm

What a difference from last week to this week! Since it took me until Sunday to finish Tri-Peaks, I’m going to brag about earning both of this week’s badges in about an hour. I’m a Sweet Tooth junkie (I’ve ranked out twice), but today I was especially lucky and got seven coins in one game! Bowling went fast, too! I only wish I could really bowl as well as I can Pogo bowl!

40

kathe. 11.18.09 at 6:19 pm

P.S. I love the turkey pins, and I didn’t notice any difference in my scores with the turkey pins.

41

Christy 11.18.09 at 6:49 pm

Pat, yes they are set way ahead. But they did know that last one was going to be a bear and knew this one would be much easier after that.

42

Evelyn 11.18.09 at 6:53 pm

It didn’t take me long to do Sweet Tooth… I ranked out long ago on level 4 or 5 – I forget which. I enjoyed the game. However, BOWLING… uck. Thanks for the tip about the speedy rooms AND the screen shots in the tips section. If it weren’t for the tips and screen shots last week, I wouldn’t have been able to do the Mini Golf. With that bit of help I was able to complete my badge with minimal frustration… LOL GOOD LUCk every one!

43

Patti 11.18.09 at 7:31 pm

The quickest way to get the coins is to select “new game” until you have at least 2 coins when you start. I got my badge in less than 30 minutes. (I did the mix & match badge for this that required 51 gold coins so this badge was a breeze in comparison!) Good luck!

44

nephthys 11.18.09 at 8:00 pm

Christy: In Tri Peaks one of the items you get in a chest can be a FUD (face-up deal) You can earn it on any rank and it is only for one deal, wether you win it or not.

Back to the challenges at hand though! My mother was having a hard time with Sweet Tooth until I giggled and told her she was playing on the wrong skill level! I found as soon as one coin drops, just keep completing matches over that coin so the next ones fall in the same spot… its easier then having tree coins across the board and trying to move them together.

45

jaredph 11.18.09 at 9:05 pm

It looks like pogo used up all of the hard challenges last week hehe ;)

Pogo bowl: This one is very easy and only takes 4-5 games (which should be 50 minutes at the most.) This badge goes faster if you are in a fast room and a club members only room.

Sweet tooth: This one takes a little skill and a little patience. Use the power-ups and the hint button as often as you can, and try to make matches in the same column (or groups of columns) as the coins. Eventually, they do fall into place. Keep in mind you can swap tiles diagonally, which can help you a lot! I did this one in about 10-15 minutes.

Good luck everyone!

Robyn 11.18.09 at 9:39 pm

Hello Friends, its Robyn (of Carol Robyn Co-po-gos) What Carol said is all true, and this is working well for us both. Most importanly, a new friendship is growing. I had a good gut feeling about Carol that fortunately, turned out to be correct and as Carol says, we do not recommend this for everone, but in our case – we are really happy. I was so sick of those straggler games staring me in the face. Carol not only does them…she enjoys doing them! We keep in touch frequently and I always like to hear from her. I am truly lucky to find a COPOGO, and now Pogo makes it easy to give something back with the gifting program. Thanks Pogo…and thank YOU Carol!

47

alaina 11.18.09 at 10:01 pm

i got my sweet tooth in 10mins pogo in 1hr easy as pie this week unlike last week lol gl all pogo players

48

Ell 11.18.09 at 11:01 pm

Hi all Nice easy challenges this week but I did find level 5 on sweet tooth easier than level 4.

49

Vics 11.18.09 at 11:15 pm

Got my badges, very quick compared to last weeks. Hope all have a Great Week and Happy Gaming. Lura thank you such a wonderful site. It’s the only one I use.

50

walla99362 11.19.09 at 2:01 am

I am not real good at sweet tooth but found by using the power ups the gold coins showed up and in time i was able to get badge in less than one hour

51

Cande 11.19.09 at 9:07 am

This weeks badges were way too easy!! The chocolate coins on Sweet Tooth started appearing as I was close to finishing the game, and it only took 3 games to get them. The the bowling one was a matter of 4 games I believe. I thought the point of the badges were that they were supposed to be a challenge. I enjoyed the Tri Peaks badge last week. I was getting the normal 1 to 2 Wilds each round, it just took time to win the hands if you didn’t get them the first time. Unfortunately I was hearing in all the rooms that people weren’t getting any Wilds at all game to game, so I can understand the frustration there. Good luck to everyone this week.

