Happy Weekend everyone!
Hope you all had a good week! I for one was delighted to see Pogo fix a few of the problems that were happening in some of their games (Monopoly and Crossword Cove especially)I guess Pogo didn’t fix anything afterall… and to be able to bring you sneak peeks of some great upcoming stuff. As our contributor Kathy said, Pogo’s been busy with their 10th anniversary celebration badges and album — keep it up!
Earlier this week, Jan wrote in to suggest a topic for this weekend.. Pogo’s How to Play pages.
I for one read Pogo’s instructions for games and quite often find them as clear as mud. So, I find your site and talk to other people or bump around the game and try to figure it out, at least enough to finish a badge.
I was wondering if other people thought Pogo’s How to play sections left something to be desired?
I search for instructions for some games and if it is a card or board game that existed pre-pogo there is some helpful info. Otherwise it is trial and error with a side of frustration.
Even with instructions for Euchre and Cribbage I’m lost so I am grateful to find people at Badgehungry to help.
Do you think the game instructions are good or do they lack something important? Are there game instructions that could use a rewrite? What has your experience been? Do you even read the help pages?
Feel free to talk about the How to Play pages or anything else you’d like in the comments below. See you in the comments!

Happy Friday, I am also lost when it comes to reading the How To Play in card games, I am not very good at these type of games so it is kind of confusing, but I always feel good that I can come to Badge Hungry and ask for help or any tips and people are always happy to help out, thank you to everyone who has come to my rescue!! Does anyone know if Pogo fixed the badge problem in Crossword Cove, I still haven’t received my monthly puzzle completion badge. Thank you again Lura and thank you to everyone who has made this site such a great place to come. Be Safe and have a great weekend.

Hello everyone, happy Friday. Anyways, when it comes to the game’s “How to play” section, it, for the majority of the time isn’t useful. For lots of the easier games, such as Poppit or Word Whomp, instructions aren’t quite necessary, as the game-play is rather self-explanatory. But for games that people struggle with, like Hearts (*cough* the recent badge) or euchre, it will take forever to learn, mainly because the instructions are hard to read, or because some people learn hands-on by having another player guide them step-by-step.
But, after a few months of agony, games such as Payday Freecell, Hearts, Euchre, Spades and Cribbage became simple. I just taught myself while struggling with badges. I still need someone to teach me Backgammon, though ^_^
So in short, yes, the instructions are rather helpless and need to be updated more clearly.
Have a good week everyone and good luck to those who haven’t finished the week’s badges yet.

hi everyone hope you all have a great weekend going to be nice here in md so it will be great to be at my pool . As for directions i can most of the time figure the game out with what little they put up. And as for monopoly badge the game is still getting stuck for me i see people play and wonder how they are playing If nobody else is having a problem please let me no.
mopgirl_ 08.07.09 at 12:30 pm
Hi everyone, been reading for ages but only just posting now :)
My username is mopgirl_ on pogo but everywhere else I go by Wittle_Puppy with or without the _ or just Puppy.
I’m normally the sort that when entering a game where you play against others, to enter and set my own room up, so I can play against robots. This is mainly because I have a lot of trouble socialising (even on the internet) but lately I’ve started to talk a bit more. This also helps me to learn how to play the game if I don’t know how to play the game. Robots don’t care if you don’t know how to play. They’ll win/lose but I get the advice without being harrassed for being slow (been reading Nettie too much).
A couple of different things as well. A few days ago another pogoer and I were telling another pogoer in Crossword Cove to come here when yet another Pogoer tells them to not come here because it’s not safe, about half the room came to the defense of Badge Hungry and the said person left the room, but I just wanted to tell the story.
Pogo was being a little… difficult earlier, my addiction wasn’t being fed, I felt like the world was ending :D
Quite a long introduction :) anyway Hi everyone *waves*
Sue 08.07.09 at 12:44 pm
Hey Kellie, I am having trouble with the monopoly game also. I am working on the Monopoly badge album amd a few of them are timed ones. The game keeps freezing but after a few minutes comes back to life-this does not work when you are on a timer. Hope pogo has fixed it since last nite!!!
Kassyrae 08.07.09 at 1:22 pm
Speaking of Euchre, I started to play it for my personal badge this week because I miss it at the beginning of 2009 and was trying to complete all the 2009 badges. But after trying to understand it for a long time and not getting it I finally moved on to a different badge. Can anyone help so I can maybe do it next week? Thanks!!!

