Spooky Slots is Back

ugh! No more ranks?!!? Bleh :( I’m such a badge ho that I need to have a badge to work toward to play a game lol

yuck!i do not care for the game, so no biggie here, if ranks were added, id definitely be playing

Halloween brings back good memories. I even went trick-or-treating last year with the neighborhood kids! (sheet over my head LOL)
Disappointed no ranks were added. How hard is it to add them? Still a fun slots game in my book.

Spooky Slots let me clear my stats and start over with 0 rank. Dont know if I can earn another badge or not.

Since there are no new ranks I wont be playing it til its for a badge I mean one of the weekly badges pogo always make the week of halloween not one I have to pay to work on

I’m with the majority. You won’t catch me playing it unless it’s for a badge. I find all the slots games boring, no matter what time of year or what the story line is!

On the plus side, I got my Halloween cards made last weekend and in the mail! Woohoo!!

WOW i was shocked to see that it is out.. I was able to play a lil bit of it last year but not much… but i’m going 2 work on rankin out in that game i love the badge that u get for it.. it’s just 2 cute.. Good luck 2 all

PS ~ I totally believe that POGO somehow removed their plans to add more ranks/badges. They *did* say they were adding 10 ranks per year. I remember it and wouldn’t complain for nothing LOL.

I love this game, but generally don’t like slots games – lol! I also remember that we were supposed to get new badges every year along with new ranks, but oh well, they’ve been pretty busy at Pogo. I always reset my stats and play this game 3/4 times while it’s available, love the sound effects, this is one game I keep the sound on when playing – I just put my feet up, grab the good book I’m reading at the time and push the mouse button – lighten up everyone, games are supposed to be for fun and relaxation I think. Enjoy all you newbies here! Lura I keep sending messages to players who have no TrivialPursuit/CrosswordCove badges in their badges. Thanks for all your good work and same to your “helpers”.

fier666 #17 the badge is still there i did it today not sure what m&m book it was i just clicked on the game and hit badges for this game and it came up for the 5 spins gl on finding it. i feel so so about the game comming out

i don’t recall them saying they would be adding 10 ranks per year, or any more ranks for that matter. i remember the Letter to the Editor that lura cited, but nothing else. then again, slots is slots is slots and it may have escaped my attention.

i’m sure there will be some challenge, at the very least a Limited Edition M&M for your purchasing pleasure.

Have been playing Spooky slots for more than 6 hrs. & have not even come close to getting 3 spiders so I think the Super Badge for this game is going to be a waste of gems or money. Will not be able to get spiders 5 x’s in one day.

I think SS is fun – a little whimsy to the fall! I just wish it would tell me how close I was to the next rank as I’d like to get to 10 this year. (Thank Lura for the heads up and the early start!)

I was really excited to see the leaked backgrounds, but I get an error when I try to buy them. Oh well, I’ll be playing the slots until they release them for real this time!

I think we will all need help when this mix and match badge comes out (get 3 spiders 5 times in one day). I have been playing for about 2 hours and have not got 3 spiders once. I hope that they change it before it is released.

Fier: a couple people (posts 33 and 35) have played a lot and said the challenge as it is would be too hard. 45 minutes is not enough time spent to make a judgment on badge difficulty with a random, luck based game.

i like spooky slots and am ranked out they need to add new ranks its boring with out the ranks

They should make sure the badges are winnable before putting them out. Like the time they had a freecell premium that needed 30 wins in 30 minutes and changed the goal the next day. Oops! I’m sure they will have a doable badge for Spooky.

I prefer the older game before they updated with ranks. It just seems the new style slots like with Sockhop just aren’t that fun. But I think it’s because the story bonuses rarely come up.

Found the Source of the “Additional Ranks in Spooky Slots” Rumor

Hi Again,

I did some investigating today with all of the members that are so upset over the fact that we were promised new ranks in Spooky Slots. You asked me if I remembered where I saw that, and I couldn’t remember.

No one seems to remember exactly but I think I have remembered. I believe it was in one of the more popular Pogo Fan sites that said it. They announced this when they put out all the rankings etc. when you first started the new version of Spooky Slots.

I remember that the site said “And next year will be 10 more ranks and a new yearly Special Badge”. They claim always that they get it right from the Pogo sources. (whoever that would be). I feel so badly about this if it isn’t true. I hope you will all reconsider and hurry and put out 11 through 20 if you aren’t planning it now. If that was not true, what this fan site printed, then I believe they should be spoken to about this matter as so many of us are so very disappointed.

Editor: Thank you for following up on this. It’s a relief to hear this! We received a lot of letters asking us about the ranks, and nobody here could remember telling anyone that we would have additional ranks. We looked at all of our past Pogo News articles and all of our past marketing articles to see if we’d made that announcement and couldn’t find any. It’s unfortunate that this site made this statement and had so many people’s hopes up.

We will not be releasing more ranks for Spooky Slots this year.

I’m sorry and I do REMEMBER THIS Letter, But I also remember some from 2007 when the NEW look and ranks were introduced and OMG Miracles of Miracles, ALL MENTION of Spooky slots are missing from Pogo News, Letters etc except one. This is the same group that told us Tri-peaks ranks were added but we’d have to do them all over since the ARTISTS feelings at pogo were hurt if we got the 3 new badges all at once. They have an agreement with Hasblow and they are not gonna do anything else near year end but get Those games they are contractually forced too out..period. What they said is all mute unless you start taking screen shots ot every Letters and News Page. Even then it will be called a misprint etc. Pogo only admits it’s wrong on Mini stuff etc.

I do remember Pogo themselves saying each year there would be ten more ranks. I didn’t read/know of ANY fan sites at that time, and I never have the chat option on (so was not being influenced by anyone else’s speculation).

I remember thinking it was a perfect idea for Pogo to do this each year, and last year was very excited for the new ranks before they re-released Spooky Slots. It was surprising to me (because I was sure they were going to have more ranks, etc.) that they weren’t having anything new, and actually seemed to have ‘forgotten’ they’d originally said anything about it.
