Fairy Godmother Tycoon fans, make sure you’re firmly seated for this one, it’s a disappointment to say the least:
This week’s Letters to the Editor was full of bombshells! Check out this partial letter and the Editor’s response regarding the rumored Fairy Godmother Tycoon 2/Unlocked/Premium:
Thanks for all the work you do at Pogo and keep the great games coming. By the way, when are we getting a new download game? I loved Fairy Godmother Tycoon and I know a TON of Pogo players that loved it as well. Any chance we will see a Fairy Godmother Tycoon 2 maybe with ranks/badges/mini items?

…As for Fairy Godmother Tycoon… I, too, thought it was a lot of fun, but alas, there will be no a sequel.
When all references to FGT2 were removed from Pogo’s development servers, we suspected the worst and now months later it has been confirmed: it’s been canceled. We may never know the details of why or how it happened, but we can tell you that some graphics were created and Pogo’s development team had started work on the game, but then someone huffed and puffed and blew the whole game right out of existence.

Maybe Pogo has finally realized that while this type of game has a niche audience, the facts remain that Crazy Cakes, Makeover Madness, Diner Dash Family and Operation Mania (all the same type of game) are among the least played on their site. Have to admit, I still enjoy playing Operation Mania, but I can see why they would can it.

lol, that was my letter to the editor. I had been writing to him for what seemed like months trying to get him to tell us what is up with Fairy Godmother. Since he had asked for an amazing one day badge count total, I figured my 30 badges would be good enough to maybe finally get posted. I figured he would just cut that whole line of text out of letter but alas, he answered it and I was really disappointed. At least I was able to finally get an answer straight from pogo! That makes me happy :)

aaawww maaann!!! This bites, I really love the original. Oh well life goes on, there will be other great games to come :) .

i am rally sad that there will be no fairy godmother tycoon 2 i was so looking forward to it that i played #1 again and my granddaughter loves it also with that being said its time to move on

We need Fairy Godmother to cast a magic potion on the managers at Pogo. They need to come to their senses, reverse their decsion, and deliver by popular demand, a part 2 of Fairy Godmother Tycoon!!!!
