Does pogo have some new artists? The badge for slots looks very different from the other new ones we have been getting….reminds me of an old cartoon where the noses are the same.

In monopoly slots you can use the space bar instead of clicking the mouse =) Just a lil’ tip for thoses that did’nt know.

Monopoly slots went pretty fast got the badge in 30 minutes. Haven’t started perfect pair yet. GL everyone and happy badge day…
CC 09.16.09 at 12:07 pm
Another tip on slots is if ya do everything at max you will get done quicker.. GL
Dawn 09.16.09 at 12:10 pm
ok here is a good question how come all the reels have dice on them but when u get a dice roll it only comes up in the 2nd and 4th windows?? i am not complaining just wondering if anyone else noticed LOL got the badge in slots in about 30 minutes (with the help of a 10,400 point spin) havent started perfect pair yet
gl ev1!!

Dawn: it’s just the way Pogo made the game. Frustrating, to say the least. :)
Jonathan: I don’t know, while this new badge does look a little different, I think that’s just the way Mr. Monopoly looks. It might have been the design of someone from Hasbro to begin with. I haven’t heard of Pogo getting any new designers, but then again I don’t really have their employee roster in-hand either (it’s just not the kind of information I get). :)
nephthys 09.16.09 at 12:31 pm
Dawn: They show up in more then just the 2nd and 4th slots… there have been times where I have gotten 3 sets of dice on one spin. I think they just end up on the 2nd and 4th slots most often.
I havent started the challenges yet (since I just got on) but I’m excted about the Perfect Pair badge! I love that game and I do not think they issue enough challenges for it.
Deborah 09.16.09 at 1:07 pm
Monopoly Slots was really easy. Doing Perfect Pair Sol at the moment. Seems easy enough.
CC 09.16.09 at 1:23 pm
Question: on PPS I am on rd 3 I think and there is only 1 spade for the free card and no cards at the bottom… Ya thoughts
Lura 09.16.09 at 1:29 pm
CC: the game “rules” change each time you move around the board, due to the card you draw each time you stop. (Atg least I think this is what you’re referring to.) From the How to Play:
There are more details if you click on the How to Play button.

