Happy Weekend Everyone!
This has been a ridiculously busy week for Pogo, it seems like every time I blinked they were adding something new to the site! (Battleship, forums, Facebook, oh my!) There were a ton of new posts added this week, so if you haven’t been keeping up with the site, make sure to scroll all the way down the page and check out previous entries for anything you may have missed. As usual there are some lively and fantastic discussions going on down there.
Mike wrote in this morning to ask if I knew of a policy for Pogo adding new ranks and badges to pre-existing games. After all, it’d be a great way to get players back into playing some of the great older games that Pogo built its reputation on (and it seems to have worked for Canasta, Tri-Peaks Solitaire, and that got more ranks and badges before). At this point, I’d assume Pogo is really focused on their Hasbro partnership and producing new games, but there’s always a possibility they’d revisit an older game with new badges and ranks.
What current Pogo games would you like to see have more ranks and badges?

I’d like more badges added to Penguin Blocks – I know I’m weird, but the dishes in that game are very creative and fun for us foodies. I’d like to have badges for each rank/dish like Word Search has the 50 states.

Gecko: shhh don’t mention the S-word! But yes, I know they’re still working. As I feel like I’m always saying: it’s just another case of Pogo’s customer support being wrong, wrong, wrong.
Also, we were talking about gems recently and I wanted to add that I found the following (and by golly, ya learn something new every day). I honestly thought all games had the potential for gem-jackpots. Good to know, I guess.

It does seem kind of odd that Poppit still only has 50 ranks, considering that it was their original game. I haven’t ranked out, yet – but I am, starting to get pretty close.
I’d like to ranks for Greenback Bayou, as well as some of those slots that don’t yet have them.
If they ever added ranks for Greenback Bayou, how do you suppose they would determine rank process? I would guess that they’d go by how many fireflies you jump, except that they already have a badge for that – so, perhaps, they’d just go by how many flies total you jump.

I wish they would add more ranks to LOTTSO. I have been ranked out for over three years.
I feel that POGO should concentrate more on the games they have instead of always adding new games. Also, I would like them to fix the Mix and Match badges: when you click on a badge to activiate to see how many tokens you will get it you activate it and play it again it comes up with an error message.

I personally would like to see more ranks added to Hog Heaven Slots. I seemed to breeze through those 50 rather quickly.
At one point, I thought Pogo was going to redesign all the “old” games and add ranks and badges to them. By “old” games, I mean the ones where your player looks like a black stick with a yellow smiley face, such as Hearts, Euchre, Cribbage, etc. and also the older slots games, Backgammon, etc. Apparently that is no longer the plan.
I think I am in the minority on this, but I’d like to see ranks and badges for Dice Derby. I would play that (and a lot of other games) a whole lot more if they had ranks.

I think they should spend some time trying to add some ranks to some of the established games instead of coming out with new games every turn of the calendar. I know there are people who are ranked out of so many of the games that want new games. But maybe getting new ranks will bring them back to playing the older games.
Haven’t been to the forum yet. Not sure I want to . There are so many things to do on POGO already. I have a life and don’t want POGO to be on my tombstone.
I tried Battleship. It’s OK. Just not my cup of tea. (I did win my first and only game. ) Might be one of those “play if I’m bored” type of games. (or when a challenge includes it.)

I understand why don’t let you play Bingo against robots, but I think they should add robots to Backgammon – as well as any other games where you directly play against someone (as opposed to synchronized game play – such as Bingo, Lottso, Golf Solitaire, etc).
I also agree with more badges for Hog Heaven Slots and Keno Pop, since I also ranked out of both.
New games are nice and all, but it would be nice to see updates to older games.

As someone who had ranked out in over 40 games, it makes me mad when they add more ranks to most of them. By the time you finish the ranks who wants to play it again except occasionally, and except those few fave games.
They should revamp older games…. they need a facelift, ranks and badges and forget adding ranks to those already having them. Euchre, backgammon, cribbage, dice derby, showbiz slots etc …. all would benefit from a redo.

Just a little hint about entering the daily million token drawing. If you add the ten games that you need to play to enter to your FAVORITES list it will save you time going to them . Rather than having to scroll down to each one on the big list on your home page. GOOD LUCK ALL!!!!

I agree with many of the previous posters who advocate for badges for some of the older games. If you can earn a rank badge in Spades, why not Hearts or Euchure or even Cribbage? And, why not add in those other slot games?
It seems to me it would be fairly easy for Pogo to also look at their statistics (and surely they keep them) on most popular/most ranked out games and build a priority list to add more ranks/badges to those games.
Finally, I’ve been a Club Pogo member for just about a year and the only game I’ve ranked out in is Beaker Creatures so I’d have to give a vote for that one, too!

I guess I am greedier than most, because looking at my list, I seem to WANT IT ALL…lol.
I would love to see them create ranks for Euchre, Vaults of Atlantis, Hearts Swashbucks, Backgammon & Dice Derby (sorry I just can’t jump *giggles* on that Greenback Bayou bandwagon).
There are lots of games that I have finished that I hope to never have to play ever ever ever again, but I still have quite a few that I miss & occasionally play & new ranks would be awesome. Turbo 21, World Class Solitaire, Rainy Day Spider, Payday Freecell, Word Whomp, Stellar Sweeper, Mahjong Safari, Word Craft & in the deluxe games, Pictureka! Museum Mayhem.
It’s really good to read all the comments in here from the happy players of Mini Golf & Battleship. Unfortunately, both these games leave me cold, as have most of the latest releases have. They have all been graphically gorgeous, but just not as fun to me as the old games. Glad you all are enjoying them <—– sorry got a bit lost there…hehehe

I have a thought on that, now that I have had time to think on it…..Do you think it has something to do with the UK Site? I have only done Some of those….others have probably done all, and still others have probably done none..

Thanks lura for all that you do to keep us pogo enthusiasts posted on all the new and upcoming news on pogo. I would like to see them add more ranks to hog heaven slots. I too would like the to see pogo revamp some of their classics such as hearts, cribbage, euchre, dice derby etc… with ranks and badges. I was wondering if you knew if pogo has this in mind and is in the process of upgrading some of their older games. Hope you all have a great weekend.

I would love to see more ranks added to Battle Phlinx. I ranked out in that game a long time ago now but still play a few games everyday just for fun. Though I am considering re-setting my stats just so I have something to work towards again.
I am really hoping that more ranks don’t get added to Trivial Pursuit. I like many others am so close to ranking out but if I am honest I can’t stand the game!
Even though I have the answers and it only takes a few minutes to complete on each site every couple of days I really don’t like it…lol

I really wish pogo would go back and work and make corrections on the old games. Euchre looks really old and needs ranks and need new graphics. Hearts needs jackpot spins in it. And im getting real tired of 88 token spins in pogo, why such an odd number? I wish they would go dump the games no one really likes anymore and work on the rest.

