It’s been another busy week here at BadgeHungry and in Pogoland! We’ve been chatting up a storm in the following threads:

I also added a metric crapton of free tokens (or, well, at least over 65,000) to the Free Tokens Page this week, so go grab those if you haven’t already.

This week, let’s talk about those precious, precious tokens. How many do you have? Do you think they represent someone’s “overall score” at Pogo or are they worthless? Do you enter the drawings with them? What do your tokens mean to you?

Hi, I just wanted to ask quickly for help. I am doing the professional popper m&m badge (pop every balloon 3 times) for poppit. Does anyone have any tips on how to get that one? I have been having trouble with it for awhile now. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

bryan, the best advice i can give is threefold: keep looking for a puzzle with 2 stars (both power-ups)–click New Game till you get one. secondly, make very good friends with that Undo button (or right-click). and my last tip is try to eliminate one color at a time in its entirety if you can, but do not leave one balloon of a certain color all alone on one side of the puzzle without another balloon or balloons of the same color somewhere nearby.
tokens, shmokens. they really don’t mean much to me. i don’t enter the drawings because i have a rainbow’s chance in hades of winning. i do like messing around with my mini so i spend a great amount on that. otherwise, they just seem to attract trouble: “you have so many tokens, you must cheat”. i’m coming up on 37M, i’m trying to get to 40M simply because i really don’t like the number 3, lol. after that, i doubt i’ll care that much.

In regards to Poppit, I had an extremely hard time with this, someone suggested to me to take a certain colour of balloons and pop all of those, and then select another colour and do the same again. Also, remember there is no time limit, plan ahead, and use the undo button as much as you need to in order to correct mistakes.
In regards to tokens, I now have 101,598,410. I worked hard for those, quite a lot came from Poker aswell. My two goals in Pogo have always been to reach 1000 badges and 100 million tokens, have achieved both of those now and working on the next 1000 badges. Tokens are worthless apart from buying things in the mini mall. The only prize drawing we have in the UK is for a £15 shopping voucher, considering I spent £40 a year on Pogo and at least £100 on gems and Premium Badges I hardly think it worth entering the drawing, especially with the low chances of winning.

Forgot to add, I checked the drawings, you don’t even need tokens to enter the drawing, its completely free, so other than the mini mall there is nothing for us in the UK to spend them on

Weighing in at 26 million here. I’ve apparently spent 1 million at the mini mall. No drawings for me, thanks. I’ve seen enough comments in chats to know they’re also worthless. For me, having spent the last 10 years of my life accumulating that ridiculous sum, it’s a matter of self-satisfaction. The way some people go on (and on) about Pogo cheating them (most recently, CC) and this and that, you’d think they were talking about real money. I do wish you could purchase gems with them, but that would cut into Pogo’s gem income, I suspect. Although, up to now, they haven’t gotten a penny of gem income out of me.
No help, I’m afraid, Bryan. Just a matter of luck and persistence. I’ve seen word to that effect posted by several people here in the past. Sometimes when I’m down to 3 or 5 I’ve been able to rework the ending to 0 by undoing a few moves – maybe more than once. Good luck!
Note to Lura: in the case of a daily payout for a limited time by visiting a certain game, could you put that on the home page while it lasts? I don’t visit the free tokes page everyday (maybe I should…) so don’t always pick up on those from the first day on. Thanks for a wonderful site! I’ve become a regular since someone mentioned your site in a chat a while back.

Bryan #1 use undo liberally as you go to clear as many balloons as you can in one pop. Save power ups and use them at the end.
Tokens to me are pretty useless. Being in the UK means I can only use them in the mall so whilst I say they are pretty useless I wouldn’t want to be without them totally…lol
I have 17.5 mill or thereabouts.

Candi: I’ve considered putting an informational box on the home page that points out daily free token offers and anything currently of note. With that said, I am busybusy with another project (for BadgeHungry, which I know you all will love) and don’t have time to mess with it. I have been using my twitter feed to point out when new token offers are added and I also update the BadgeHungry sidebar link with the date the last offer was added. If you just check the offers when you notice the date changes you’ll be alerted to anything you may want to schedule for yourself as a daily event. I know it’s not perfect, but it works for now.

drawings are not worthless, as u can win stuff from it…i enter them alot and use tokies in mini mall hehe..i worked hard for them, so to me, they r not worthless..just because 1 or a few havent won anything by entering the drawings, does NOT mean that u cannot be a winner too..as saying goes..never know til u try it

Personally, I find the tokens to be worthless. Granted, I can buy a selective amount of items in the mini-mall. But, really, we all know the badges are where it’s really at. :)

I think tokens are wonderfully useless. Having a bunch does give the impression that you have played a lot and are maybe a pretty good player. But not always. If I am going to browse through some profiles while working on a boring challenge, I tend to go first to the folks with a lot. Personally, I bounce between holding onto them and spending wildly at the mall or on contests – you might not win if you enter, but you for sure won’t if you don’t! So, whatever my mood, tokens tend to be another fun part of Pogo.

i have 48,035,906 i love tokens i play in super texas holdem so ya need alot for that game other then that i just like to see the number go up lol. well happy weekend everyone will be on and off alot of school shopping this weekend. school starts on 8/25 its going to be great i think the kids are ready to go back. thanks lura for everything you do!!!

