Weekend Open Thread

I hope everyone have a wonderful weekend. My question is about the Mini Golf Madness link on this page in the game help section.. It use to work for me but as of lately, I can’t get it to come up. Is it still available for viewing?
Also, while I’m playing Mini Golf, I sometimes place my ball in one position on the tee and would like to move it to another place, do anyone know if you can move the ball once you have place it?

Eve if you want to move the ball just move your cursor over the spot you want it on till it becomes a white ball then left click. Just went and tried it and it worked.

hello and happy weekend everybody, i have a question about word seach daily, i play on medium and the tokens don’t add up, not surprisingly, so i switched to easy and i only got 6 tokens for the game, haven’t decided if i should contact pogo yet, because that’s always fun, but has anybody noticed the token pay out too?

janice, for harvest mania play on hard level, u still dont get a whole heckuva lot of tokens, but it goes a bit faster…wonderland memories is simple, u just match cookies

Janice: I can’t help much with Harvest Mania, i just try to survive that game. But on Wonderland Memories, what do you need help with?

Kathleen: I find the weekly mini golf courses tend to show up like 3 days after the actual data that pogo has on them….donno why I just know it does that.

Just me: on easy of WSD the token payout isn’t very good. I play on easy because you rank up just as quick as any other difficulty level, but since I only play on easy I don’t notice tokens. I also tend to play about once a month.

Lura: Thanks for more Pogo Passes!! You’re the best! I am trying to give out a bunch of my extra passes to people in my league this weekend since I just found out (from you) that they have to be used by Sunday night…stupid. But as always, thanks SOOO much for this site

As i do my daily entries in CC, WSD, and TP, I get so darned happy nowadays. I like to rank out in games and will stay focused on one game at a time till it is done. This has been a challenge for me doing daily entries-a challenge in patience and persistence….And now, Trivial Pursuit being finished has become a real possibility. Is anyone as excited as I am???
And without the support of BH, this would not have come to such a success. Thank you so much, Lura. You may be making someone’s day or week, but, you are making my month !!!

Well, I haven’t got any questions, and I’m horrible at game advice, so I’ll just say hello. I live in Connecticut and we got snow last night. None of it stuck to the ground, but it made me sad. I work outside and I’m not ready for snow! Not this early! It feels like Christmas and Halloween isn’t even here yet. This is only my third year here, but my fiance says he can’t remember it ever snowing this early. :[

I guess I’ll continue to read through questions just in case I can help with something, but I don’t see that happening haha

Has anyone else had issues with Trivial Pursuit Daily 20 in terms of losing rank weeks even though they have played every day since the game began? I play for my wife, and she is where she is supposed to be, which is reaching rank 29 (Ruby) on Saturday. But for some reason I am two weeks behind, as I just got rank 28 (Joystick). I haven’t missed a day since this game started in September of 2008. Any way this can be fixed or changed, or is it another game mishap that I can do nothing about? hi everyone,i have question about cove crossword puzzles do you have to do the puzzles on easy,just to finish a monthi did sept and doing oct as we go daily, i didnt get the monthly badge.my puzzles only go back to middle of july,but i remember doing some on normal is any 1 else having this promblem. also im not caught up with trival p i hope they dont disappearlike there only 30 to 31 days in a month and im at rank 13 . love this site lura you are great hagd

Mike # 20. Play Trivial Pursuit on both UK and US site you should be nearing rank out by now. Without signing in and bothering to check I am rank 46 or 47 right now and can’t wait to be done! lol
As for your problem, does the little ‘find wedges’ button light up for you? If it does you have unfinished pies which might account for your rank being lower than your wifes. If it doesn’t light up and you are caught up, I’m sorry, I can’t help.

Thanks, Suz. I had forgotten about that one. I also got the Lovely Fall Sunday as it reminded me so much of my trip last year to Vermont. Nothing quite like New England in the fall. Okay, so I’m better now. The immediate urge has passed – I still do really, really, really like the Life on a Leaf!