Last week, I had asked about if people would continue playing Trivial Pursuit – after they ranked out. I’m all caught up the US side, and I’m now over halfway done on the UK side – and I am pretty close to ranking out. Even though it’s not exactly my favourite game on Pogo, I wouldn’t mind seeing more ranks – even though the high token payout is enough to motivate one to play two games a day.
I definitely don’t want to see more ranks added to Word Search Daily, even though it’d nice to see them bring back games that are over six months old. I don’t know if that’s even possible, but…
I guess I’m in the minority with Greenback Bayou, though. I would like to see ranks added for Swashbucks, though. That game appears to have only ever had one badge, which was actually the first personal challenge badge that I completed – before I realized that you were limited to one personal badge a week, with the occasional exception of where they allow you to do three.

hi everyone,i would like to see more ranks in hog heaven,ewb.i have a questionhow is that people get the monthly badge in crossword cove and some dont like me,i went to help and i was told to do screenshot or something which i have no idea how to do,whats the sence of doing these if you dont get the badge,also when i go in the new mini golf game i get confused about what to pick i usually pick warm up ,nothing happens so then i pick front 9 is this right,i read instructions but it doesnt tell you anything that i understand,i try to keep up with the new games as badges will be coming out can any1 help me here.i read this site all the time trying to pick up hints and so which have been very helpful,love this site thanks lura for a great job plus the people here are so nice sorry this is long but need to know ty

Anyways to answer this weeks question I *would* have said tri peaks but since it took me forever to finish that game I would have to say Aces Up. I am probably alone in my pick as the game is pretty confusing at first but I became addicted to it and find it relaxing. Also Casino Island Blackjack would be another good one…. They stopped at rank 51. Why 51? How random!

Don’t know if anyone remembers the game Word Riot, would love to see that brought back. I know they have a Word Riot Deluxe game you have to purhcase, but it would be nice to see that game brought back along w/ ranks and badges.

On the subject of crossword cove and why people would be on different ranks. If you start that game today, you can only go back 3 months to the 24th of July. So depending on how long it took you to go back the 3 months, or when you started the game, it would put people in different ranks.
The game I have wanted more ranks is Hog Heaven.

I have mixed feelings about games having more ranks. Games that I have ranked out in would be put on my “To Do” list again. Yet, I would not mind having more ranks added to World Class Solitaire b/c that game convinced me to join Club Pogo.
Lura, do you know if there are any plans to update the “prizes” page? It is a mess and it would be nice to have all my prizes in a chronological order.

For me, it’s more of a list of what games to NOT add more ranks and badges to. Trivial Pursuit is right up there, along with Tri-Peaks Solitaire and Battle Phlinx. It was some serious work to rank out in those games, and TP is just ughtastic. I can hardly wait for the next few weeks to go by to be done with that one. Everything else, I’m good with having more ranks and badges added. … Except for maybe Greenback Bayou. I might have to take a gun to a server if they do that! (okay, not really, but the idea of chips and diodes and electronic thingies and plastic flying into the air makes me smile.)
I’m looking forward to a weekend spent working on my latest cross-stitch project, going to my grandma’s 90th birthday party, and playing a friendly game of battle ship with my best friend. We love the idea given to line our ships up at the bottom and then aim for the top.

ol, I may be the only one who wants NO ranks added till I catch up and rank out in the ones we have. The first game I ranked out in was QWERTY and I was so proud. Three weeks later, they added new ranks and I am finally close to ranking out in there again. I think I hesitate cuz if I finish it, for sure they will add more ranks…

APZ: truthfully, it’s going to be a while before I do any more giveaways. Things in my life are going to be busy from now until well into next year, so it’s not going to be a good idea for me to take on the added task of having to deal with the influx that a giveaway brings (see I’m already losing comments in the mix, like yours last week, without a giveaway). Also, the outright begging for free codes and general not-reading-directions that happens every time I do a giveaway makes my stomach turn. It’s just ridiculous sometimes what goes on behind the scenes here.
And no, I haven’t mentioned my username for Pogo. I don’t give it out for a multitude of reasons and as you probably saw if you have a badge tracker account, I don’t recommend anyone else give theirs out either. It’s ultimately up to everyone individually and I know I always err on the side of super extreme caution, but I can honestly say that after last week’s Facebook privacy disaster, I’m glad I don’t. Anyway, Pogo is where I go to relax and play and now that this site has begun to take up so much of my time, I need that “away” place to go to just play by myself — anonymously — once in a while.

Happy Friday All! Adding ranks….grrrrr!!! I get so happy when I finish a game. A sense of accomplisment. Then when pogo adds ranks, I feel so depressed cuz I dont want to go back to that game anymore except for challenges! So I hate when they add ranks to any game lol Instead of working on adding more ranks, I would prefer them to work on adding more cheap token stuff to the mini mall! There is NOT ONE game I would like ranks added to lol

While I have my favorites Id like to see ranks added to, I think to be fair Pogo needs to add ranks to all the games. There are people who have been members for a long time and have ranked out. Why cant Pogo show a little love to everyone??? I agree with others here that they need to take care of the games and gamers they already have.

For Lady Catlaraine # 37 – The Hearts Studmuffin badge is a Mix Match badge that was released a long time ago. I dont know if its still available or not. Since I already have the badge I cant access that information.
For Lorraine # 39 – All I can tell you about Quick Quack is to just concentrate on making long groups and rainbow combinations. If you get to choose from the top row of gifts you will always get a JP spin. If you get the middle row you still have a good chance of getting a JP spin. Its only the bottom row where its a 1 in 3 chance. If you run out of matches and have a power up – 2 ducks or a wild – use them – if the 2 ducks doesnt give you a match then undo it. Good Luck with the badge. Im sure that more tips will be posted when the challenge is live.

Hey Lura, I jst posted, but then thought of something from last weeks Lottso badge week. Somebody happened to mention that she was only at rank 30 something and wanted desperately to rank out. I stepped in and told her I had ranked out, but it took YEARS. Well…she said I was lucky and I said NO…I ENJOY the games I play. If you look to ranking out as your main objective…its gonna be like climbing Mt. Everest!!! If you just play games for the fun of it, ranking out is an obvious conclusion….if not its jst another day at the office and who needs that huh? lol. HAG1 ALL!!!

I have a question for any long-time pogo members who come here. Does Pogo usually do anything special for the Christmas holidays? Without a doubt, theyd have Christmas-themed Mini items – but what about in the way of games? I suppose theres no Christmas equivalent to Spooky Slots – which, by the way, I think it would be nice to have. Do they usually design some of the games for the holidays?
On a side note, I think it will take me a great long time to rank out of Tri-Peaks Solitaire. So, definitely no more ranks for that game.
Also, Im kind of curious as to why Greenback Bayou is such an unpopular game. I mean, its not really my favourite game – but I do enjoy playing it, from time to time.

Hey Lura, that’s totally understandable and I do apologize. I did not mean to sound like I was asking for free codes. I saw previously you were handing out free codes during your posts, and thought it would be a cool suggestion if you added a twist to it. I didn’t mean to imply that I was asking for free codes to give me. (I already have a couple years of free coupons from the Subway Scrabble game and TYVM for those)
And yes, I was mad at the whole FB incorporation privacy issue but glad that’s finally fixed now. I’ve just recently started coming to this site at a regular basis and I do agree it does take quite a bit of your time and THANKS so much for what you do Lura!
PS. For those who love Battleship, it does take a while to rank up lol From 10-11 3000+ shots..so you can only imagine how many more shot it would take to rank out.