Hellooo! I am so excited about this weekend. I thought I was going to have to work but I found out last night that I don’t. I feel so free! My mom recently provided me with all the deluxe games Pogo offers and I haven’t had the time to play any of them. That’s probably what I’ll be up to this weekend since I got the days off on too short of notice to actually plan anything.
I have 8,776,401 tokens. When I first joined Pogo in 2001, I didn’t play as much as I do now. I had school and my mom only let me have an hour of internet a day. I definitely thought of tokens in an “overall Pogo score” kind of way. I was 13, I couldn’t win money, and a gift card didn’t sound as fun, so I never spent my tokens. I really wanted to save them and have millions, so people would know I was a “Pogo veteran.” Silly. When I see people with millions and millions of tokens, I never assume they are cheaters. I always figure they’re either really good at poker, they’ve been a member for a long time, or both! Sometimes I see people with like 40 million tokens that joined around the time I did, and I wonder how many tokens I’d have now if I had played a lot back then. I think it’d be fun to enter them all in a drawing. Not because I want to win, but because I like the idea of starting over at 0. I’ll never do it though. I think I’ve grown a bit attached to them.

and if u have played alot, thats your choice, its not up to us to be like omg they play alot blah blah i think its stupid to judge anyone because they have alot of tokens..what does it matter to us if they do or dont..some ppl whether anyone realizes or cares, are disabled and do not get out or cannot get out..i for one get out, but seldom and do spend ALL my time on pogo because it helps me and is relaxing…what, u gonna tell me omg you have sooooooooo many tokens i bet u cheat??hmmm

I have done the drawings a couple of times. Never won nothing though but i don’t give up on trying.. I totally agree with tigger (8) I also use my tokens in the mini mall, Sometimes I get spending hungry lol and have to go play Trivia Pursuit or something 2 get my tokens back up 2 count lol. I love playin on pogo.. I also worked hard to get the tokens i have doing the mix and match and buying the badge albums playin Trivia Pursuit and Scrabble and just playin the games i love on here i have a total of 25,169,059 Tokens.. So one thing i must say that my Mom has always said 2 me.. Never Give Up Trying. Keep Trying Until You Suceed!!! Happy Pogo’ing Everyone :-)

i have a 3-5 minute lag between moves in monoply, is there any way this can be fixed. ths is the only game I’m having problems with as fafr as I know at this point.

Just one question, has anyone figured out the scoring for CC as it never matches the tokens it says you won. Tokens are just about half of what it says u won. Love this site, thanks for all the help

mary: that sounds terrible. I suggest you contact Pogo support and describe your problem to them. I hope they can help — and I hope you can still get this week’s badge!
hillbilly: oh yes, that’s been discussed and beaten to a pulp on the Crossword Cove thread shortly after its release. Pogo claims they’re aware of the problem and working on it. Some people claim that there’s a limiter on the tokens and you can get around it by waiting 10-14 minutes (or some silly arbitrary number) before submitting your puzzle. Either way, the token payout in that game is totally broken.

Bryan – play on easiet level, and I agree, keep hitting new game until you find the puzzle with 2 stars on it for the powerups, use them with caution! Wait till the very end, and most importantly, take your time, eventually you will get there. I do know some people that just cant do it, no matter what they try, and they usually end up getting a friend to do the badge for them. I would say try this technique first, and then if you still cant do it, ask a good friend, someone you trust to help you out, and always change your password after they finish it. ( just to stay safe ). Have a great weekend all!

Hi all ! First of all I want to say “Thanks” to Lura and her helpers for this site. I found it about 2 months ago and I love it. Especially the CC and Trivia pages! I have been an avid POGOer since 2001 and Club POGO member since it’s inception. I am currently at 13+ million tokens and have only bought a few thing @ mini mall.

I have just over 37.5 mil that I haven’t spent lol. Total earned is at least twice that. I couldn’t find that info. It used to be on one of the profile tabs. I’m trying to catch up to a friend in tokes…so close…less than a million to go! It helps that she doesn’t play TP lol.
hillyilly #18: I’ve found that if i enter the last letter at over 14 minutes, not only do I get the full amount, but a few extra!

Mary, are you playing with bots, and if so did you choose to ignore all trade offers from one or all of them? I didn’t have a single problem with monopoly until I got tired of computer_3 trying to trade some measly amount of money for Montreal every time it was his turn. So I clicked yes to ignore all of his offers and right after that I started having the exact problem you described. If you’re ignoring trade offers, try restarting the game and just click no. If that’s not what you’re doing, then I’m afraid I don’t have any other suggestions. Good luck!

Oh wow, forgot to mention that after I did what I suggested Mary does (restart game, don’t ignore all trade offers), the game didn’t freeze once and I had no trouble whatsoever.