Hi everybody. I had a strange occurence happen in WSD. On Wed., it showed I had one more square to do to get rank 34. Just past midnight I did the puzzle for Thursday. But instead of giving me rank 34, it popped up that I had just gotten rank 33 (again!). Then when I looked, it showed I had TWO more squares before reaching rank 34. I have done every puzzle since the game came out….has anyone else reached rank 34 yet?

I will continue doing TP even after ranking out because the tokens are great for the whole week, especially on Sundays! I know they are practically useless, but still love to get them. I not only go after badges, but tokens also.

Thanks so much Lura, that Mini golf link work just fine now. I have to make a reference check nearly every time I play it (lol).

I have a couple badge albums that I can’t finish because of one game standing in my way. For example: PayDay Free Cell. It is just not going to happen. How can I finish the “leftovevers” so I can move on to completion? Are there any trustworthy “Pitch Hitters??” (lol).

PS: My mini was elected as Amazing. My daughter is so proud of me :)

Hi everyone…just looked at Next Week’s Badges…Trivial Pursuit..have to answer 200 questions..think I might not do the puzzles from now til Badge day..don’t like the random ones lol Have a great weekend every one. Love your tangerine Mini Lura.

Nonsense, play trivial pursuit the same way you always do !!!! It only asks for 200 answers. You could play ones other than calendar and get it in one day and keep your very nice bonus tokens. Or…just play regularly as you always do. You have a whole week to get it and if you play both UK and US, that is 5 puzzles each to get the 200. So, you have to wait 5 days to complete the puzzle, you have a whole week.
Either way accomplishes getting the bonus tokens that add up so quickly and advance rank progress.

It’s been a loooooong week on my end. I hope you all are having a good Friday and TGIF right? Did anyone have a problem with the Spooky Slots badge not showing credit in the chat? I still got it but it didn’t say anything about how much I had gotten in the chat….

Also does anyone else have a problem with Beaker Creatures loading? I’ve been chatting with EA support for a long while about this (i gave up a while back then when the newest badge book came out i had to contact them again). I’ve done everything they have asked and more but with no results. Thankfully I had a friend who offered to do the badge for me.

It’s cold and rainy here in Missouri, no snow yet but it doesn’t feel far off. I’m ready for a vacation to someplace sunny with a nice beach. Anyways I gotta get going, I hope you all have a great weekend!

A few more thoughts for Cookie and the Shoot the Moon badge.

If you have friends helping you, make sure they pass high hearts to the hand trying to shoot the moon. Make sure you pass low cards of any suit if you’re trying to shoot it. If you can’t find enough people to help, go find the directions on double browsing. When I’ve gone for those shoot the moon badges, I drag out two computers and double browse on both of them so I can see all four hands and plan out my moves to shoot the moon in one or two hands.

Lura, would you mind posting that the freebies above have all been claimed? It would save the rest of us some hassle.

I just want to say, I really enjoy your website.

I have a question to ask. I just started doing the daily games, and I’m all caught up with Word Search Daily and Crossword Cove (both US and UK). Trivial Pursuit is taking awhile, though – even though I should be done with the US side, soon. I’m not as far on the UK side, though – which I’ll be concentrating on, next. The game does get a little tedious, though – even with the answers right there.

Anyway, the question is this. With the daily games, how many plan to continue playing them – even after you rank out? It’ll take some time to rank out of Word Search Daily, but I’m already Rank 26 at Trivial Pursuit.

Moni: that badge just took FOREVER. I did get it but it took a long time

KayentaJane: Thanks for the tips. I tried just double browsing but I never thought of using 2 computers too (since i have a laptop and a desktop at home I could get away with that) but I only have 1 other pogo name so i’d have to make up 2 more names….

That reminds me, i’ve been trying to get the Sock Hop Slots Halftime Hop Badge for weeks now. (Win 1000 tokens in the Free Spin Bonus) but I STILL haven’t got even ONE free spin. Does anyone know the consistency on this?

