i dont really see anything wrong with pogo having its own forum. actually i am surprised its just now happening. i would have thought it would kind of been a normal thing to do. for instance, when i 1st heard of these fan site like badgehungry and others and saw they had forums i wondered why pogo didnt have 1 to begin with? i think its a little late(better late than never tho) in coming, but i do understand why they now see the need for 1… they will have a lot of work to so with it and see some additions to it as time goes by. however i do not believe it is that bad of an idea. if pogo had a forum long ago. (when most here have been a member either free or club for a while now. i dont think it would be an issue and would still have many of these fans sites that we enjoy as well.. so lets call this my 2 cents worth. lol

I hope they are giving the moderators a bonus for having to read all those posts. I have a feeling once the word gets out to the general Pogo population that the forums exists there could be some heavy censorship happening. Pogo cant even keep the ones offering free tokens at xxx… out of chat.

The way it is set up now remind me of the beginning days of forums. Some of those were fun to read with all the flame wars (or whatever they call it these days) going on.

I certainly wont be posting, but if I wanted to I would just go set up a free account and do my posting from there. ;-

HomelessDog: you have got to be kidding me! I am going to keep my mouth shut here, but let me just say that kind of re-writing censorship is one of the very few things that boils my blood about some other fan forums. I had thought Pogo would be above that kind of childish behavior. *shakes head*

That is true. I don’t think the filters were in place yesterday morning, but today I’m noticing the word POGO in all caps whenever it looks like someone has referenced a different fan site.

HomelessDog: interesting. I was told yesterday — by a Pogo employee — that while they weren’t sure how it was going to play out, they didn’t see why BadgeHungry would be censored. That’s too bad. I’ve already seen a few references to other fan sites across the forums, I wonder if they’d like help adding to their censor filters. *lol*

Oh well, I’m sure if anyone wants to point someone to something on this site, they can always tell people to Google whatever they need. I’ve seen posts that do that already.

BTW, I noticed that they already filter our mentions of other fan sites like this one. So don’t try redirecting people here.

And they will delete any posts mentioning glitches or cheats.

Hi all,
How come we in the UK have not got this forum? (not that i would use it lol ) Do the French & German Pogo sites have it or is it just us Brits missing out? We all pay to play on pogo so we should all get the same facilities me thinks!!!

Just went to check it out…in a “word”—DUD!!!

Never have I EVER seen anything quite as unprofessional as THAT!! For such a huge corporation, raking in the money that they are?? hmmmm??

That will be my one and only visit! :)

If they are so proud of their Forums, seems like they would have ANNOUNCED it FIVE DAYS AGO, huh?

Hope Pogo is proud of what they’ve done to what I once considered a very unique game site.