Serena, as for the holiday theme for Christmas, pogo does decorate the rooms in several games, bowling becomes turkey pins at thanksgiving and elve pins at Christmas, jigsaw treaure hunter added snow and holiday puzzles, and the mini mall went over the top..can’t think what else…

I’m currently ranked out in Qwerty, Scrabble, Wonderland Memories, Hog Heaven, Keno Pop, Jungle Gin, Monopoly Slots (and nearly Boggle Bash) so I guess I’d vote for any and all of those having more ranks. It would be nice to get some kind of special recognition – other than a badge – when you do rank out in a game. Mine are listed in my profile which I thought was a good idea when I saw it in someone else’s profile I was visiting. Maybe have them show up in a different color on your home page so if they go back to black, you know more ranks were added.
Having a deprived childhood (not…), I never played Battleship up until a couple of days ago. To my surprise, not only do I like the game, it turns out I’m fairly good at it. So far, I’ve only played with robots, but I’m doing pretty good so far (or at least I think I am).
Much to my surprise, got the Creature Feature badge in MGM on the second round but have yet to master the Flora and Fauna… To the earlier comment (Laura #35), you have to select full course for it to count.
Considering the uproar the last badge in Quackers caused (by Pogo’s own admission in letters to the editor this week), why couldn’t they have counted tokens instead of jackpot spins??? Or hit 4000 yellow duckies or practically anything else? I think THEY’RE quacking up….
I’ll be looking for helpful hints for Rainy Day Spider. It’s one of those games I’ve never been able to figure out. So if the tips are really good, I’ll be able to clear out the backlog of RDS badges I have, like I was able to do with the chess badges having completed the last one this week. (thank you for the chess moves…. and everything you do, Lura!)
P.S. “ran into” MomsBassetHound in Boggle this week and said hello and that I’d seen her in BH. Got a kick out of that. (that’ll tell you what I quiet life I lead when something like that warrants a mention —LOL)

If I could pick one game for additional ranks it would be Word Whomp! I don’t see that happening as they already have 2 spin-offs of that game (whackdown and underground).
Probably wouldn’t be a bad idea for pogo to revisit some of their deluxe games either.

I would like to see ranks and badges added in:hog heaven,monopoly here and now,pop it,mahjong safari,bloop,dice city roller,beaker creatures,keno pop,rainy day,and a few others i forgot can’t remeber lol.
I like battleship never played before until pogo.I ever really had games like that growing up.anyone that wants to get the missed shots in battleship and rank a little faster.i double browse with a free account I send a 5 day pass to.and I hit all the little ships and leave the big one forgot what it called.and then i fill the grid,leave the green spots untill the rest of the grid is filled.then i start to fill the greens,then cover the last ship.and you get 83 misses and a total of 100 shots i believe.i’m almost to rank 11 and i have over 5,000 missed shots.I would have more but it didn’t dawn on me to do it this way until rank 5 duh! lol
anyways I’m hoping to have some good news soon but a little too early.me and my fiance are hoping to have a baby,but a little soon to tell right now should know in a week.so I’m excited been wanting a family for a long time.

I would love to see more ranks in Pogo Bowl, Hog Heaven, Spooky Slots, and Boggle Bash.
If there were more ranks in Boggle Bash I wouldn’t feel like the panic flip badge was taking so long. I ranked out in Boggle Bash with less than 1,000 panic flips….and need 2,000 for that badge. It was so easy to play when I was doing the ranks, now I’ve almost lost interest in it.

hi every 1!!! i’d love to see pogo add ranks to all the games that don’t have any as yet.. then if they can add more ranks to most games that would be great also. as for the new games, i like them all for the most part. i do understand the hasbro games that they need to add for the contract or whatever.. they have not remade a game and added ransk to any older games since pogo started doing that with hasbro.. some that need an upgrade with ranks and badges i’d like to see are,,, si-fi slots, vaults the show biz slots games loast temple has ranks but i’d love the other video poker games get ranks with badges as well.. i am sure there are others i am missing but those are some much needed games that not many people play that would do very well with an upgrade///ranks and badges.. thank you for listening. or reading at any rate… LOL

Ok i have a question. I saw someone mention Fortune bingo. I have tried forever to rank at that game (rank 4 as of now) for the pretty badges that come with it. Does anyone else find it hard to rank up in that game or do the bingo gods just hate me?
Also I agree with the KenoPop suggestion. Its a boring game but mindless. Just what i need sometimes LOL. Give us more ranks pogo!

I would love to see ranks added to Hog Heaven. Also it would be cool if they made Tetris and Space Invaders. They were fun games.

Hope that they do add more badges to Trivial Pursuit – I am up to date with it (do UK at night and US in the morning) and find that we only have a couple of more weeks to go to Rank 50. Since you don’t automatically get new badges if you are ranked out, hope that they wise up that they need to give the faithful TPer’s more badges. Just my thoughts!! Even though I’ve virtually kept playing Pogo Addiction Solitaire straight for three months, I still have yet to rank out – even though I am currently in the 40s. The last twenty or so ranks seem to take a very long time to achieve. Eventually, I did get burnt out on the game – so I now rarely play it, unless it’s for a weekly challenge.
Also, who of you here play Thousand Island Solitaire? Has anyone ranked out of that game, yet – and, if so, was it before or after getting the 14K Gold Badge? I mean, 14,000 treasure chests seem like an insanely large number (you only get three per game). At least, they do count treasure chests that you picked up even in games that you haven’t won – but still…

Wow – Lots going on in Badge Hungry Land this weekend. Great job, as always, Lura. I’d probably pick games like Hog Heaven, Keno Pop, World Class and all of the card games, cribbage, etc., that don’t have ranks. I’m just not into all the Hasbo games (sorry Pogo) and never really was as a child. So these new ones just aren’t interesting me beyond trying them.
Is it just my imagination, or are there less spammers coming into the rooms wanting to us to visit their site for free gems and tokens? Hopefully with all this new stuff in pogoland, they have found a way to at least curtail a lot of that junk. Have a great weekend everyone.

I would like to see higher ranks in Trivial Pursuit, Bingo Luau and Hog Heaven Slots. I play for fun and really don’t care what rank I am in many of my less favored games. A little incentive to keep playing the games one has ranked out in might be to award more tokens per game, eg. tokens won x2, or even x5.

Ive currently ranked out 46 games and I HATE it when games Ive already ranked out in get new ranks added. This happened to me in Lottso!, Qwerty, Tri-Peaks Solitaire, Mahjong Garden and Wonderland Memories. I was finally able to rank out for the second time in Mahjong Garden and Wonderland Memories. Im still trying to work on Lottso!, Qwerty and Tri-Peaks Solitaire, AGAIN! I have all the games Im currently trying to rank out on my favorites list and I enjoy crossing it off as I rank out the game. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. The only time I want to go back to a game Ive already ranked out is for a badge. I wish Pogo would just work on making new games and stop adding new ranks to games already ranked out. Its getting a little old.

Now, for the opposite end, I am tired of jigsaw detective and wish they would stop the ranks. I get so bored with the selection, or lack thereof, of puzzles. And, as I have started a second account, I am overwhelmed at starting them all over again–okay, it was my choice to add a family account, so they can come and play with me…but, there needs to be an ending point..

As a paying club member I feel that every game pogo has to offer should have ranks and badges. My strategy would be to add ranks/badges to dice derby, greenback, cribbage, hearts, euchre and swashbucklers (I may have missed a couple). Then afer they have added ranks/badges to those games, then concentrate on adding existing ranks to the most popular games. Pogo should create a survey and top 3-5 games chosen should get more ranks/badges.
I don’t feel that it should be a problem revamping old games and creating new, I am sure Pogo has many developers and creators on staff to handle all that. And if not, the unemployment rate is like 8% (more maybe) in USA, Pogo could hire extra people to facilitate the work if need be. And with all these gem buyers and badge book buyers (including me) it’s not like they would lose any money.