This may sound maudlin, but I have been thinking about it for some time. You may not know the answer, but, what happens to my pogo account when I am no longer able to keep it (incompasitated, nursing home, death, etc.). I don’t keep personal or credit card info on my account except for the week of my renewal date. I understand if that info is not there and it is not renewed, it becomes a non-club member user name. Does pogo purge accounts which have not been used for a specific time or does it just hang out there in cyber space for all iternity?

ugh everyone WHINES bingo for frickin sure!!i HATE this game, will NEVER play it again, EVER..i went into a NON passing room, and omg this person went bonkers cause we didnt make goal, not enough wilds passed, i was like go to a passing room and holy crap!!ud think these ppl would stop whining but nope, not even in a non passing room will they stop whining..i now hate everyone WHINES bingo lol

Doug – just saw that answer the other day, think in Pogo News. Once an account is opened it stays there forever.
I will hit 37 millions tokens today or tomorrow, and that’s after spending over 1.1 million in the mini mall. I’ve been a member since Oct 28, 2004 and spend a lot of time on Pogo…LOL
I was very careful about spending my tokies in the mini mall until I hit 35 million. Up to that point they were very important to me. I don’t know why it was that point where they stopped being so important.
I still get excited when I hit the next million, but not like I used to :)
I would go on a shopping spree but most of the stuff offered is just not me. I would love just a plain pair of navy or black shorts, not orange or purple…LOL And most of their bathing suits just don’t look well on a 57 year old with gray hair. I did buy that beautiful coral reef background, but have nothing to wear with it yet :)
Right after Jeff & I found Pogo (before there was Club Pogo) we entered all the drawings, every day without fail. We weren’t ever lucky enough to win, but we tried. But considering the amount of people that play it’s almost like trying to win the lottery. But you can’t win if you don’t try.
When I joined Club Pogo I created a new ID and haven’t entered a drawing since. Jeff had passed away and I just couldn’t play using our old names. And that’s when I started spending so much time on Pogo and started collecting tokens. I used to look at someone who had 10 million and wondered how they had gotten that many, and how long it would take me to reach that goal.
I never look at a person with a lot of tokens and assume that they cheat. I figure that they just spend as much time, or more, on Pogo as I do. And a lot of them play poker, and we all know you can win, or lose, a bundle in that game.
My new goal is 100 million and figure I can get there in about 7 more years, unless they start filling the mini mall with things I like :)
I purchase all of the premium badges and albums and will redo the badges in the games I really like. That adds a lot of tokens to my account.

#26 doug: from what i read recently in one of the Letters ot the Editor, your inactive pogo accounts just linger in the stratosphere like Frank Poole in 2001: A Space Odyssey. nothing gets purged. indeed, i tried a name i knew i had way back in my AOHelL days–it’s still there, but i don’t remember the password and my AOL email is gone so i can’t get the reminder.

I just started my account on pogo in June. So I have only a pittance of tokens. I have been working my butt off trying to catchup trivia pursuit, daily word search and now crossword cove. Thank you and all your many helpers who have provided all these answers for the rest of us to use. I’m forever in your debt. When I play everyone whines I try to go to an empty room. You pass all the cones to yourself and they all count. And you don’t have to put up with the whiners. Have a good weekend all. BTW I’ve gotten 11 3 month passes and 1 Scrabble apple game using the codes on 4 different e-mail accounts. GL everyone and stay safe.

These weekend threads are great — lots of info and insight. Tokens are silly fun and it would certainly be wonderful to use them for gems or badges. I gave up on professional popper badge and totally ignore the cuckoo for cocoa puffs who freak over bingo/passing. Seriously, is this an issue??? Can any of my fellow pogoholics / pogoists / pogotonians give me some pointers on bowling? I get the odd strike, lots of spares and some really bizarre splits. Would love to complete badges for turkeys and 200+ scores. Thanks all.

Marieanne, when i bowl and i usually get 200 or plus, i start with my ball on 2nd arrow from right, then aim it left of head pin, between #1 and #2, just before it gets there i right spin it by clicking and holding right mouse button, i have gotten 1- 300 game, but grrrrrr I was bowling in my daughters sn, so she has the 300, lmao, anyways thanks for all tips and what a great site for info, tokens may be good , but they sure arent if you dont spend them, never won any drawings, but i was lucky back in 2004 and hit a jackpot in WWWhackdown for over $2000 and change. and pogo even sent it to me, have a great weekend all @@@

Marianne – try moving the ball 1 spot to the right or the left, depending on which way your ball curves.
Crossword Cove – if you wait until 14:30 on the timer you will get all you tokens, plus 200 extra if it’s today’s puzzle.

Marianne – go to http://www.pipstips.info for bowling help. Very simple site that shows you where to bowl from and where to aim. It still takes practice, but you will notice improvement (less splits) right away.
Just passed 12,000,000 tokens and like Susan #28, I still get excited when I reach a new million mark.
Only one 3 month freebee so far from subway, but make sure to try the daily code every day.
Thanks to Lura and all the helpers, I now check this site more than once a day, especially on badge day for hints.

Well i have 38+ million tokens close to 50 million lifetime.I used to spend them on the weekly drawings,but have long time quit that.So i just spend them in the Mini Mall as i have almost every thing there is.And being a shut in pretty much,i enjoy my mini.I change her every day.And i get a lot of the men’s to.I don’t do the whiners games either to much DRAMA for me.
On Crossword i wait the full 15 min and get it all plus bonus.
What do you need for Poker Badge? I’m willing to help.