Not a big fan of the slots games (prefer games which require some skill) but geez…this was an “expensive” one…lost over 5,000 tokens and sat on the same space all game as I never even saw the dice…not sure what the point was! Oh yes, I have that shiny new badge, and at least it took less than an hour…LOL. Good luck to all!
Monica 09.16.09 at 2:20 pm
Got both of this weeks badges they we kind of easy good luck to everyone this week
Karen 09.16.09 at 2:51 pm
I managed to make about 5,000 tokens on the Monopoly challenge (including the badge money) but that game eats tokens like a horse and in an hour you’re lucky if you get one dice roll.
They need to add more dice stops and loosen up the slots, IMO.
CC 09.16.09 at 3:03 pm
Lura
That was what I was talking about.. The only 1 free space at the top.. I did read the how to play and that rd is hard.. Hopefully I can nail it soon
Tks :)
amie 09.16.09 at 4:01 pm
in perfect pair if you get the NO UNDO you just leave and reload the game and your undo is there again you dont have to play that game, just refresh and your set to go again
Linda 09.16.09 at 4:22 pm
Got both badges in less than 1 hour. In Monopoly slots change rooms if you don’t seem to be making headway. This usually helps. Good Luck and Have Fun.
len222 09.16.09 at 7:30 pm
It’s cost me 3000 tokens to get 1/3 of the Monopoly badge. Not fun at all…
len222 09.16.09 at 7:47 pm
Finished the Monopoly badge. Total cost was 3190 tokens. At least it didn’t take too long.
jan 09.16.09 at 8:11 pm
Both badges were fairly quick today and I’m glad Monopoly Slots was based on tokens only but, what a negative token badge! To earn 30,000 tokens plus 2000 with the badge, I think I was down approximately 10,000 tokens!
Using the spacebar to spin is probably the best tip ever for that game.
Lura, the new rank page looks terrific!
Susie 09.16.09 at 9:20 pm
I was dreading Monopoly Slots. I was about halfway through and got a 50k roll! WOO HOO! I needed it too…I was down lol. Badges were easy. Good luck all!
KAT 09.16.09 at 9:38 pm
just got done with the monopoly badge, it only took me 25 minutes, very easy to get, I ended up 120 tokens ahead after all that, and I got the dice 4 times but never made it past go. Good luck all!
Another Susan 09.16.09 at 10:56 pm
Got the Monopoly badge in 35 minutes. I ended up 8900 tokens ahead. Yippee! I got 2 roll of the dice, but never went past GO.
Plus I got 6000 for the UK Bingo. And isn’t tomorrow the Casino Night?
Now to try Perfect Pair – not one of my favorites. It’s one of the games I might play if there is a badge.
Frank 09.16.09 at 11:05 pm
Monopoly Slots is a negative-token game. I played it when it was first released and it took an entire evening to get around the board a couple of times. And, yes, you can actually earn this badge while not having a chance for your token piece advance. Thankfully I was lucky enough to get several rolls (and double sixes!) to add to the entertainment.
I probably lost about 2,000 tokens in the beginning. After playing this game, it’s usually best to run over to Yahtzee Party to quickly reclaim the lost tokens. The only saving grace is
complainingchatting with other players or find something else on your desk to keep you occupied while clicking.Penny 09.16.09 at 11:49 pm
I never got the dice 1 time either, but did manage to end up with what i started with in token count.
PPS was another fairly easy one for me…Like these kind of challenges
as leaves me a lot of time to get older ones that i missed, that take forever and a day to get.
Teresa 09.17.09 at 12:02 am
It helps if you put your line bet at 15 and your maximum bet down for monopoly slots. I made around 5,000 tokens in about 20-30 minutes and got my badge.
Kevin 09.17.09 at 1:34 am
The Perfect Pair was fairly easy. For Monopoly Slots, I went into one of the “Premium Game Ticket” rooms. Ended up ahead by 10,600 tokens.
I wish Pogo would make challenges NOT involve simple luck, such as the slots. It’s not really a challenge… unless you consider luck to be a skill.
gagscake 09.17.09 at 9:46 am
I am soooo on board with Kevin, I am extremely tired of the boring monotonous “challenges” that only involve luck and no skill. It’s time Pogo started going back to the roots of the challenges and indeed making them what the name implies. If not, then maybe they should change the name to Weekly Gimme badges.
Lura 09.17.09 at 9:54 am
/hands gagscake the Quick Quack badge from 2006 before they reduced its requirements.
:)
fier666 09.17.09 at 10:19 am
Remember guys if you lose coins in the slots that Lura so kinda added for our benifit at lest a couple million tokens worth of Trivial Pursuit and Crossword Cove anwsers so if you lost 2000-3000 or even 20000-30000 you can make it up in just a few puzzles just my little tip ok ok sorry ill go back to my corner now good luck and remember to Pogo safly and never drink and Pogo at the same time =P
jaredph 09.17.09 at 10:55 am
This week’s badges are fairly easy. Just spin away in monopoly slots, and hope that you land on a port space or get 2 free cells in solitaire. It’s easy to earn a lot or lose a lot of tokens in slots in one game, but you do earn a lot of tokens if you play it for a while (I promise!). (If you want your lost tokens back, just go to trivial, crossword, or kenopop.)
By the way, I agree somewhat with the number of luck-based challenges, but I like them more than skill ones that are extremely hard (example: try doing last week’s poppit badge without using the loophole lol), or are in games that I am not good at or don’t know how to play.
gagscake 09.17.09 at 12:37 pm
lol Lura, I’ll take it, at least it is more of a challenge. The only one I’ve grumbled about in the past was that one golf challenge several years ago, that was indeed misery lolol. :o)
Evelyn 09.17.09 at 1:01 pm
Just go with the flow on these two challenges. The games are supposed to be fun. Good Luck!
Kathy 09.17.09 at 1:46 pm
On Monopoly Slots, I got the bagde in about 20 minutes. For the first 10 minutes I won small amounts, then WOW 2 10,000 token hits.
PPS took about an hour. I agree with Fier666, you can make up lost tokens in no time do to this site. Thanks Lura. Good Luck all!!
Cyrabi 09.17.09 at 3:20 pm
Hi all, got both weekly badges. Perfect Pair was easy, use the Free Cells if you can. Monopoly Slots took a little longer (not much ;), got some good spins. In Mono Slots you can hit the spacebar instead of clicking on Spin. I wish the two dice would show up more but I did make it to Rank 8. :)
Jillian 09.17.09 at 3:38 pm
I managed to get my Monopoly Slots badge in 17 minutes and I was shocked! I even managed to go from Electric Company (near the jail) and finish up on GO. Yeah, I know, it’s all luck. Hitting that 10,100 when I had 28,740 allowed me to leave with just under 20,000 tokens. :)
As for the complaints of how easy the ‘challenges’ are, I really wish Pogo would finally break down and give those of us that are really looking for a challenge just that. In addition to the 2 weekly ‘challenges’, I think they should offer 2 monthly challenges that are REAL challenges. (i.e. win 300 Perfect games in Stellar Sweeper or play 20 full ‘years’ of Mahjong matching all 4 seasons perfectly in each game throughout the year… you get the idea).
Maybe I should write another letter to the Editor since mine got selected this week! :) (Happy, happy dance, happy dance) I was so excited to see it there and the only changes made was a referencing link and the subject line… I had “Claiming a win from Subway” and he changed it to “Hey Editor – Get Your Facts Right!” LMAO