I would like to see more ranks to Hog Heaven and Keno Pop and Casino Island. I really like those games and really don’t like not playing them a lot. I also think that EWB should get some more ranks added to the game, as I know that I am going to outrank the game in the next year. I would also like to see more ranks added to Dice City Roller and to Mahjong Safari. Even though I know of people who don’t like the game, I would like to see Greenback Bayou get some ranks, as well Cribbage and some of the older games like Hearts and Backgammon and Chess.
I realize that they (Pogo) are adding new games, I think it would behoove them to add ranks to some of the old favs that people played when they first joined the site. It also would be good PR.

So much to read this weekend on Badge Hungry! lol I have scanned thru these comments and it almost seems like there are two types of people – people who want to rank out in everything (and so often view it almost as a chore and can’t stand the idea of added ranks to anything lol) and those who love certain games and miss playing them. I’m in the latter category. I really have no interest in ranking out in all games, but I’m proud of the ones I *do* rank out in and, of those, I guess I wouldn’t mind more ranks in most of them. They are games I love and miss playing.
I absolutely LOVE Dice City Roller and hardly ever play it anymore since I ranked out. Ditto with Bowling – I still have a room I always go to and still see old friends there. Last is Keno Pop – just something about it made it better than most of the other mindless games and I find it a great chatting game – made some really nice friends in that game too, but nearly everyone moved on once they ranked out – including me. lol
I am rank 49 in Hogs Heaven, and I don’t mind the game, but always have to remind myself to go there. Being that close, I feel I should rank out. lol But while I like the game fine, I have no real interest in more ranks there.

Games I’d like more ranks in… I’d go with:
- Stellar Sweeper. One of my favorite games but I don’t play it much anymore because I’m playing other games for ranks and badges. How much do I like it? I ranked out about a month after the game was originally released.
- KenoPop. The original ranks were way too short save for the last few, and Pogo promised more ranks to shut up the myriad players requesting it, but never delivered.
- Most Slots games. Like KenoPop, they require very little attention and I like to play them to rack up more tokens while watching my TV shows. Monopoly Slots I don’t really care much for, but the rest are all good.
- Turbo 21. Another game I really like, because it’s simple and has a pretty high token payout if you’re good at it.
If more ranks were added I’d kind of prefer it if they made you start from the current top rank even if you’ve played a lot since reaching that; then there would be a reason to play them again for awhile. But of course I wouldn’t mind being handed pretty much free badges either. :)

I am ranked out in over 30 games and close in about 10 others. Some of them I have painstakingly ranked out in and I dont want to see new ranks in them.
I would love to see new ranks added to spades(rank 46) but play almost daily, Word riot Deluxe, Dice City Roller,Beaker Creatures, Kenopop, Addiction Solitaire, Dominoes and Super Dominoes (all ranked out).
I would love to see ranks and new graphics in Backgammon, Euchre, Hearts and Cribbage. I love these games and love to play them but only play them for badges right now. Checkers needs to be upgraded with ranks, graphics etc. I also hate that I am forced to jump even if I dont want to. My strategy isnt always to jump esp when u know u r going to be jumped with the move. I would also like to see bots added to backgammon so when ppl dont want to help with challenges u have the option of a non human partner or waiting endlessly at times for help on a challenge.
I made a goal of a badge a day in 2008 and to this date I am still doing a badge a day so almost 2 full yrs and a badge or more a day every single day. I also set a goal for the yr end which for me is Oct 25th. Yr 1 was 500 and I had 506, yr 2 was 1000 and it was 1021 and yr 3 which is tom I wanted 1400 and I am at 1431. Who knows what new goal I will set.
I also buy all the mix and match since they have started in Nov 06 and I buy all the albums put out as well. I currently am working on the completion of the 2006 album as I joined in Oct 06 and I have only 20 left to complete that yr. I have 2003, 2007, 2008 all completed and I have 09 up to date as well.
I really wish at least once a mth pogo would give us a pogo marathon of 3 challeneges to do. It takes forever to complete albums at 1 a wk.

I agree with Hearts Makeover and More ranks to GBB (greenback) Qwerty had an upgrade but Id go for more and also Boggle Bash but its too new. I like Pogo Addiction Solitaire so wouldnt mind that and maybe they could change it to how many games you win as opposed to gold cards because you didnt have to win to rank up (unlike some other games). If that makes it too hard, oh well but I like the challenge. Under no Circumstances do I want to see more ranks in Trivial Pursuit since Im almost ranked out after all this time, same thing with Word Search since I wont be ranked out there until 2011 if Im still on Pogo. The monthly Courses in Mini golf I would like to see that trend continue since I am ranked out and it gives me something new to do in that game. But the biggest game Id like to see new ranks in (can hear the groans now) is Aces UP. This is by far one of my favorites and once you get the hang of it is really not that hard to play (speaking for myself of course)

I am ranked out on every game except, of course, Battleship. Was waiting for that. But I dont yet have the badges for the ratings badges in pinochle. Dont think thats a fair one. That is not for what you do, it depends on your partner also. If you get someone that doesnt play good, you lose your ratings. Or, Pogo has a habit of dealing the good hands to the same team.
Also, all the games are in the gamebook album. I am almost done that, but everytime they add a premium deluxe game that you have to pay for, they put the badges in that album. I think they should have a separate album book for those games.

I have a question–someone brought up mahjong–I ranked out (450 ages plus), but others were at 1000 ages or higher, those who enjoyed and played alot. Now, if they were to add ranks such as up to 1000 ages, would these people get credit and badges for their accomplishment or have to earn the new ranks? I know is diff for HH, I just stay at rank 50.
Now as I opened to AOL, this a.m., one of the first eyecatchers on the home page was something like : Facebook, a simple status update can put you at risk–needless to say i didnt even want to read it after pogos stunt this week. Personally I wish games NEVER ended. It kind of makes me sad. There are several games I like that I really dont play anymore except for challenges. If I had to choose. I would say World Class (not sure WC will happen as they have done it before) Thousand Island and Trivial Pursuit (I only have 5 wedges left to complete the game, hit rank 49 this morning)
Someone mentioned Fortune Bingo YUCK Ive been a Pogo member since 2002 and I am still at rank 2 in that game LMAO

Hi all…sorry to bring up a Crossword Cove question as Im sure youve all had enough. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the saved puzzle quandry. When I complete a puzzle with no errors, thanks Lura!, it goes straight to jackpot spin. When I go to do a new puzzle, it thinks I have a saved puzzle. Why? I asked Pogo and heres there response. If anyone has a more logical answer, Im all ears. p.s. not sure I understand the secondly portion. You can save more than one puzzle at a time? Hmmm.

I think, before adding ranks to games that already have ranks (including Hog Heaven Slots, Keno Pop, and Spooky Slots), they should add ranks to the games that dont already have ranks. Id like to see ranks for the other slots games, and especially Vaults of Atlantis Slots.
Hm, does Jigsaw Detective technically have ranks? I know they give out badges for each case that you solve. I think they dont have official ranks for that game, because they like to discourage competition. The same goes for having a high score in that game.
I may or may not try to catch up with Mini Golf Madness. I find the games to be quite tough. Apparently, you have to make par or under for both halves, in order to successfully complete the course. Even if your total amounts to being par or under, it doesnt seem to count if you make over par for either half. I did get the badge for the Warm Up course, though.