I know I’ve said this before, but tokens for me replace shopping. I’ve never been much of a retail shopper as I hate crowds, but finding myself basically in the poorhouse thanks to (now) years of unemployment (someone should have warned me away from engineering!) I sometimes miss the ability to go out and get something cute once in a while. With tokens on club Pogo I can buy and buy and buy! In fact, release Thursdays I tend to buy just about everything and then go play TP to win it all back. ;) But it really is sort of therapeutic right now – I can’t get my hair changed, but my Mini’s can be purple. Online I have new clothes every week and interesting places to “visit.”
My only beef is that the gecko they have is not a very good one and is not any of the kinds we have. “We” don’t trust those up in the daytime, insurance selling geckos. (The vast majority of geckos are nocturnal and don’t sell insurance.) ;) I stick with the “scaling lizard” or the little dragon mini award.

Kiki are you sure your AOl email is gone. I cancelled mine many years ago and I can still go to AOL and click on mail and get it. Usually filled with Spam but on a rare occassion I find something personal from someone who didn’t use new addresses. Worth trying….
And just a comment about CC. Not an avid crossword player it has occurred to me that the UK card layout is different than the US one. Is that unique with UK crosswords or just a coincidence?

tami: yes! We’ve got the live Blizzcon feed up on our television. I’ve been playing less and less WoW lately (life/priorities are shifting) but I plan to always play casually a few times a week at the least. Cataclysm is going to be fantastic!

I only just found badgehungry a couple of weeks ago and truly enjoy the site .. have told friends about it. One area that I seem to see a lot of posters comment about is cheaters. While Im really just a casual pogo player [I still work and stay pretty busy working on personal projects], Im curious about this cheating aspect. Far as I can tell [find], cheating is NOT permitted on pogo yet it does persist. Is pogo REALLY serious about their stopping it? I doubt it but I support any effort to rid the games from those cheaters .. kinda-sorta takes the fun out of it anyway [for the cheaters], right? Or am I missing something? OK, Ill shut up .. for now. Will be interesting to read others spin on cheating. Cheers from Texas!

Bryan – Look me up on Pogo – MomsBassetHound – send me pogo mail and we will set up a time.
We can get the 11 hand one in a few minutes. You go into low rollers and can do a private table for just 2 people. All I have to do is fold after a couple on cards and you will win the hand.
The one where you have to get a straight or better will take longer b/c you need to get the right cards, but it’s still faster in low rollers with just 2 people, especially 1 that is willing to lose :)

I’ve been playing at Pogo since February and am at 4 million tokens. I’m addicted to the badges and started buying M&M and albums about 4 or 5 months ago so my token count is going up fairly quickly. I’ve never entered in the weekly drawings but I’ve recently been spending a lot of my tokens at the mini mall. Lately they have had a lot of items that I really like.
I do have a question and I hope someone can help me with this. Last week I decided to try one of the downloadable games that you can play through Pogo. I did the 1 hour trial and enjoyed it so I decided to purchase the game. After entering all of my information I got a message that said – “Oops. Something is not right.” I checked my info several times and still kept receiving the message.
I finally sent an email to customer support to find out what the problem was and after verifying that my info was correct, my card was valid, that I lived in the US and sending a screen shot, I got an email back saying that I probably just entered something incorrect. After that there has been no more help. This is really frustrating and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with the downloads and what was done to resolve the problem.

I have over 9,000,000 tokens working my way up to 10 million. Tokens for me are just fun and I spend them at the mini mall but no where else really. If I see someone with a lot of tokens, I think they have been on pogo a long time or play a lot of poker.
Today I had a good chuckle playing trivial pursuit, I wondered if pogo realized that three questions were asked twice. I wondered if pogo didn’t realizie it and how many letters they will get about it.
Finally warm here in MA, but of course summer starts to come when I start teaching again September 1, but at least I get a few weeks of warm weather.

Hey, just wanted to say thank you to Lura for updating the Hangman Hijinks list and John for providing the words. You guys did an amazing job and the list helps very much. That was one game I dreaded playing previously but now was able to get my first rank badge.
Can’t wait to try Minigolf Madness. I’ll be very disappointed if it’s not out on Tuesday. I’m also really looking forward to Risk, as I love board games especially when they involve some skill and thought.

Hello everyone! :) I’m fairly new to badgehungry [been browsing a few weeks] and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for getting the dreadful Super Dominoes badge? I have a friend who’s been trying to work on it, but I know she’s busy and to be honest, I’m anxious to work on other MnM badges! I’ve tried myself to get the badge 5+ times and can’t even get 1 of the needed 10 plays of 60 or more points. I’ve tried double browsing and playing with no luck.. cheaters never seem to be stopped by pogo – one player i watch has ONE BILLION 900 MILLION TOKENS i am sure they got all those the right way

As far as pogo tokens go, I am working on 12 million. It’s exciting to me to reach the next million. I view them as a measure of time and progress spent game playing and I like to be among the top token winners when I play in a new game room. I can’t remember ever being in a room where a player was accused of cheating if their token count was high, but I am sure it has probably happened. Envy sometimes brings out the ugly side of people.
I use them as follows:
1.My sister is a pogo member that lives about a thousand miles from me and we like to one up each other with the tokens.
2. My grandduaghter and I go shopping at the mini mall when she visits. It is a hilarious and enjoyable afternoon spent outfitting “gamma” and making up stories to go with the more outrageous minis she designs for me.
3. I hoarde the rest in the hopes that one day pogo will offer some of the older badges for tokens instead of gems.