I will continue to play word search and trivial purisuit after ranking out but not crossword cove I can’t stand crosswrods and only play for the badges if pogo adds more ranks to the game in the future then I’ll start playing it again

For Moni #49 – Yes, I got that badge. It took about 19 hours of play over about 3 days, if I remember correctly. They do not come up often.

For Cookie #54 – I don’t remember how long it took to get that badge, but if I don’t remember it couldn’t have been too horrible :)

For Faith #32 – I got the rank 34 badge when I completed yesterday’s puzzle.

When I rank out in TP and CC I will probably continue to do them b/c of the amount of tokens involved. I’m not sure about WSD, but since I like the game and it’s quick I will probably continue playing after rank 50.

I’m looking forward to the new Solitaire badge album. The badges look cute and I like playing all of the solitaire games….except Payday FreeCell. Luckily my DIL loves the game, and is great at it. And since she is family I can trust her with my password. It is the only game that I can’t get my head around, and the only game where someone else has done my badges. I would NOT just give my password to someone I didn’t know, it would have to be someone that I really trusted.

It was so nice and cool in south Texas last weekend, then we hit the mid 90′s again :( Luckily we are now getting a little cooler at night again, but it’s still warm during the day.

Hi Everyone and Happy Friday, first of all, I want to thank Lura for all her time and effort in maintaining this great site, it is so informative. I do have a comment, I wish some of the items in the mini mall didn’t “cost” so many tokens and you didn’t have to use so many gems. It gets quite expensive to purchase gems for m/ms and albums. I would like Pogo to give a few “free items” maybe there way of saying “thanks to all its supporters.” Please forgive me if I offended anyone by my comment. I love Pogo but just wish they were alittle more generous with “giving” us perks. Also, I have gotten hooked on Big Fish Games and Lura thank you for all you do on that site. Dawn: Oh gosh! I hope you are able to get it!! We tried it on 2 different computers here and it just wont load for me. I dread any upcoming weekly badges for Beaker Creatures. Hopefully something gets resolved soon, been trying since the game came out. I was hoping they would give me the badge (it was the last one i needed) but they just keep wanting my system info or to upgrade this or that.

I have been working on first class and am getting no where fast. Is there a secret in winning? I seem to loose most of the time. Need to win 2 games in a row and just can’t do it.

I just finished obtaining the last mini award for Boardwalk Sea Ball. I now have all of the ones that have been released. Now I have to start working on the games for the new ones that are coming out. I will admit that I’ve only used 2 or 3 when doing my mini, but I still need to have them ALL :)

Lol, i am sitting here laughing, my silly solution for playing only 3/4 of a phlinx game is paying off. So happy that sharing it helped at least 2 people. It was the only way I could cut off a few precious seconds that i could see…and gain the badge. It is so nice to have a place where we can share ideas and hints.
For Janice, I can play hearts with zero points. Trying to think of HOW i do it…first thing, it is Not no tricks, but no tricks that have points against you. You can win tricks that do not include hearts or Qof S….again, I will play bots, evaluate hands. The badge, I believe is based on Hands, not game wins, so if I am correct, dont have to win the whole game. This is another that I stand and sit if I get a loser hand. The pass 3 cards is tricky—I Never pass a spade unless is Q, K, A. All others I keep. I try to pass ones that will leave me with a void in one suit, diamonds or clubs. That way, if i cant follow suit, I can dump a point on someone. If it is a non-point hand, i try to WIN it. If it is a pointer hand, I try to use my highest card without winning it. If I dont want the lead, i throw out my lowest card to pass the lead. These are just a few things i can think of; generally, u have to size up the hands. Oh, and if I have a high hand with aces and hearts, i go for broke and shoot the moon. They will ask if you want to subtract the points from your hand or add em to bots—I give em to bots, thus zero game is awarded. I am sure others can add hints. If you are new to the game, i suggest you google HOYLE and read up what the experts on card strategy says…..gl

I just saw that Dinner Dash was removed. Are any of the other download games going? I havent finished some.