I sure hope Pogo team is reading and taking notes seriously regarding our requests for more ranks/badges. I personally dont care for new games at this point. As it is, while I have ranked out on several games, (my goal is to rank out on all of them), it will take forever to do so. Adding more ranks to existing games…yes! Spades, Hog Heaven, etc. as so noted in most comments. It would be great if ranks/badges were given for Hearts, High Stake Pool and Carnival Black Jack.
QUESTION: Has anyone ranked out in Canasta? Tri-Peaks?

i agree with badges and ranks for games that dont already have them, hearts, spooky, etc. it does seems to feel like an accomplishment to rank out in a game, so i tend to frown when they add more…if i really enjoy a game, i play it regardless of whether ive ranked out or not. it does seem to be true however that those you made friends with while ranking a game tend to move on once its accomplished, although im sure there are exceptions…
janet, next weeks rainy day spider badge is halloween-themed: has a jack-o-lantern by a tree and octavia holding the flashlight to her face, lol. goal is clear 150 foundation stacks…there will also be a special edition spooky slots badge oct. 30-nov. 2: win 2000 tokens.
also someone asked about spooky counting towards your 12 badges for the super harvest badge…any badge seems to work: mix-n-match, challenge, etc.

After reading all these posts I must comment. Being a member for years im ranked out in all games. Last update on canasta i never got to play for the badges just given them! Mahjong garden im 1,050, How would pogo update ranks here?again the badge would just be given! Please think of members that have been playing for years. They want to do something with Hog heaven give jp away.

My goal is to be caught up with the UK side of Trivial Pursuit sometime next weeks. I have less than six months to do, so I should be able to get caught up in time to achieve Rank 50.
Fortune Bingo is my least favourite of the Bingo games. You have to actually win in order to rank up. Sure, you can play by yourself – but, sooner or later, someone is bound to join you. Also, you dont get ghost dabs on the numbers that have already been called – so, if you enter in the middle of a game, its kind of hard to catch up.
Ive been able to avoid the nasty stuff that goes on in Everyone Wins Bingo by entering one of the Temporary Members Rooms, and I find that I do enjoy the game. As for Bingo Luau, I prefer do like sharing – so, for that, Ill enter a sharing room. Sometimes, though, Ill enter a non-sharing room – and thats cool for me, too. I dont think its fair to push house rules on rooms that are not designed for the purpose.
As for Crossword Cove, Ive learned to ignore the prompts to complete saved puzzle – so they dont bug me that much. Whats more annoying, is if you finish a game – and, when you click end game, you dont get the jackpot and are shorted roughly 2000 tokens. You get a grey check mark, instead of a green one – so, by redoing that game, I guess you do get extra tokens on the progress. It still gets annoying, though – and Im sure I have them all right, because the whole puzzle is gold.
BTW, I wonder why they find it necessary to remove old puzzles from Crossword Coves and Word Search Daily. Will Trivial Pursuit be next?

Speaking of badges and ranks, battleships secret badge of 2500 battleships for badge, will take longer than any challenge pogo has had to date, Why, Because im within 100 of having 50,000 misses for a badge and am at rank 25 but not 600 games played yet. we will probably have to play at least 3000 games to get 2500 battleships only since some games end without sinking opponents battleship even when they get a reinforcments.
I do know a quickest way to get battleships only, but that will have to come after I rank out.

Cathy #83: there are some downloadable games that give you tokens, some give you badges and tokens. If you visit the Downloads section on Pogo and choose Pogo originals, there should be a description in the games that tells you if you get tokens and badges or just tokens (I would list them here but I don’t feel like it and I’d rather not list them and leave something out). Most of these such games are labelled ‘Deluxe’, though there are a few exceptions. You can also see the ranks and badges for the downloadables on the Game Ranks page here:

luxie13smom #126: I have lost count how many times Pogo’s customer service has been wrong. Not just wrong, but they have been way off base so many times I don’t really trust a lot of what they say. I just ignore the saved game notices like Serena does (#138).
Serena #138: Crossword Cove and Word Search Daily were not built to have long-standing archives back to the beginning. Trivial Pursuit was. I would find it odd if they suddenly stopped archiving. I guess it is kind of odd that the WSD and Crosswords only go back x number of months.
Rock #140: there are tips on the game ranks pages for each game people have submitted their hints and tips for — the link is above. One-stop shopping at its finest. As far as the ranks go, lighten up a little. I am sure they were not including the games that have not yet released enough daily puzzles to earn the maximum rank.
William #141: your support of Rock is endearing, and I can tell you’re coming from the same location, but please at least have the patience to let me approve his comment for the public to see before you go responding to it.
Okay and last, but not least: please remember when posting not to talk about autos. I’ve had to disapprove more than a handful of comments recently (and edit a post that slipped by, sorry) because they talk about programs that play games or collect tokens or do things on Pogo for you *automatically*. I have probably said this before, but I will say it again: Pogo claims they are against their TOS and use of them is a bannable offense, and in addition they claim they will withhold any prizes you might win. I do not care if you use these things or not and I have no proof either way that Pogo actually enforces this, but please just do not talk about them here.

I received a Pocket Pogo Yahtzee touch screen as a gift, I registered it & did receive 30 days credit to my account but what they failed to make ‘clear’ is the badges you earn, you submit a code to your Pocket site & your badge is unlocked in there, you do not get a badge displayed in your Album… bummer.

Im baaaaaack! More about games and ranks: I agree with everyone who has posted saying they should have ranks badges for all the games. Even though I have my few wish lists for extra ranks, I would gladly wait for them in favor of ranks badges in, say, cribbage, backgammon, hearts or roulette. (I do have to add I might need to sign a petition to NOT have ranks in Greenback – omg, what a mind-numbing game.)
(A slight digression: I also think every game should have at least one weekly badge. I used to play roulette ALOT many moons ago and I would really like to have one lousy weekly badge from the game among the millions they seem to have for, say, Freecell.)
I agree with having bots added to backgammon (only if it doesnt skew the game too much) – backgammon is the reason Im on pogo actually! Years ago, I was pining for a game, googled it and here I am. lol
I will say, though – be careful what you wish for when you wish for upgrades. Dominoes was one of my favorite games for years (played in a league) but the upgrade is horrible. They tried to fix a problem which really wasnt all that bad (IMO) and made it tons worse. Super Doms is really no better, again my opinion.
If they add ranks to ranked out games, I would love to have it calculate/include where I would be since ranking out. I think that would be pretty kewl, to have credit for all the playing Ive done since ranking out. And thanks Thomas – I thought I was the only one who remembered Pogo promising more keno pop ranks soon after releasing the game.
I love Thousand Island but it will take me forever to do the treasure chests badge. Im rank 20 and still am far from having all the items also. As I said in another weekend thread, Im still waiting for all the pogo items in Addiction, too, so thought it was just me. lol
I love Aces Up, but havent ranked out in it yet. That is one game I work very hard to keep my high win percentage rate – using the Undo, I usually can find some way to win the game. To answer other questions or comments, I am nowhere near to ranking out in TriPeaks, which may be way I still like the game! lol I agree with wanting there to be a way to highlight on your Profile which games you have ranked out on. On the other hand, it is intriguing to me the idea of not having a rank-out – just have the games be never-ending. Pogo might get a better idea of which games members really like rather than ones that are being played to rank out only.
I had a random question I wanted to ask in the middle of the week, which I said, Shel, hold this for weekend thread but of course, I cannot remember what it was. lol So, Im off to go think about that for awhile……..
Oh, William – 18 years?!?!?!?! Wowzer! I came late to the game, and ended up with 15 months. I was happy with that until I read 18 years. lol