I love my tokens, I have almost 44 million and yess I know they are useless and all that blah blah blah, but i like to spend them at the minimall and I play a lot of Texas Holdem, super rollers, so I better have some if I want to keep playing there, winning a lot of tokens just give ppl the satisfaction of the win something like saying wow I won 1 million today! and just the same as saying wow I finally got this badge. People keep saying why u care about tokens they are useless, well same as asking why u care about badges they are useless too, got the idea? Im a badge addict and I love to have a lot of tokens too. What Ive noticed is that people that keep saying tokens are worthless are the ones that cares more about them lol. Have you ever seen ppl with over 200 millions (or more) saying that they are worthless but saying NO if you ask to give a few to someone with less than 1 million?? I have, lots of times, soo pleaseeee dont keep saying you don care about them and that they are useless.

Hey everybody.. Ive been coming here for a while (bookmarked :) but never commented.. as far as tokens, whenever I remember (which isnt often), Ill buy 1 ticket in each drawing for 100 tokens/ticket.. so it doesnt really affect my token total, and I dont feel bad when I dont win lol

regarding the CC and timelimit…to get all the tokies you are owed….if you mean at 14 minutes after you start the game….it doesnt work for me…Some puzzles take me an hour to complete, others take longer, cuz I tend to doze off in the middle of them..lol
And I ALWAYS get my tokens shorted by the exact amount of my jp spin.

I have a little over 105M tokies. Like Dan I had a goal of 1000 badges and 100M tokies. I worked real hard for them too and yes, I play a LOT of poker. I dont really care what people think anymore as far as how I get them. Im also tired of people calling cheat just because someone has a lot of tokies. Ive gotten 75+ words in a game of Boggle, but oh no, Im cheating ~ grrrrrrrrrrrrrr LOL. The Poppit Show is another HUGE tokie maker but do people know that? So anyway, for me its a status thing at this point to have that many tokies as they are pretty worthless. I had a lot more at one point but gave them to my BF when he lost his account LOL. Plus when you are in a room and have 100-109, it shows up as 00-09, but once you hit 110 it looks like you have only 10M so pffffffffft LOL. I dont have it in me to rack up to 200M. POGO has become very mundane and boring for me lately. Guess once you hit your goals its not all that exciting. Id love to be able to get more badges with them thats for sure. Thats my true addiction. I do spend a LOT in the mini mall and its nice not to have to worry. I do NOT enter any drawings for many reasons.

I save up the tokens so I can satisfy my shopping addiction in the Mini Mall. (Its less of a hassle than trying to figure out where Im going to put it all.) When my token count goes down, I head to TP to build it up again.
I also like to have enough before heading to the slots. (Learned down in AC to always bet the max for a larger payout. Plus I dont have to deal with customs just to hit the casino across the river.)

Nearly at 25 million tokens, with a 35 million lifetime total. So that means Ive spent over 7 million on mini outfits…and I STILL never have anything to wear!

To sarah and the download problem–I too purchased a few downloadable games when they were on 1/2 price sale. I couldnt get them to play online with chat. I tried pogo for help and oberon as well. All the activation was good, pogo asked me 1000 questions about ISP, etc. Then…i was going thru googling for vista help…actually used words vista gaming…found a site called AutoPogo1.com. It has a section on resolving downloaded games, specifically Vista. I followed all the steps and surprise, it worked. It helped with firewalls and other aspects that were keeping my game from connecting with pogo chat, and most importantly, the tokens i craved. GL

monopoly was screwing up for me yesterday also. i just could not trade with the bots, i wanted a light blue and offered the horse two oranges giving him a set NO DEAL, offered two greens giving a set NO DEAL, offered far too much cash to the point that my cash deal was deemed excessive STILL NO DEAL, in the end i just gave up on deals and raced round as quick as i could….

I do not enter the drawings…I have over 58 million tokens and thats not including the almost 10 million Ive spent in the mini mall and some losses in poker. They just assure me that I can buy everything that comes out in the mini mall…but boy my closet is so vast it is ridiculous.I sure wished pogo would add tabs to our closets so we could separate backgrounds by seasons. I also have over 1400 badges now and just love adding to that number.

Happy Saturday Lura – Everyone! Been Pogoing since 2001 and accumulated 48M spendable tokens to date. Can’t locate the lifetime tokens anymore. It’s strange what Pogo decides what information & features are & isn’t important to us as players. I know I have at least 18M more that at one point was not planning on returning to play at Pogo, so I cashed in on drawings (and won nothing), and no idea what I have spent at the mini mall. But like Susan (#28) there isn’t much there for me. I have written the editor numerous times begging for some more *real people* shorts, skirts, slacks & tops, but alas, we get mermaids & fairies….lol
Laura (#31) Unless things have changed how it works (which I doubt) since I finished that ?$*!% EW Bingo passing badge – passing wilds to yourself unfortunately DOES NOT count toward that badge. I was sooo grateful to have finished that stinking badge….hehe

I have more then 18 million tokens and I feel happy with it. I’m playing at pogo from november 2006, so not bad I think ;-) I realy love to play at pogo and spend a lot of time but who cares, when you have fun!
I’m disapointed I can’t do with drawings or other things where you can win prizes, because I live in The Netherlands ans it’s only for people in US and Canada and sometimes UK. I hope pogo will change this rules sometimes.
I hope also that you can buy badges for your tokens, that would be nice isnt it?