52

wendy 11.19.09 at 9:54 am

make sure u are on skill level 4 or 5 will take about 4-6 games to get the coins together. Good luck everyone

53

Kandy 11.19.09 at 12:48 pm

the badges were easy this week I got them done 2 fold in one day I did my friends too all in ONE DAY so yeah they were simple…and oh yeah I did my friends personal badge too LOLOL thanks to the info about ranking up in Blooop Thanks

54

jaredph 11.19.09 at 12:53 pm

Here’s another handy tip for sweet tooth: at the start of the game, if there are no coins on the board, then click “new game” until at least one coin appears. This should make it a little quicker. :)

55

trenaok 11.19.09 at 4:09 pm

Finished the challenges in record time for all 3 of my accts.
The only thing easier would be to sign into pogo and automatically
be given the badge.

since next week is a holiday week, i hope the challenges will be as easy..

56

Lura 11.19.09 at 4:11 pm

trenaok: you can check the upcoming challenges here:

http://www.badgehungry.com/upcoming-pogo-badges/

There’s a permanent link on the sidebar to that page, which I update almost every week with the new challenges that are a month or so out. I think they’ll be pretty speedy, but probably not as speedy as this week’s!

57

Cyrabi 11.19.09 at 6:23 pm

Wow, easy challenges, both badges already done. Should I post some tips? The ones I’m thinking of have already been posted. Aw heck what’s the harm? For Sweet Tooth play in Caramel Rooms on skill level 4 or 5 and keep hitting New Game until you see some chocolate coins.
For Pogo Bowl aim and throw. Knock those little gobblers down! ;)

58

Ann 11.19.09 at 7:46 pm

The challenges this week were so easy that I finished mine and my daughter’s in about 4 hours. At least they were easier than last week’s but come on Pogo, more of a challenge. I actually feel cheated that I finished them so quickly, lol

59

Mia 11.19.09 at 9:12 pm

Thank you all for the tips about sweet tooth.. They really helped.. I haven’t played ST in years so my first try at it I was thinking boy this is going to take me awhile.. But then I came on here and tried the tips out and manged to get the badge in under 5 mins.. Hitting new game until you get a coin or 2 is what worked best for me.. Haven’t started pogo bowl yet but I know that one won’t be long either..

I agree with Cande.. I enjoy the badges that are longer and more challenging.. That’s what makes them a weekly challenge.. For me anyways.. Yes I was happy to finally get the Tri peaks badge.. But I prefer a longer challenging badge then one that is short and fast.. But I guess that is what personal and M&M’s are for.. Something for everybody.. All in all I’m happy to have got my badges.. I feel bad to those who worked towards Tri peaks and did not get to complete it.. Maybe pogo could bring it back for one more week for those that didn’t not finish.. But I don’t see that happening..

I still have a Tri Peaks M&M badge to complete.. Reach the 3x mark 22 times in a week.. It says it is a expert badge and I am no expert but I have reached the 3x multiplier before.. Seems like now I activated this badge I can’t seem to get up to the 3x.. I know everyone is probably sick of Tri Peaks already but did anyone else complete this Mix n Match?? If so any tips would be greatly appreciated.. I’m sure there is going to be another pain in the a** badge coming soon that we will all be talking about.. Wonder whats next.. Anyways.. Happy Playing and Happy Holidays!!

P.S Thanks Lura for the link to upcoming challenges!!

60

Lura 11.19.09 at 9:25 pm

Mia: your question about the Tri-Peaks M&M is probably best reserved for a weekend open thread. (You have a better chance of getting your question answered there — more traffic, more people willing to help there, less people just looking for tips on this week’s challenges.) Please come back tomorrow for the next one and re-post if you still need help. Thanks. :)

61

Lisa 11.20.09 at 9:56 am

LOVE THIS THIS…EASY BADGES!

62

Jan 11.20.09 at 10:52 am

There are three distinct set ups in the bowling pins.
That is why you won’t get strikes every time even though you place the ball and aim the same.
Possibly we can get screen shots like Lura suggested.
When the scoreboard comes up look for “Strike It Rich” at the bottom…line your cursor up under the “t” in strike and below the scoreboard. That would be 2 lines to the left of the center mark when the pins show again.

HELP!!!
A little while ago someone posted a link for tips for Pogobowl. I used it and my bowling on Pogobowl improved a lot. Now a new friend would like to use the link and I forgot it. If anyone can remember that link, please post it here or e-mail it to me. Thanks
