Just FYI, the original requirements for this badge were “Spin the reels to get 3 Spiders 5 times in 1 day!” Thankfully Pogo decided to loosen up a little bit and make this based on the free spin bonus and not 3 spiders which probably would have been near impossible!

Got the ghost and the first spin, won the 500 tokens, so patiently waited for the other 14 to finish, ended up with some pretty good spins…
However some had been in the room for over an hour and still no ghost :-(

Wow … I’m all for special holiday badges, but this was a joke for me … I activate it, went into the room … spun the reels three times then hit the bonus round and got the badge.
Oh well … easy come, easy go!

I am having a problem with this badge. I spent my gems for the badge and it came across my e-mail stating I had purchased the Limited edition halloween badge for spooky slots. Nothing ever showed up on my homescreen showing the badge or how many tokens I had won toward it. I played spooky slots to win it and won over 4000 token in a half hour and never received my badge as being won. Also checked badges won and wasnt on there either. Any suggestions.

Got it in 10 mins, thought it was going to take longer even when I got the ghost I thought lets hope I win 500 tokens (your never know with Pogo) and after 15 spins Iwon 2080. Easy and quick done.
Did you notice they changed the icon for this badge?

I was a little less fortunate. I got the ghost and 450 in spins within 15 minutes, but took me almost an hour to complete to 500. Don’t want others to feel bad when they don’t get it right away !!!

I am one of the unlucky ones – lol! Got the 1st ghost and 100 then took forever to get the 2nd one . . . but with that I hit 3 spiders for 10,000 so the badge was done and I was happy!

sportsref (post 9) Did you the activate challenge? Find it in your Mix and Match albums. I know I have gotten in a hurry to start playing and forgot to do this. Also it’s not how many tokens you win but you need to get a ghost and win the 500 tokens on the free spins. Hope this helps out.

I guess you can file my experience under “unlucky” too, but I prefer to think of it as “getting my money’s worth”:
I played for a total of an hour and a half last night and in that time I got one ghost/free spin bonus. It hit for 390 tokens total. I headed back in this morning to play some more, and within 15 minutes I got another ghost/free spin bonus and got the badge on its 2nd spin. :)
I think this one’s really, really cute and will probably display it as my chat icon for the whole month.

let’s see here…i was in almost one hour and here’s what it took to get my cute little badge: 366 spins, 10 stories, two lighted punkins, 10 jackpot spins, and two free spins, plus two coffee breaks, one potty break (heheh) and one treat session for my doggies to tide them over until their mam could feed them REAL food. Now we’re on our walkies! BTW, I didn’t skip rooms like I usually do cuz I wanted to keep tabs on what it took to get my badge. Oh, and I won 8215 tokies.

I am not going to get this one, 1st one I have not gotten this year. I am protesting as they have had a Special Edition ever month which IMO makes it not special and not worth 28 gems; furthermore it irks me that they are charging full SE price for a badge you can only play or work on during Oct.

to sportsref, even though u buy the badge, u do need to activate it. I am telling thru experience, cuz at times i went straight to the room for the badge and realized i had not activated it. Once activated, it will direct you to the game. If you log on and want to check the activation status, it WILL appear on the home page. As you click on it, it WILL appear on the room selection page..if ya dont see it, it is a big CLUE.
You won’t be the first, nor the last to have this happen to you. Good luck.

dan- they do not have special editions EVERY month, they have them for holidays….and they charge 28 gems for the special badges, cause they are special, not normal mix and match..

Aw, geez, I was going to be a little stingy and not get this badge, I hate spending 28 gems for the SE badges, I only have a few. But after reading all your experiences, the quickies and the not so quickies, lol, and after taking another look at how cute this sucker is, I’m afraid I’ll have to go get it now and try my luck….sigh… and the icon is surely a cute one, I may have to trade out my owl for it, and I luvvvvve owls. :)

I’m baaaaaaack! I got a ghost in 5 min but he gave be 460. Took another 45 minutes to get another one, now my owl is proudly sporting his Halloween ghost costume, LOL.