First, to everyone: I closed the Subway thread. I’m not going to approve any comments with questions about it here. I’ve been more than patient this week, but seriously I’ve had it with the repetitive questions and people just not reading the post and comments when the answers are all right there for you. It spoiled the fun and giving spirit of the whole thread.
Phil: I know it’s been a while since you asked (well, a lot of comments, at least) but… I know we’ve talked about cheating a lot on this web site. Try using the search in the right sidebar and search for ‘cheating’ or ‘autos’ — check out the Boggle-related comments especially. That might give you a little insight.
I personally believe Pogo isn’t doing much about the cheating, but then again I don’t see it as the big problem many others do. I love the wording on their help page, though:

I’ve just decided (after posting that i’d never do it) that I’m going to use all my tokens to enter a drawing so I can start over. Starting over from 8 million isn’t really a big deal, especially considering the amounts some of you guys have, but it’s taken me a long time since I don’t play Pogo that often and I don’t like poker. I think I’ll try to get to 10 million first, but after that, they’re gone! Wish me luck!

i am not sure if this is the place, i went to the free token page and clicked on the first 3 links. i got the 60,000 tokens and then i went to play a game and they were gone. i refreshed and sign out and then in. whats up with this?

Monopolpy -
A week ago pogo sent me a letter the the problems with Monopoly were fixed. But, when I tried for this week badge it was easy to see that it was not. so, after many attemps I decided to double browse.
I tworked great for the badge. I also found out that you can play with just 2 people LOL never knew this before.
If anyone is having trouble getting this badge try double browing that Lura put up on the site.
Use 2 names and go to the custom tab and password required.
uncheck allow computer to fill empty seats(this allows playing with 2 names only)
also to speed game up uncheck auction unwanted properties.

Hopes this help someone out there.

David: Another case of Customer Support being wrong again! :P Actually, I noticed they (or at least Pogo_Bret) admitted there was a problem in this week’s Letters to the Editor that there was a problem (hey, at least it’s something) but it was pretty well hidden in there:
I just feel bad for the people who aren’t going to get their badge because they don’t have the patience to figure out how to play without freezing.
Also from this week’s Letters to the Editor, Bret tries to define “soon”, Mini Golf Madness is coming soon, and soon (oh there’s that word again) they’ll give us an extra personal challenge because the marathon had some technical problem and we only got one extra instead of two extra last week.

Is it just me, or have the “Letters to the Editor” and “Nettie’s” columns been filled with words like “oops”, “oversight”, “working on it”, “unexpected”, “patience” and of course the beloved *soon*…lol” & such lately? It’s either a game not working right, a missing badge, a mini item acting improperly, or a feature (block on friends list) suddenly (and STILL) not working correctly. I’m glad I’m not them & have to take the heat for everyone else’s screw ups ;)

Hi Everyone!!
I got my Mono Badge and wanted to pass along a tip that hasn’t been mentioned (that I’ve seen). What I did was check the play “fast, or fast animations, something like that”. What it does is “whip past” all the cards and notifications, lol And I do mean FAST!!
I had NO trouble getting my badge. There was no freezing whatsoever and I did auctions and everything. Wish I’d known I could have played with just two people!!! SIGH!! It was a real pain having Bot #2 constantly winning, lol Not that I cared one whit, I just wanted that badge and OUT OF THERE!! ROFL
So, give it a try if you can understand what I’m trying to say, lol Hope I explained it well enough to help. :)
I have 22.3 million tokies and LOVE each one!! Got them ALL legally, lol I look at players with ALOT of tokies with AWE!! Never does it cross my mind that they cheat, but then again I’m not a pessamistic person by nature, nor am I the jealous type. haha Do spend alot of time and tokies in the MiniMall though, meaning there would be even more to my tokies balance! Oh well!! WHAT ELSE CAN U DO W/THEM???

On the MONOPOLY badge..I was having trouble with freezing but found that the following has worked for me…and I got the badge for three ppl so far…so here it goes….Pick speedy game, you can play the bots, when they offer you a trade you must choose REVIEW then you can reject it or do the trade. If you do not REVIEW the trade, then your game will freeze for 2 minutes several times during a game. Just review it and your game will never freeze. Don’t reject the trade without viewing it first….Good Luck.

Lura, THANKS to you and to folks on here for helping us to play and win our badges plus being able to rank up!! Especially to cherie for her help on my Heart badge a couple of weeks ago and to John for his info on Hangman that helped me get a needed badge. I’ve only been on pogo since last year and on here a couple of months. I have 4,718,247 tokens (stats say 5,993,737) that are showing at present, guess I need to stay out of the mini-mall or quit trying to win the drawings, if I did that I’d have my 5M by now. Fun to shop but have touble finding things for a great-grandma in there. My daughter would spend all my tokens for me there if I would let her. She is skunkyratt, check out here mini sometime, I think she has almost everything in there. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to earn 10,000 tokens in StackEm? That would complete an album for me. No problems with getting badges this week, not sure about next week. Thanks again to all who post on here, it’s a BIG help to me!!