Just want to say, how grateful I am to have received so many Subway passes in order for me to have a Pogo Membership. Who says we dont get something for nothing. Instead of moaning and groaning that Pogo doesnt give us this or Pogo doesnt give us that….. we need to appreciate that we have a great site to go play at, make friends, and for some, it is a way to connect with people if you cant really get out and about. Yeah, we gotta pay for some things but when you stop and think about, what cheap entertainment. Lets hope that Pogo continues to thrive and be successful because if we dont have Pogo, there is alot of peeps that will be pretty cranky. I cant really help with any games, but for one…. in TP even though the answers are on this site, I found out that if you dont like playing it (like me) play 10 questions til the wedge hits the pie and you get credit for it just close out of the game you get credit without having to play all the way to 20. And then I just play the bonus wedge for points. (I ranked up a months worth of answers in a couple hours, it takes longer for it to load than to play the game.)
And I have a question about Mini-Golf… I thought there was going to be like 19 badges for that game? Does anyone know what is going on with that one? Are they out and Im missing them or did they do away with them? I have the 4 course badges and the par hole in one badge and then also the rank 10 badge but its gotten so boring lately.

Im working on Shuffle bump for my personal this week, Score 31 points or more in a single round 18 times this week. it is tough, but doable. Im at 6/18 right now. does anyone have any tips to help achieve 31 aside from luck? Im not sure which settings are best.

Joy # 101 I think you got your bingo games mixed up….Luau is nothing to do with EWB….but the rumor is false…or else I’m being left out of the loop, cuz I am rank 50 in Everyone Wins Bingo, and I don’t get extra pinecones…just more agrivation. lol

pogofan–be sure to get new washer/dryer with tax rebate savings—if ya can–not sure where it may be posted, but, know there ARE units that qualify. These are power saving devices that will benefit ya in the long run.. Am sure salesmen or women will point these out, but, better to confirm. Good luck, sounds like a lot of work. Joy (101), regarding your inquiry about double cones in EWBingo, it is true IF you have ranked out in both Luau AND EW, but it’s not worth it because you get 3 doubles in every 10 to 15 games to pass ‘em and sometimes you need a bunch of wilds to even get the opportunity to pass ‘em! Towards the very end of me obtaining my 25,000 wilds did I get doubles to pass and then it was only once or twice and I got 6 or 7 consecutive cards in row with doubles. I almost fell over! Good luck!

For Joy #101 – When you reach rank 50 in Bingo Luau AND rank 50 in Everyone Wins Bingo then you get RANDOM double pine cones.

All this means is that about once an hour you will get 2 double cones on your cards. When they say random they actually mean once in a blue moon :)

I was fairly high in rank in bingo luau when I found this out so finished off that game while ranking up in EWB. When I got to rank 50 in both games I expected to see a lot of double pinecones. I was very disappointed in how often I didn’t get them. I haven’t played EWB in quite a while, except for a badge, so don’t know if you get them more often now. Once I passed that last pinecone for the passing badge I stopped playing the game b/c of all the drama.

Without doubles you can get a max of 20 pincones on your cards…with doubles you can get a max of 22 pinecones. You have to figure out if it’s worth it to you to max out in Bingo Luau for an extra 2 pinecones an hour. Good Luck!!

I finally got caught up on the US side of Trivial Pursuit, with the exception of today’s. I do appear to have lost a rank. I’m hoping that the problem gets corrected, though. It could be possible.

Anyway, it took me two week do get all the days on the US side done – and, man, I’m now all burnt out on Trivial Pursuit. I will still catch up on the UK side, but I’ll probably pace myself more with that.