Berti #144 – As far as I know, there is no way to tell if someone has you on their Friends list. Of course, the polite way of doing things is to ask before you add someone, or be asked. That isnt always the case, however. I will admit I have a ton of people on my Friends list who I have no desire to see and thats why they are on there – to avoid them.
I would gladly be willing to take those people off MY list if Pogo would do something to stop them being able to add me to THEIR lists.
While were talking about what Pogo could do rather than bringing out a ton of new games all the time, they could do something more about the stalking, etc. that happens on their game site. All the options they have offered us are really not options at all.
You can ban the person bothering you from seeing you by adding them to your blocked list. But as most of us know by now, anyone can easily make a new Pogo name at any time – there is no way of blocking every possible name your stalker has unless pogo steps in and does something more (like automatically banning names from the same user, or banning an ISP if the person has repeated stalking/harassment offenses).
Oh, you can also set your profile so that only people on your Friends list can see you. Sure, that works. Unless you happen to like making new friends, or having old friends be able to find you. So, this option is also about the VICTIM limiting their game experience to avoid the ABUSER. Really, again, not fair.
This is a really issue for me, sorry – off my soapbox now.

Its amazing how many ranks you all gathered.
I learned about this ranks when I got a free pass (two weeks).
I noticed then I already reached rank 50 in Bingo Luau! So it seems you rank too not being a clubmember, you just dont know it. I played Everyone wins Bingo, and reached rank 50 there too. I loved Fortune Bingo and – please dont laugh at me – Makeover Madness. But much too soon the 2 weeks were over. :-(
Now Im sincerely hoping for new FreePogoPasses. I need a Makeover sooo badly. :-)

Ive ranked out in a few games and close in a few more. Actually dont even know how many or which ones at the moment, because its just not that important to me, lol It isnt a big deal to me at all, yeah I know–GASP!!
I dont worry about it cause I dont need the pressure. I play to relax and enjoy whatever game it is Ive chosen, whether Ive already ranked out in it or not. Yes the badges are great! Do like that part and the tokens are GREAT too, lol But I just dont push myself to rank out in anything! If I rank out, I rank out, lol

Me, Ive been a member of Club P this time, since March of 06, with 654 Badges. Played long before that with a Free Account, then had a membership for awhile, took a break, then back to my membership. All in all, Ive been with Club P for about 5 years.

In my opinion, Pogo isnt going to add anymore Ranks to any games. They are too busy trying to make money off NEW GAMES AND NEW PROJECTS TO PRODUCE MORE REVENUE.
When I read the latest Headline about the Gifting, I broke out in a sweat!! lol All I could see was ANOTHER FB APP!! No way did I want to poked or hearted, or smiled at, much less have a snowball thrown at me!!! Sure was glad it wasnt the same thing!! WHEW!!
I think its a good idea (finally! something that doesnt affect my privacy!) and maybe Ill find someone I can send a gift to. Who knows, it just might be YOU!! :)

In 4 days I will celebrate my 5th anniversary of being a Club Pogo member. Think they will send me a gift??? LOL LOL
I will only rank out in a game if I really, really enjoy playing it, have managed to do that in 20 games to date. There are quite a few where I’ve played past rank 30 and then just couldn’t play them anymore. I find that if I’m working on a few at a time that I don’t get burnt out as fast. I find no fun in playing a game just to say that I finished it. There are so many that I enjoy playing that I would rather do that. I know that I’m probably in the minority with my opinion.
But I will play ANY game for a badge. I have managed to complete every weekly badge ever offered. It seemed like it took me forever to do the weekly challenges that were offered before I became a club member. I have completed every PBA released and only have 1 Mix & Match badge that I need to complete. I’m up to 1,674 badges.
I’m one of the those people that are home most of the time, and spend a lot of time on Pogo. I buy all the premium badges and albums, and the money I spend on them is less than what it would cost me to go to 1 movie a week. And I get a lot more enjoyment playing the games and earning the badges.

Mombassetthound–You musta joined about the same time i did, oct 2004, I finally caught up on all the pcs, have all the PBA, but, I refused to buy MxM badges for awhile, so I missed about 30 that retired..I too have maxed out several, but have more that are almost done. I kinda do a lateral move on many. If a challenge puts me at rank 26 in a game, i will complete it to a rank 30 badge, then leave it. If another challenge brings me close in another game, i will take it to badge rank.
Just checked, 1658 badges, dang its the mxm. I am right now doing rank 17 in harvest mania, as there is a badge at 19…then look for another I enjoy playing and take it closer…and try to coordinate with weekly challenges..we all have different techniques, but are badgehungry at heart.

I just realized the one kind of badge that don’t count towards your Super Badge: the in-game badges! Do you guys think it would be nice if those badges did count?
Well, I’m now down to 18 weeks to go for Trivial Pursuit – then I’ll be all caught up on both sides. I hope to be done before the month is over, which is about seven days away.
I think the one personal badge a week limit does inconvenience newer Club Pogo members. There are a number of reasons why one might not have joined until recently, including not having been old enough to sign up until recently.
Anyway, I guess adding ranks to slots that don’t already have them is a popular request here – but not so much with adding ranks to Greenback Bayou. Guess I’m in the minority on that one.

Pogo/EA Sports promised additional ranks to KenoPop ages ago,, fans of the game are still waiting and hoping ranks will be added because it is a very entertaining game. It is nice for the corporation that there is an arrangement with Hasbro games, but is mostly for the $$ benefit to EA Sports, and, a lot of the games are not suitable/entertaining to most Pogo players.

Serena–as for the trivial pursuit rank 50 badge, i expect to get it in the UK at 1 minute past midnite the morning of Saturday, November 7th. This next week will give us pie 1 and 2, then earliest to finish pie 3 is a.m. of 7th, with followup for the bonus on 8th…So, adjust your schedule accordingly if you are on the same track that I am…and gl
CC-you get to do whatever pogo allows in the category of pcs-or personal challenges. This consists of 1 pc normally, 2 rarely, and 3 that happen about every 2-3 months on a marathon weekend. I am on the other side now, took me almost 5 years to finish em all off, so now I can redo old challenges not for badges, but for tokens and rank progress.
But, yes I always wanted pogo to give ev1 a free week on their pogo anniversary date. A week where you could go in and knock out every pc you could for a whole week–dream on…Now, that I have a second account, I am more patient and accepting that i am limited to one at a time, and it may take forever, but, it will get there.