StackEm is not one of my favorite games, only play it for badges :)
If you play on easy you usually get at least 200 tokens a game. I don’t rush, I take my time and relax while playing it….have to make the best of it in that game…LOL
So……….unless you are lucky and get some good jp spins you are looking at about 50 games.
Make a pot of coffee, get a plate of cookies, and start playing.

Since we’re talking about tokens, I received an email from Pogo congratulating me for having reached a lifetime token of 25,000,0000 & received a new lifetime token icon. Check profile for more details. I don’t see a new icon anywhere or details on my profile. Where am I supposed to be looking?
Also, I don’t get any tokens at all in Crossword, even at 14+ minutes.

Hi. I love Poppit and I am at rank 50 for the second time, I reset my stats way back when.
I also noted the problem with Crossword Cove token payouts. I wait until I am over 13 minutes and have not noticed an underpayment of tokens since.
Question though, has anyone noted a similar problem in Poppit if you win too much, you get shortchanged on tokens? I hit new game in Poppit until I get the two power ups and I use undo alot, so I win most games I play. I have written to customer service a couple of times and I get the same answer, hang around in the room and chat, and the tokens will appear. I have argued with them that it is NOT the case. It is not like I don’t get any tokens, I just get a fraction of what I earned in the game. ARGGHHH. (They did give me a “one-time” 1000 tokens for my problem, but it in no way compensates.)

Paint: it’s not really a badge or anything, just a small “icon” that used to show in a Tokens tab when you viewed your badges in the pop-up window. Now that they’ve redesigned the profile pages, I have no idea where they’ve stuck it — I know those of you who are referencing your total tokens earned must be finding that information somewhere… anyone?

you will find the slide bar on the very bottom of the stats tab on the profile pop up window. there are small icons that mark certain milestones.

I’m not sure if there’s a better/easier way, but your lifetime tokens can be found in the stats tab while you’re in any game. When you click stats, it looks like it just shows your records for the game you are playing, but if you scroll down all the way, it shows your lifetime token amount.

I’m sure someone else has answered & hasn’t been approved yet, but….I found lifetime tokens (and the token level icon) after I posted before. It’s on the bottom of your stats page of your profile. There is you lifetime tokens & what looks like a timeline kinda thing and it has your token icons under it.

Paint ~ You have to be in a game and look at the *stats* tab … and then you will see the gem icons above your total tokens; that’s what they are talking about. Lifetime tokens as well only shows up when you are in a *stats* tab. That is minus all tokies you have lost in poker and other *gambling* games. HTH :)

Poppit is one of several games tht Pogo doesn’t give the full token amount listed if you win alot. The same thing happens in Crossword Cove (for most of us), Popfu, Wordwhomp, and Word Whomp Whackdown. I also noiticed it when we had the Turbo 21 badge.
Just play to enjoy and get free tokens to spend at the mini mall when you can.

You can still see your Lifetime Tokens if you view your Profile from within a game. Scroll to the bottom of the Game Stats.

To tcfox #74, about all those oopsies in the Letters to the Editor, etc:
I assume EA/Pogo hasn’t been immune to the economic downturn. No doubt heads rolled in their offices as they did in so many others…and some of those heads probably were in QA. With fewer people to do the work, maybe the Suits simply cut back on the amount and rigor of the testing.
A question for Lura (and anyone else who knows the answer): Have they begun the new beta session? If they haven’t, I’d guess it might be for the same reason as they cut back on QA testing.

Usually I hear from a ton of people that they got in when the first round of invitations is sent out, but so far nothing… I think the beta people — even the new ones — are just horribly disorganized when it comes to the program. I’m pretty sure they have other aspects of their jobs that take priority to the beta testing, sadly.

Stack Um wont actually be too bad… Play on the hardest lvl you can and you will earn more tokens. I play on hard (for badges like this) and it tends to go by pretty fast. I think you earn at least double what you earn on easy. Also, when you get to the last lvl… dont stack all of the stars until your about to lose so you can collect more tokens in one game.

joann (#83) the perfect pen badge in CC is 100 games with no mistakes & using no hints the first time through. I’m pretty sure that’s the criteria, I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m mistaken.
No doubt CW that is exactly what has happened with EA/Pogo and if so, then I suggest that they take a step back & get themselves in working order before taking on any more changes. Let’s fix what’s broke before adding more broke stuff that no one has time to fix…JMHO.

My biggest request to Pogo is for them to increase the ranks in all the games they already have to rank 100 for each of them. I have so many favorite games that I just don’t play anymore, unless there is a badge, because I have ranked out in them. It is always more fun to play a game if you have a goal to reach. It shouldn’t take that much time or money for them to increase the ranks.
I have 54,835,502 tokens. I used to play them in the drawings, but stopped a long time ago when I decided it was useless to do so and a waste of tokens. I do not buy many mini items with them unless I really like the item. So I guess it is just a status of accomplishment in the games to me.

Paint, as to your new rank 25 icon, it appears next to your s/n–up to 24,999, you have a solid yellow circle. Att 25k, you get a circle with a shading like a bubble may have..that is only difference. Subtle, but there. Is funny when someone purchases tokens, they may have excess of 25k, yet still have the solid yellow circle (lol) for earned tokens.

