im at rank 23 and recieved the 2500 battleships sunk badge. you get that badge for any ship not just battleships. gl have fun.

i have never played battleship til pogo came out with it….i absolutly love it…..its amazing the games i have learned to play since pogo….battleship has the best music clips….the power ups are cool…..i dont think there is much more that can be added to it on any leve to make it more fun than it already is…..i say good job pogo….

I agree with Dans suggestion above. The Tenacious Shot badge requires 50,000 misses. Ive been intentionally missing targets and have about 4,000 misses already. Each game you have a chance of 87 misses and 13 hits (assuming the bot doesnt get reinforcements). Plus, ranks in this game are achieved by shots made. So, if you string out the game and fill the entire grid, youll rank up quicker.

The good way to do this is to sink as many of the bots ships as early as possible. When the bot has one ship left, locate where it is (but dont destroy it!). For each shot the bot makes, youll have 2 – 6 shots (depending on how many ships you have left. If I have any reinforcements on my board, I can make a lot of intentional misses on the bots board watch the ranks go up.

Overall, I like this game a lot. Im up to rank 9 already. And I love the little sound clip from Perfect Pair Solitaire at the beginning of each game. I get a good chuckle from it.

I am enjoying the new battleship game, it brings back memories of when we and my father would play. I am going to let him know about the new addition to pogo and see if I can get him to join so we can play.

I agree with you Cathy, I would also have liked it if it was possible to choose which power up i wanted to use, instead of the heat seeking missiles.

I am enjoying this tho, brings back happy memories of playing this with my brother and me stretching just far enough to take a quick peek over the top and look where his ships were :)

BTW Lura, I hope ur ears werent burning too bad a little while ago as another player and myself were talking about you in TP. What would we do without you !

I found when I play the quick game that you get 4 shots throughout the game (they don’t go down one if you lose a ship). Also I use auto deploy to set the ships. The bots can’t seem to find them. Ive won most of the games. This is gonna be a slow ranker. It’s a great game but I wish they would have let us choose when and where we use the power ups. Have a great night!

i just got rank 7 and now rank 8 needs over 12000 hits, so this game won’t be fast ranking….. i’m getting bored of it already …. maybe just rank 10 badge for me lol

Okay, I get the game now, after playing several rounds. Takes an old lady a while, ya know. Anyways, I played against bots and retained my rank when I checked in a few minutes ago. The game for me is okay, but a bit slow and tedious for me, but since I’m a badge hound….still on my way to win the most misses!