Okay, Kat & Moms, I had to go check my own stats to see how I compare with you two! lol I have been a Club Pogo member since July 18, 2004. (I held out for quite awhile – then I held out on albums & M&Ms, then held out on gems – but finally succumbed to all of them. lolll)
I have a total of 1,083 badges, not counting the ones I’ve done more than once. I do have a bunch of badges on other names from free passes from time-to-time, but I haven’t really done any of those in quite a while. I’ve been playing in Pogo since November, 2001, though didn’t really start playing daily until the following April.
Like you don’t care about ranking out, Kat, I actually don’t seem too bothered getting all the badges done that I’ve already bought! lol I have 3 unfinished M&M albums. I don’t have the money to buy all the M&Ms and sometimes I get sad over the ones I missed that I would have liked to have, but that’s just the way it is right now. I also don’t buy all the albums. If an album has a game I really don’t like, or a challenge that feels more like a chore than a game, I don’t even consider that album. But, like Moms, I do play every game to get the weekly badges, and when I finally got caught up, I was very proud. I have all the weekly badge albums and am mostly caught up with 2009 also.
I don’t think you are that different from me, Kat – I really don’t worry about ranking out that often. If I’m with a group of friends and everyone is working towards it, then – yeppers – I care too (but I’m *always* the last one to finally finish it. lolllllll). But otherwise, not so much.
I’m proud of a few things – the few games I have ranked out on, having caught up and done all the weekly badges for all the albums, my perfect string in Poppa Zoppa & my perfect game in Golf Solitaire. Those felt like I accomplished something.
Here is my question: why does everyone do the UK side of TP and CC? Is it for the tokens and/or to rank faster? Or do you just like the games that much? Right now, I only do the US versions. And, I’m way behind on TP. lol

Personally, I do both sides of Trivial Pursuit for the tokens, faster ranks – and because I sort of have a compulsive need to do everything. I will be happy when I’m all caught up, though.

I agree with the idea of more ranks and many of the games on Pogo. But I would also like to see them reopen the Pogo Store to allow us to buy T Shirts and Hats etc. I have been on for 3 1/2 years and NEVER won one single thing, except wallpaper. I purchased a T Shirt at the Pogo Store and when I wore it to the NY State Fair I got a good amount of people who came up to me and started talking about Pogo. I made 4 new Pogo friends with that T Shirt.
I suggested to Pogo they should allow us to use Gems to purchase and download transfers. We buy the Shirts, and we print out the transfers on Iron On Transfer sheets and make our own T Shirts. That way they do not have to worry about an inventory at all. But as usual you don’t get a response worth anything from Customer Service at Pogo.
I suggested the very same idea to another game site that is also promoted by this Badge Hungry and I got not one but 3 responses from Customer Service thinking it was a great idea. Pogo needs to wake up or they will lose some of their Customer Base.

Im probably one of the only people that feel this way….But, I rather not see ranks added to any games. I like being ranked out. I like new games being added with new ranks. If I like a game and Ive already ranked out in it Ill still play it.

I will continue playing TP after rank 50 b/c Im just too greedy to pass up all those tokens. And I actually find it interesting and have learned a few things.
Ill also do the CC for the tokens. Where can you get almost 10,000 tokens guaranteed in just a few minutes? It doesnt take that long to type in the answers to 2 puzzles a day.
I do the USA UK on both TP and CC, to rank up faster and for the tokens.

ohhh i would love to see more ranks in spades. I love that game and miss working on ranks for it, but i still play off and on. I have enough games that i am a long long long way from making it though ranks that it is ok. As my daughter says i have no life but i am still a long way from ranking out on every game and dont see how others get though the ranks soooo very fast in some of the games. ( i could mention some but we all know the really long hard ranks to get though lol) have a great weekend and gl to all

answer to Sheljin, doing the uk versions as well as usa on crossword cove and trivial pursuit doubles you rank, and that is why most of us play both versions, and for that reason alone is why I have a total of 2023 badges

My thoughts are to move all the ads further down the page and put your stuff in place of the ads. I think people (including myself until I realised) dont see your useful stuff because the ads are in the natural place I would look for your links.
Sheljin post #170. I am in UK and do both UK and US side of CC and TP purely to rank up faster. Im not worried about the tokens at all and when ranked out in those games I will only play them in future for any weekly badges that come up.

I didn’t even think of it until I was reading through the other posts, but Hog Heaven Slots is a must! I hate to admit it, but I have re-set my stats three times and ranked out each time. I’ve also re-set my stats on Sweet Tooth 2. After thinking about it, I’ll probably re-set on Dice City Roller (No Auction) and Scrabble. I guess it’s the closest thing to new ranks. As much as I love Trivial Pursuit, I am so thrilled that we are so close… five pies to Rank 50 was a bit of a let down, but in mid-November there will be a lot of happy Pogo’ers!

Where it explains adding new ranks to games from now on.You will be exactly where you are when they add new ranks…not going to advance anyone anymore.
So i would say just add ranks and Badges to exsisting games.As i for one do not want to start over with another 50 ranks in games i’ve ranked out in.I would rather start a new game to rank out in.

sam # 129 you asked if anyone has ranked out in Canasta and Tri peaks I have ranked them both out and Tri peaks well I had cleared my stats before pogo added the new ones and the first 30 seemed to take me for ever to do over again boy did I learn my lesson never to clear stats in a game to repeat ranks. lol One reason I do not want to see ranks added to games but to new games and game that don’t have ranks. Well, in the case, I hope they don’t add new ranks to Trivial Pursuit – because just think of how it would inconvenience those who are caught up. Or else, make an exception – if they do.
Hog Heaven Slots, Keno Pop, and Spooky Slots are the only three that I ranked out of – but I’m also a fairly new Pogo player.

sassy (#73) regarding your blue dot/recent rooms question. I don’t think (could be wrong though) that you can get rid of it. It does go away when you clear your history, or it may be at the bottom of your list if you happened to have clicked on the (sort by) Room Name at the top of the list. Maybe someone else has an idea.
I find it very interesting after 187 posts that even though many have said *all* games that have no ranks should get them & most have been mentioned specifically (to my amazement even Greenback Bayou…lol) not one person even said the Quack word…..hehehe.

Do have a question for everyone though….I know Trivial Pursuit is a pain in the “you know where”…but are you seriously not going to play anymore when you finally rank out?? Speaking of TP, if you’ve not finished your Badge yet, give the Random Quiz a try. Was amazed at how many of the answers I got right!! Blew my hair big time! lol That’s how I actually got my Badge for this week. I “Couldn’t Wait”, HA!! After the first couple of days I said to myself: Forget this slow way! Hit Random Quiz and off to the races I went! Got my badge real quick! They repeat the questions if you stop and restart the day/quiz a couple times. Give it a try, doesn’t cost a tokie one. Plus, the great thing is that the answers count!! :)
My weather here in Kentucky is absolutely beautiful today…so I opened my windows to let the air in. Loving it!!

I’m a shameless token hound myself, even though I now have over 15 million tokens. For instance, I’m a little disappointed that Pogo hasn’t had any token promotions since the beginning of the month. True, there is the one million token promotion – but that’ll only go to twelve users. A very slim chance, indeed.
I was a little uncertain, when I had asked last week – but I have now decided that I will continue playing Trivial Pursuit, even when I rank out. It does get a little tedious, but two games a day isn’t bad at all. I took advantage of these week’s badge to catch up on the UK side, and it won’t be long, now. I should be able to announce my success at catching up during the next Weekend Open Thread.
BTW, I wonder if the UK questions will still be the same even during the Easter season – since that does change from year to year.
I haven’t played much of Quick Quack. It’s a game that I can enjoy playing every now and then, but I tend to tire of it quite easily.
I love playing Sweet Tooth Two, and I had played it a lot as a Free Pogo Member. As a Club Pogo Member, though, I notice that you have to play quite a few games to make rank progress. I wish they’d go by high scores, instead of how many games you play. I used to enjoy seeing how high I could get, but that seems to do zilch for rank progress. Anyone agree?

