Hmmmm… two ancient civilization themed badges. I just noticed that.
Of the two, I’m looking forward to Ali Baba more. Phlinx… kind of an “ugh” for me!

=) I like these challenges, as these will go by rather quickly, unlike last week (*cough* Dice City Roller badge). I’m more in favor of the Phlinx badge, as the slots games always make me doze off. I mean, all you do is click the lever-thingy to spin the reels.
On another note: there are 2 personal challenges this week. This rather excites me, so I can do more badges this week. But it should be 3 personals, not 2. Why did they change it?

shell: well the good news from all of that is that I realized my server time is off by about 15 minutes and is dating the comments here 15-20 minutes earlier than it actually is! Thanks! (having it fixed now)

Maybe pogo will be nice and let us do 2 personals every week instead of one LOL…. there are so many badges now that they should.
I finished all my personals a long time ago, but still enjoy redoing challenges for my favorite games.
Alibaba Slots badge isn’t taking too long, have 2400 in only 26 minutes.
Phlinx shouldn’t be too tough either.

I like the ancient cililization them along with the 2 extra personals to get 2 of our ancient challenges done. I hope this means more weeks with an extra personal challenge since this was 2 instead of 3 challenges. Still would like Pogo to brainstorm a way to let us do more then one personal challenge a week.

i’m with you, badgehunter–i’ve finished my past yearly albums, but always try to do a big ticket 3000 token challenge just for the pocket change. i’m up to x13 on that PA Sol “Loyal to the Game” challenge, lmao.
i hadn’t noticed the theme–thanks pogogirl. i love a theme, i do. not crazy about these games, but i don’t hate ‘em either. neither should take too long.
maybe instead of a marathon, we can call this one a sprint…

Well I guess 2 is better than 1….but 3 is better than 2!
I am going to try to do my mix n match for hearts…the shoot the moon 3 times one so i am going to do at least 1 hearts personal as well. I cannot shoot the moon though I would really appreciate some help, i’m figuring the BEST way to get the badge is to have 3 people help let me get all the tricks but I’m still not sure…..any tips or offerings of help would be super great! Thanks so much

cookie: you might try asking your question about Hearts on the weekend open thread (Friday through Sunday). You’ll get better responses that way, and they won’t be off-topic to this week’s challenges in Phlinx and Ali Baba Slots.

No hints for this week unless you count changing to a higher level in Phlinx. Too high, though, and all you’ll do is crash lol.
I always do my personals in a game I’m working on finishing. So yet again, they’ll both be for Payday Freecell. I pick the high token ones like kiki. I love to see my token count climb!

I was hoping you guys would tell me there was a “Magic Lamp” for Ali Baba – I’m losing a ton of tokens and I just cracked 1,000 for the badge. I will offer my “stupid me” tip of the day – Bet Max. Yeah, I’m too used to the spin to get “x” of something and played for about 5 mins before I realized that one. *facepalm* Now I feel even worse. Phlinx I can handle, but I’m going to wait for my roommate (I’m out of town) and hopefully we can play together. Too cutesy? GL – and Better Luck to everyone else!

Boring badges this week lol. But like that we get 2 personals this week, probably will just redo challenges i like instead of trying to do badges i have left that i can’t stand since i dislike Ali Baba and Phlinx.

Ali Baba slots was quite easy, though I didn’t want to do it after working on the damn sapphire badge in the latest premium album, lol.
Phlinx was even faster for me. I suggest playing on the highest difficulty you can actually finish the game on. I play on hard, and I get anywhere from 250 to 350 stones a game.

I can’t play ali baba today I enter a rommand spin one time and the game freezes this has happened several times phlinx was easy and I finished in about 45 min don’t know what my personals will be yet only have hard badges and badges in games I don’t like or can’t figure out how to play left

Phlinx took me an hour on easy and an hour and 10 minutes for ali baba! I choose Aces up and first class solitaire for those personals. I have everything done except the daily trivial and crossword cove. I could have used another personal too…hahaha! I also am hoping for 2 again next week. ::)

That’s odd, why would Pogo just do 2 personal badges if they wanted to do more than one? But, the two badges this week are easy, so I won’t complain hehe ;)

Both badges for easy for me this week. The Ali Baba badge took a little over an hour. Usually whenever there is a slots badge I get help from my son who is five. I will work on it until its almost done and then he comes in and finishes it. He gets a kick out of getting a badge for mom. LOL
For the personal badges I chose the dreaded Euchre badge for one of them to try to get it out of the way. I haven’t chosen the other but it will probably be for a game I have a lot of fun playing or am trying to rank up in.

I chose 2 challenges from the 2004 album… leaving me with only 3 more to do until completed…. Chose Cribbage (win 8 rated games) and Hearts (Win 15 games by 15 or more points).

good luck dale with completing the 2004 album! I just recently completed 2003 and that was a feat! I’m now working on 2006…only like 50 more to go!!
nephtys thanks for meantiong that other ali baba slots badge. i just won that album from my league and haven’t really looked at it. although it means i will be playing slots for a while i figure i might as well activate it.

Is anyone else annoyed with all of the slots badges there have been as of late (counting weeklies, M-n-Ms, and PBAs)? I can’t stand slots games, and there have been a TON of badges for slots games lately. With all of the other great games they have, it is really ticking me off that they keep making stupid slots badges.

Your welcome cookie! I warn you though, it was horiffic and I played for DAYS. There would be long stretches where I did not get ANY blue sapphires (when I say long stretches, I mean 8 hrs…) but good luck!
I did a chess badge for one of my personals (thanks for the tips!) but I dont know what im going to do for the other yet.

monica i have trouble like that in slots sometimes it helps me to wait a minute for the game to entirely load including everyones badge images and if this fails to work i refresh the game using the keyboard shortcut button…………… hope it helps.

I got both badges under an hour. I was pleased to see 2 personal badges. I wish Pogo could this more often.

Hi all, both of my weeklies are done. Phlinx was easy, I played on Hard and did crash a few times but got credit for any stones I dropped. To those who haven’t completed the challenge yet, you can bounce the stones off the side pillars, use the power-ups, and play on the level you like the most. Ali Baba took a little longer. No tips really, just keep spinning and hope you get lucky. :)

This weeks badges were easy. You can play phlinx however you want, I just started shooting like a maniac until i got 5000 lol. Not much you can do on slots, but it’s pretty quick too :)