Well, you guys all make good points about the high token payouts for Crossword Cove and Trivial Pursuit – so I probably will continue, as well. It takes about fifteen minutes tops to complete them, so…

just wanted to say i absolutly love this site….i dont remember what pogo room i was in when i saw them talking about it…but thank you…..i keep this site up 24/7 on my pc ….you all are the best…lura u are the sweetest….keep up the great great work…….. mwahhhhh

I just completed the Creature Feature course. There’s a gold star next to the course, but didn’t receive any badge. The badge isn’t in the album yet. Maybe it’ll show up later in the day?

to debbie #123: there is NO WSD in UK–It celebrates the 50 United states and the Brits didnt enjoy the tea party, altho we have been allies since. But, you can do both Crossword Cove and trivial Pursuit, both US and UK.

to Pogofan I had JUST seen a reminder on t v that one needed to purchase appliances by November ?? to be eligible for tax credit. I racked my mind and could not think of any friends or family in the appliance market. So, i musta saved that message just for you. YVW

For DJT75 #133 – I have all the Mix & Match badges and you are correct, the Spooky Slots was #2 in M&M album #19. And I only have 2 badges that I haven’t finished yet….am hoping to get 1 of them done this weekend.

For Bryan #135 – Your friend has to go to Badge Central and click on the tab that says Add an Album. On the right have them check “Include albums I have purchased”. All albums that are available now will show up. Under cash price there is an option to “Give as a gift”. Once they click on that there will be detailed directions.

Bryan, there is an alternate method–go to friends page, click on friends name to bring up profile, there is a send this friend a gift tab. It will show u what they own already, so u dont duplicate. You can do this anytime you want. I send brithday gifts and holiday gifts to a select few.

There have been 28 badge albums released and 26 of them are still available thru Badge Central. You can give them as a gift anytime, as long as they havent been retired. You do not need to send them when you purchase the album for yourself.

To Smarty (113) /Lura: I was playing German and French Trivial Pursuit with my free pogo name and cannot play now with the free subscriptions I have. Heres my question – If I suspend my subscription to play them again when I go back to reinstate myself will I still have the free subscriptions? Thanks. Still love this site and am sending everyone here that I can and will continue to do so till Lura tells me to stop lol. No snow here in Michigan – yet.

Me AGAIN :) I got my Trivia done, so I just had to come back and try to help with the Sapphires Ali Baba Slots Badge. Grrrrr, it’s the most elusive badge ever!!

Lura, I saved you some time too, that site search thingy really works!! Great idea!! We can look our own names up…that’s how I found my old posts–lots and lots of old posts, lol All mine!! (giggle)

Here are the rest of the tips I shared earlier in the previous Post:

FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT—SWITCH ROOMS ALOT!! Especially after you get one set of the three jewels. THAT is a must! I would log out, clean files, etc. then log back in, and go to a new room. Pick rooms that aren’t too full, about half-full worked best for me.

Another Tip: (crazy one coming, lol) I would click on the far right of Max Bet Button and alternately click on the far left of Max Bet. Have NO CLUE why that made a difference but it did.

Also– alternate clicking Max Bet in the CENTER, then click the Handle at the TOP. The key here is ALTERNATING YOUR CLICKS. Now I know this sounds crazy, but it helped three other players in the same room with me, using these methods, to get their badges too!!! SO I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!! :) Telling you I have gotten this badge three times was not bragging like I said earlier, just trying to let you know that these tips worked for me. :)

Sooooo, GL, Moni, I hope this helps you get that AWFUL, badge, lol I know these sound crazy, yep, I know they do, but they helped me and several others like I said, so please give them a try? What have you got to lose, right? Besides, you DON’T have to tell anyone you’re doing it!!! ROFL

The volcano in addiction solitaire seems pretty random. I actually tried to keep a chart of where it showed up each time to see if there was a pattern to it but had no luck with that. Anyhow I do think I was about rank 22 or so when I got my last mini item so it did take a while. GL in the game.

Thanks for the Addiction answers everyone, I appreciate it! I don’t feel like its just me, well not as much. lol I just made rank 20 in there, so maybe Pogo is getting ready to give me the rest of my mini items (won’t hold my breath, tho!)