I do buy badgses. I only spend them on Mix-n-Match badges? PBAs. I do spend them on the minii items. I would rather save them and just spend them on the book or mix n matches. I guess if they came donw in price I would buy mini’s but I think they are to expensive to waste on the mini’s when you can use your tokens and buy the other mini items.

tlc, nope you can only buy the m and m’s for your account, unless you buy someone gems for themselves, but you would have to get into their account to get the gems for that person..havent gotten the badge on my main account, workin on it sporatically on another hehe

I got my badge pretty fast as well… played for -maybe- 10 minutes. I would have liked it to last a little bit longer, but im not going to complain. I think its so cute too! While I make it a point to get all of the special edition badges (save for the very first one :( ) and wear them right away… I usually do not like the icon… though I love this one and the one for last year too (had that one on until I won this new one)

Wow great job all!! I was not so lucky. It took me about 4 hrs to get this badge. The first ghost I got in the evening and it took about a half hour and it gave me 490 tokens. It took me 3 1/2 hrs to get the 2nd ghost and the other 10 tokens. It also took my friend over 3 hrs and he was stuck at 475. It took him 3 ghosts to get all his tokens!

This was a pretty neat game for a Limited Edition. It took me 45 minutes and two ghosts to accomplish the goal, however, I also lit two lanterns and gained 8400 tokens during this 45 minutes of play. Well worth the gems, the challenge and time it took. This is a keep plugging along with the spins type of game, so dont give up too soon and dont get frustrated with not getting the ghost quickly like others have. The tokens add up too.

lol look guys telling me they only do Special Edition on the holidays… pls look at the history.
Jan New Years SE, Feb Valentines, March St Pats, Apr Easter, May MOthers Day, June Fathers day, July 4th of july, hmm don’t see Aug, Sep Anniversary (they do it every year), Oct Halloween, Nov ThxGiving, Dec X-mas .. so ya everymonth or close enough. In anycase, I am tired of pogo calling a monthly badge SE only because it’s double the price (well close to double) of MMs and only available for 2-3 weeks.

Three hours for the first ghost, got 180. It’s been about two hours and I’m still waiting for a second ghost… It was fun for a while, but I’m ready to get my badge now! :) The upside is that I didn’t get my Rank 10 badge before, and I’m significantly closer to it now! LOL

Earlier this month, I believe beginning Oct. 1 in the heading of the Pogo home page there was an ad for Spooky Slots and when you opened it, it said you could enter the sweepstakes to win (can’t recall the prize) from Oct. 12 through the end of the month by playing Spooky Slots. The ad is no longer there now that it is the 12th and I was just wondering if anyone knows more information about this. Love the site, just discovered it last week. I was not going to get the Halloween Badge but after reading the comments left here I took another look and paid my 28 gems. I am holding off playing because I want to learn more about the “sweepstakes” first.

I am one of the few who will not be buying this badge. I feel we pay enough to belong to Pogo and can’t see buying (Special Edition) badges. They cost to many gems. I might buy badges if they cost less. I do buy some gems but save them for really special backgrounds or goodies. Thank you so much for your site. I don’t know how I could survive Pogoland without you.

Personally, I bought the badge. It was the first Limited Edition anything I have ever bought and it was just so darned cute. I can justify a cute badge over some mini with shaking hips or dancing unicorns in the background. Just my opinion.

Really cute badge took me about an hour an a half and two ghosts but did notice the pumpkins are coming up way more for the story lines. Used to hardly ever see them when they first added ranks.wish these badges were someting you could buy as a gift like the albums though.

OK maybe I didnt read it right someone posted a ? on the main pogo sight complaining about the halloween badges costing gems she asked if they ever do any that dont cost Gems for a super badge and the reply she got was well look at the Halloween badge you will be surprised or something like that. I took that to assume it cost Tokens not Gems.. Was I wrong to assume that from the letter posted ?

It took me many spins, like hundreds of spins just to get that badge! Getting ghosts WAS hard to come by. I tell ya……ugh! Never doing that again, one time was hard enough and I already had completed the game. So whats the point?