Hi Everyone!
Happy Challenge Week! And isn’t Monop Slots a challenge indeed?? Would like to ask some advice please? What Java Version is everyone using? I keep going back to Version 13 because I seem to do better in the slots, but not as well in the other games…anyone have an opinion on that? I already know that Version 14 is poopy so bother with that tip, lol
I LOVE PPS. Just wish it paid more!! Oh that ALL of the games paid more, but do think that Pogo needs to do an Eco Restructuring on the Token Payouts…hmmm Some of the games pay waaaayyyy too much and some pay waaayyyy too little and Perfect Pair is one of them. Guess that’s why there is NEVER anyone in the rooms unless it’s Challenge Day?
LOVE Mono Slots though, just wish I could nail down the right version of Java and I’m really hoping someone can tip me off here. So I’ll check back later and see what anyone has to say. :) Thanking you in advance!!
Lura, before I sign off, wanted to tell you HOW MUCH I LOVE THE NEW PAGE!!!!
Being able to see all the Badges and Ranks for each Game was so much work!!! I’m sure you are relieved it’s done, but you MUST BE proud of it!! I’m PROUD FOR YOU!! Grateful to you too!!!
Let’s hear it for LURA and her NEW PAGE!!! WTG!!! WOOHOOOO!!! GREAT JOB!!! GREAT NEW ASSET ON THE BEST SITE FOR POGO INFO!!!
Ok, all done, lol I’ll be watching for that tip on the Java Version some of you use, so don’t disappoint me. Could mean the difference in whether I lose alot of tokies getting the Monop Slots badge! ROFL
HAGD everyone! :)
(((HUGS to All)))

Kat: since I’m trying to keep side-chatter to a minimum on these non-open thread postings, you will undoubtedly get a better response to your Java version question if you come back tomorrow and ask in the Weekend Open Thread. ;)
Linda 09.17.09 at 5:31 pm
I got my Monopoly Slots Badge in less than 5 minutes!!! I was lucky enough to get 5 of the Guy on the Monopoly sign (after 6 no wins) and got 35,350 tokens!!!! That was the fastest badge I ever won. lol
zzingcrazy 09.18.09 at 5:20 am
lol, sorry but i’m amazed at all that complain about losing tokens!!! but goes to show you how important they are to us!!!! yes, yes, I’m one of them, I love my tokens!! as useless as they are!
both games went quick for me. love pp, but bores me after awhile, so i usually only play during badges. MS……..lol great token payouts…..sometimes….but boring!! I’m not a slots person, neither on pogo or the casino.
Deborah 09.18.09 at 10:58 am
Anyone else having problems with the Perfect Pair Sol game. I have completed 7 games then the screen freeezes, so it doesn’t count.
I have contacted Pogo but it is still happening to me. I could’ve finished my badge on day one! :(