Mamabear – hope it wasn’t too bad, I know lots of PA has been getting snow. I’m in Jersey, but its just been rain & wind & cold. Ugh, really not ready for this weather yet.

Lura – Just want to thank you again for such a great site! I have already gotten some really helpful game hints, love the mini golf screen shots, got 3 3-month Pogo wins over at Subway! Everyone is so nice, and the site is extremely easy to navigate thru. Thanks again.

Ive only recently started buying the mix-n-match badges and try to buy 10 a month of the ones that are retiring/close to retiring. Have 3 mix-n-match albums full right now. Does anyone know whenvpogo puts the badges on sale, what day of the week do they usually do that? Is it Tuesdays??

For Catania # 155 – The Special Limited Edition badges never go on sale and are only available for a short time. The Spooky Slots badge will probably retire in less than 2 weeks b/c you can only play that game until Halloween….and then it disappears until next year.

sexyspongebobc #161 Everyone Wins Bingo has got to be the most controvercial game pogo has. No matter which side of the issue you are on, there are good arguments for both sides.

And, Im sure this is just someones idea of a funny to get the dander up on the other side

(#141) Sheljin…I love Addiction Solitaire, too, and understand your frustration with winning the volcano bonus game. I didnt notice much of a pattern, except usually it wont choose the same place twice in a row to end the game (kind-of like lightning). However, it seems completely random. Just keep trucking and youll eventually get all the mini items.

I guess Mini Golf Madness does have weekly archives. It’s going to be a little hard, though – if you have to make par or under in order to successfully complete them.

Say, has anyone been having this problem on Crossword Cove – where you complete the puzzle, you click All Done, and then it only gives you have the tokens? It took me three attempts to do today’s puzzle on the US side, before I finally got the jackpot – and the 4,000+ tokens. I guess I got some extra tokens out of the deal, but it’s still kind of irritating.

Well, off to do the UK side. Hope that doesn’t give me as much trouble.

Hello again. Does anyone know how the ranks work in yahtzee? It doesn’t tell you after each game (like most other games) how much more you need to get to the next rank. Also, what do you need to rank: jps or something else?

Bryan; There are only 5 badges to earn in Yahtzee, 1 every 10 ranks.
To earn ranks you need jps. In classic mode, you need 225 or more pts.
In wild mode you need 250 or more pts.
If you hold your cursor over the cup, it will highlight what rank you are, and scroll on bottom how many you need to next rank.
Hope this helps.

For Yahtzee, it says rank points, but it’s actually spins. Once you get to rank 27, you need to get 100 spins to go up to the next rank.

just a hint i found—in rooms with the word daub in the title, b/os are allowed and welcomed. Thus you can play Ev1 Wins Bingo, stead of Ev1 Whines Bingo.

I have to say again how awesome this site is! I am so glad someone mentioned it while in TP one day and life with Pogo has been SO much easier since then. I love reading these comments because I learn something new every day!

But a quick question, why do they hate bo’s in EWB? I usually play in a sharing room and I have gotten bo’s before and didn’t know it was taboo…lol

Also, why is my Crossword Cove rank only 32? Maybe I started it later then everyone else? I have all of them done that can be done on my calendar.

pat, bo’s are welcome in ANY room, even passing rooms…the passers feel that by doin that, ur takin away from THEIR cones lol..no law that says you cannot b/o in passing rooms, they like to think of it that way, but not breakin tos if u do

Just discovered this blog and it’s pretty awesome by the way! Been following the comments about addiction solitaire and am now totally intrigued. Are there additional secret mini items awarded on top of the three listed on the mini awards page? If so, how many more are there and what are they? Or does pogo let you pick them from the mini mall?