I love my pogo tokens. To me they are just as impressive as the badges, maybe more. I hit 90 million this week. I like to pile them up and admire them. The badges started meaning less to me when all the “buy me” badges showed up. And the weekly badges don’t mean much either. For me the goal is tokens and game award badges (I have 429 of those). I find it amusing that so many really high token holders say they won them in poker ….. so who’s losing in poker lmao!!!
I don’t play poker except for badges. I do play a lot of pogo and after many years still love it and still get a thrill with each new million. They sure come easier now than they did years ago!!
As a side note, I do get my tokens in crossword cove since I started waiting for the 14 minute mark ….. I read a thread here at badgehungry while i wait on the timer ………

In order to get all of your tokens in crossword cove you need to put the last word in after 15 minutes. Then hit done. Also wait at least 60 seconds before going to another game and do the same thing. This works

No Linda, don’t wait until AFTER 15 minutes, because you won’t get the special badge for puzzles UNDER 15 minutes. You only have to wait until 14 minutes have passed to get all the tokens. :)

I have a question about Word Search Daily and I hope someone can help. Breezed through to rank 6 doing 30 puzzles a day. Now every time I hit Daily Game it says This puzzle does not count toward earning a badge. The calendar only goes back six months and apparently I’ve completed all of them. So….how do I find new puzzles? Maybe some seasoned veterans of the game can help. Thank you so much in advance for your help.

As the name says, they add a new puzzle daily…this usually loads when you push to play. U can always hit calendar to see if any U missed, avoid the random button if going for a badge and GL

can anyone tell me how to get the squid in Boardwalk Sea Ball ? Ev1 keeps telling me to hit them in the head but nothing works and i have rolled the ball everwhere on and off those darn guys and cant get nowhere :( what am i doing wrong?? the other rounds work fine

Hi,I am a little confused with tokens won on crossword cove,why do we NOT get total sum won only the top number ,ei,. 2244 and not total at bottom ,say 4444 ?But when playing on the UK crossword you get FULL tokens won..I have lost plenty by NOT getting correct count and I noticed other members are complaining also.Please answer ASAP.

I have a question, i have one badge in the mix and match when the gems first started. it is to get one bingo in 2 days. i use this when i have a special badge to get. I have noticed my token count for the badge is going down every time i use it, fine. but what happens when it gets to zero? can i still use it?

I only come to BH about once a week (to cheat my way through the UK TP). I enjoy all the tips and comments and now anxious to try for that Poppit badge.
For Sarah, #47, in the past, I’ve had trouble purchasing downloadable games. Turned out my credit card/bank had a flag on overseas charges. I don’t know about now, but at that time, BIBI, or something similar, was handling the financial part of the transaction. I finally got smart and would call my bank before placing the order to let them know it was a charge authorized by me. All that hassle for a $10 charge! (only purchased when 50% off)
BTW, 28.5M tokies right now.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I got a email from pogo saying on the 24th the Back to School Premium Badge Album will be released. Thats this Monday! Yeah!! I love new albums…

telman22: thanks for the heads up! Monday’s a rare day for them to release an album — I wonder if it was a typo or if they’re planning something different this time around. Either way, fine by me! :)
I also expect Mini Golf Madness to be out on Tuesday. Sounds like a great week coming up!

Lura, yes it is rather blaffling that pogo would give it to us on a Monday, hope they wasn’t just fooling us, but I get the Insider email news from pogo when games are out and when you can buy gem badges so that is what they said, we will see come in the morning! I am excited either way it goes, Monday or Tuesday whichever the case may be. They never mentioned when Mini Golf will be out, just said soon. I love different badges and play on pogo all the time. When a new game comes out I am on there for hours (if I like the game) some games I don’t play unless I have too)

I have 407 badges, 9,248,108 tokens, and 9,403,617 tokens lifetime.
It would be cool if we could get albums and mix-and-match badges or an extra personal challenge with them. I’ve never entered the drawings, probally wouldn’t have a snowball’s chance in heck of winning.

Thank you Pat #98. I was wondering if that yellow circle should look any different. I thought possibly mine didn’t change because my current token count is so much less after spending them at mall (& yes, the occasional drawing). But maybe it’s just too subtle for me to see it.

In the Boardwalk game, to get the Squids, aim just ahead of the squid so it runs into the ball. The red squids are the fastest, so always go for them as soon as you see them….the yellow are the next fastest…then the last color (green, I believe)…aim for the squids in that order to get them all and get a perfect score. gl

I had to take a break from playing Ev1 Wins bingo–I used to enjoy it when it first came out and got pretty far in it. Then other games attracted me and i stopped playing for quite awhile. Now, i am trying to rank out in a hostile environment…i didnt know how bad. As i am now 45/50 in ranks, I will carry on and ignore the comments, such as no b/os allowed, and just find another room…one with “daub” or “pine” in the name and avoid “passing” rooms….But, what i cant understand is rooms where 20 numbers have been called and some are muttering “bad cards”, etc. I can never tell till the last 10 numbers are called. So I will hold my tongue and continue in Ev1 Whines Bingo…but, after playing for awhile, i sure enjoy coming to BH and see peolple helping each other, offering advice and hints and solutions. Lura, you are awesome and the whole site has an optimistic tone which i so enjoy. Thank you and all the people who have offered so much help and many ideas. Now, back to the whiners..wish me luck