Clearing the dots from the last room you played it —- Last week during the Tips & Tokens I accidentally hit the “play now” instead of “select a room”, and it cleared the blue dots from all my favorite games…. every last one of them. Try that next Wednesday and it should take care of the problem.

I would love to have more ranks for Mahjong Garden, Stellar Sweeper, Turbo 21 and Poppit. I would like ranks added to Vaults of Atlantis and Greenback Bayou. And I’m not a big fan of Hog Heaven or Dice City Roller but I know a lot of people are and I don’t understand why pogo has not added more ranks to those 2 games along with Keno Pop-those 3 games are well loved by most people.
Thank you for this site and for doing the Trivial Pursuit answers especially-I don’t like the game and have spent all morning trying to get caught up (just on the US side) and kudos to you for doing this boring job every day. You definitely deserve a halo for that chore alone!

Nobody yet has mentioned adding more ranks to my favorite game, Phlinx. I’d also like to see more ranks added to World Class Solitaire, Squelchies, Phlinx, Hog Heaven, Mahjong Safari oh, and did I mention Phlinx?!? The lure of a new rank badges would keep me going back to games I truly enjoy, but there are so many, I’ll never get completely caught up.

Shel #150, I was just commenting to a friend last night that I wish we could approve ppl for the friends list. I do believe that someone tipped their hand with me the other day by hitting PC instead of Add to Friends list, and it’s not even someone I know she knows someone that is on my list LOL. But I guess that won’t happen at Pogo anytime soon to approve friends, could be a real nightmare I’d think, but it’s on my Wish List nonetheless.

As for which games I’d like to see ranks added Hogs, Keno Pop, and last but not least Spooky Slots and would love to see ranks period in Vaults. I’d probably play Vaults more often if there were ranks.
Nobody has mentioned, at least that I saw, the new forums. I popped in one day and wasn’t impressed at all, but maybe it’s too soon for ppl to know about it or even be interested. I know I won’t be there posting, but might read from time to time. Can’t see a good outcome, unless Pogo interacts with ppl posting.

Well…live and learn…I hadn’t a clue what y’all were talking about USA/UK Trivial Pursuit stuff, until I started reading all the comments about getting badges (yep, I’m a badge ho) and lots of tokies (not so much, but still like getting ‘em). So I checked it out, and sure enuff, there were ALL those empty calendar months just waiting for me to play, hehehe. Duh, feel like I just woke up–wondered why ev1 was saying 5 more pies on Trivial Pursuit. I hadnt looked at the rank page or took my mouse over the rank symbol. This sinus infection is altering my brain, for sure…Yes, I finally checked both ways and I too need 5 more pies, so that would make the countdown to midnite UK time (4 p.m. pst for me) on Saturday, Nov 14th for 5th pie completion. I have adjusted my timeline. Please advise if i still dont have it right (sigh).

Hello All – This is off the “ranks” topic, but I am very annoyed right now. I am really sic and tired of spammers popping in with their irritating messages. I have been playing Mahjong this afternoon and FOUR (4) spammers alone interrupted in two hours time. SummerMom459999 came in twice to spam. I emailed, “reported abuse” etc., but sine they are “Not Pogo Member,” they seem to be untouchable. It not only is an irritant (okay, there ARE worse things in the world), but when I try to help people and suggest checking out Badge Hungry.com, I have had people in the room (who I haven’t been even talking to), get angry at me because they think I am “one of THEM.” Lura, what can we players do? and what is Pogo doing to get these people to leave us alone?

Howdy everyone! Slipping a comment in here before Lura closes us down. (And, no, I *still* don’t remember what I wanted to ask this weekend! grrrrr – need to write these thangs down from now on. lol) Thanks to all the responses about TP & CC on US & UK. I might start doing the UK version of CC – I do love that game. I’m behind all the way to January 2009 in TP and even with the helpful answers provided (and tokie/rank incentive), I find I can’t wrap my mind around trying to catch up all of UK too. lol We’ll see.
I peeked at the forums once – found a poll of some sort, don’t even remember what it was for tho at the moment. They were really uninspiring. I did read Pogo Bret’s “do’s and don’ts” – perhaps they should at least require people to pretend to read that before they post.
Richard with the tee-shirt idea – great idea, I think! What a shame Pogo doesn’t try to use their customer base in a GOOD way. And Mamabear, glad someone agrees with me that it would be nice of something were done about the non-Friends following you around. Sometimes, it is just a kind of compliment – other times, not so much.
Lura – adding my two cents to the possibility of an All-Tips page of some sort. I hear you about having the tips on the games’ page, but alot of the games have no tips listed (not a complaint! just an observation) and I bet there are all sorts of little tips out there that people wouldn’t even think of posting to the games pages but that a question from someone else might remind them of a little something that helped them. Just my two cents.

I guess these spammers think if they use “Mom” related surnames, it’ll make them look innocent. After all, nobody can hate a “Mom” – save for their own rebellious children, lol. Sometimes, I’ll post a “SCAM” warning in the chat box – in order to warn anyone who might otherwise fall for it. They are very annoying, indeed.
Also, yeah, I was aware of the Bingo Night and Tips For Tokens promotions – but I meant besides those. Maybe we’ll have more by the beginning of next month.

I probably won’t even bother with Jigsaw Detective – since the token payout isn’t very high, the puzzles are repetitive, and you don’t really have ranks. I’ll probably play them from time to time.

Robyn: unfortunately there’s nothing you can do beyond what you’ve already tried. It’s so easy for the spammers to create new trial accounts and keep spamming. Even if Pogo were to get a report of one username, they could just go create another trial account and start again. As far as people getting angry about you talking about BadgeHungry, I guess it’s just their loss.
Sheljin: if I had all of the time in the world I’d do whatever anyone asked on this site. But since I don’t…
I’ve been collecting the tips from various weekend threads and all of the emails I get to add them to the ranks pages. It’s just boring and tedious (and a lot of them need to be re-written for clarity) and I just haven’t finished. Even if I did have them up, there’d still be games that didn’t have tips listed. That’s because the pages have existed for MAYBE a month and people are still going to find the pages and submit their tips (especially if there are none). So give it time.
In the meantime, you guys can always use the search engine. A little creativity there will go a long way. For example, typing squelchies tip into the search box over there -> gets you on the first result a page with tons of comments that include tips.

A few more hints for Chrissy #82 on ranking out in Fortune Bingo. Already mentioned has been play in a room by yourself. When I was ranking out in this game I found that there tended to be fewer people in the One Card Speedy rooms. The numbers are called alot faster in the One Card rooms, so you don’t wait around as long as you would in a Three Card or Six Card room. Also, I found it helpful to play early early in the morning or late late at night, fewer people around then as well. My favorite rooms were the tournament rooms. Virtually untouched for many hours of the day.

Seljin – I do both sides of TP and CC because (1) I adore both games, (2) I get more tokies for mini mall shopping, and (3) to rank up faster [especially in CC].
I also wish Pogo would come up with a personal marathon week, or even a day or two, where you could get as many badges as you wanted. I joined toward the end of the year in 2005 and I have a ton of badges to catch up on (did not play the weekly challenges in the beginning). This would be a wonderful idea on their part but heaven only knows we will probably never see it happen.

I have been playing crossword cove the past few days and have seen at the bottom of the screen, so and so won the puzzles in time badge for cc and I cant seem to find the badge anywhere. How the heck do you get this badge, and where can you find it? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