Ell helped me in First class S yesterday. But do have another question for that game. Do you win more games hopping from room to room or am I just bad in the winning circle? This game is the hardest to win at. You might win one or two maybe get lucky and win 3, then man look out you are going to loose a whole lot. Room to room? Or just stay in one room and wait on luck?
Not a whole lot of people this weekend like last weekend. Where is everyone?

For Brenda #188 – Because there are no power ups in First Class Solitaire it is more difficult. It’s all in how the cards fall. I was happy that my stats showed an overall winning percentage of 24% when I ranked out in that game.

Thank you Susie and MomsBassetHound for the tips. Ell helped me get the badge she said once I won one game and didn’t win the next to not click new game and go to another room and so on and so on. So I got the badge, but was wondering about winning games in general. But I will try seeing if I get the 3 cards to put on top and click new game if I don’t have the 3 at first. I love to play Solitaire but this frist class card game is a challenge in itself. LOL

cheryl, i have heard various rumors in EWB in getting to rank 50. The most persistent one is that a b/o causes the timing clock to run out..that ranks in with the rumor that a boogie man enters the room and takes away the pine cones…it is a group herd mentality that permeates some rooms and i, for one, dont feel like listening to their peer pressure, and prefer a room where i , most likely, wont have to deal with their drama.
I like this BH so much more because it is delightful and people help you to get more badges, rather than fuss at you for trying. It is also why i play in an empty room between 2 and 4 a.m. when a bingo challenge is in play. There is no need for all that hostility. Another is rated games, even one in jungle gin. Someone won and someone lost. In the lobby, the loser left the most profane language i have read in a long time.
If pogo would come down on these people, i dont know if that would make much of a difference. But, i do all in my power to block, leave the room, report if outright curse and abuse, and avoid rooms where the drama plays out. Pogo for me is a relaxation and i try to keep that in mind and i try to leave others knowing that i was courteous and helpful and not a drama queen.

oh, almost forgot–to Sunshine–when you win the minis in addiction soli, they are sent to your closet in mini mall–they are all clustered in a group that you can display with your mini. Any other minis you may get along in the games are saved on the home page till you release em. On far left column almost at the bottom, is a section called The Buzz. It says Get your Mini Awards today. I wondered what that was and went in there to find minis for games I had maxed out long ago being held hostage…rather than getting them in regular game play…so if are missing a few, this is a good place to hunt.

Thanks for the person who posted the “why” about the hate for bo in EWB. I was totally clueless too. Are they afraid that if someone gets a blackout, its because they were hoarding wilds or something? I just had to do a blackout badge, so I’m glad I didn’t run into any trouble. I hadn’t even realized we had special rooms in that bingo game now too. Sheeesh!

There are 5 in-game mini awards that you can win/get if you beat the volcano in Addiction Solitaire. There is a background, crazy hat, scooter, Pogo jacket, and a group of “buddies” (my favorite).

Regarding Everyone Wins Bingo black/out issues. Don’t you find
it ironic that drama players insist black/outs are a no-no…if so, then why
does Pogo have at least 2 badges that I am aware of, that calls for black/outs
in order to earn the badges…? Toss that tidbit in chat whenever you see
players attacking innocent players for having the audacity to black out cards!
Who changed the rules how to play bingo anyway…ever since I was a kid…getting a b/o first was a feather in one’s cap.

In regards to Everyone Whines in Bingo – and it’s strictly my opinion only – but Pogo could control that game if it wanted to. They have the ability to threaten to shut the game down for a while until people play nice, take away some rooms so it’s harder to get into a game, and on and on. But Pogo has chosen to stay out of the mess and respond every once in a while to a couple letters to the editor here and there. And their wonderful Miss Don’t Forget to Mute Everyone Under Any Circumstance Netiquette uses her canned, Mute ‘Em Danno, speech every time someone complains about the obnoxious behavior by some (certainly by no means all) games. I go into EWB and play according to what badge/challenge I’m working on and that’s that. I pay the same amount for my annual subscription as everyone else.

Indy is now stepping down off her soapbox and she’s going back to her little corner in Badge Hungry.