Happy Weekend Everyone!!
As for the How To Play Instructions on Pogo, (smirk) they definitely need updating–JUST ABOUT ALL OF THEM!! Have you ever seen even one tell you how to have a better game and get a better score?? Sometimes the tips are ok, but they leave out the major ones!!
Forget learning the harder card games with those How to’s, isn’t gonna happen, lol Pogo needs to “simple” them up a bit! lol Use examples and name names. Like player 1 or this team or that team, etc. It just gets way too technical and my eyes are glazing over at the second paragraph!! If you don’t know what I mean, go look at the Hearts How to or check out the Spades!! Good grief!!
ON another TOPIC: Is anyone missing anything from their mini closet? I’m missing The Living Tree Background (the animated, moving tree)…..it’s also NOT in the Mini Mall at all either. It’s disappeared completely! Now this is a scary thought! If it’s gone from the mall AND my closet, wonder if I’ll get it back….I did pay for it, ya know? Ya think it will come back?? Does this happen often?? Just wondering because I’ve never had this happen, that I know of, lol Was going to use it, that’s how I found it was missing!! :(
(please, please don’t make me write to support!! kicking and screaming!!)
So, if anyone else is missing anything YOU can write and THEN TELL ME what they said!! ROFL k??
Have a great weekend everyone, take care, be safe and see ya next week.
(((HUGS for all)))

I find directions are very vague for most of the games. But i just muddle thru and can usually figure them out.But i think they should revamp some of the card games as it would be a lot easier for more to figure out.
Have a great weekend all.Going to be a lot cooler here and that is a most welcome relief, might get off Pogo and work in my yard.
caf538 08.07.09 at 1:49 pm
I couldn not agree more. For the card/board games that we do not, or have never played, is a pot of Mulligan soup to sift through the directions. The terminology used is, at best, as confusing as the game is, which leads to frustration and abandonment of playing that game. Better tips would also be beneficial for us just trying to get that badge completed.
David 08.07.09 at 1:58 pm
Lura… I just got a letter from pogo today saying they are still working on the Monopoly game. I think you said pogo fixed it. I just don’t want to start that m&m badge again without it being fixed. I Started it twice and gave uo both times. Where did you see that they fixed it?
I will forward their message to me today. LOL
Real men don’t read instructions(I don’t) LMAO Well that the way the story goes!
Have a great weekend….this is the BEST site for pogo information
Lura 08.07.09 at 2:12 pm
David: I played for hours last night without a problem (when I’d had problems in the past) so I assumed it was fixed. Maybe they just fixed whatever specific problem I was having? Who knows! Sorry you’re still having issues.
Herself 08.07.09 at 2:25 pm
Ok…so the “How to Play” in some games, isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be TRUE lol. I have found myself readin some & getting all flustered coz it’s just not making sense!!! Ack…So, I jump right in the game & keep directions to the side for reference (coz I know i’m gonna NEED them LMAO) I tend to learn much faster w/hands on, than me reading the pig latin under “How to Play”…
Friends have come to my aid also in teaching me a new game, sometimes their ENGLISH just makes more sense than POGO’s LMAO. I will also give a SHOUT in the room I am in, asking for tips & tricks or ranks even (most times I get alot of positive feedback) & it HELPS!!! For some games yea the “How to Play” just does NOT sink into my head until I REALLY know the game & understand it ( takes time for some of those really tough card games…Ugh!!!)
Let’s not forget everyone here, pulling together on tips & tricks for certain games…THANK YOU…for all the sharing…Keep It Up People!!!
I refuse to play Monopoly LOL I can’t stand that game, so I am no help to you. I don’t play Backgammon, or Euchre either sowwy ( those 2 are serious sit down games & I can’t sit still enough LOL)
Hey Kat…yea I heard that gorgeous wisdom tree needed a haircut, coz he was growing so fast & getting in everyone’s eyes ;)
He will be back soon ;)
Have A Great Weekend EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Ok I just have to say..I am soo excited about those 10 challenges for the 10th Anniversary what a GREAT idea KUDOS to POGO THANKS!!
laurie45678 08.07.09 at 2:51 pm
I usually just sit down and play the game for several hours and figure it out by myself. I hate reading the directions because they usually just give me a headache! I taught myself how to play euchre and now thats my favorite game! I wish it had ranks!
Bill 08.07.09 at 3:23 pm
*sigh.*
Another email to Pogo, another failure to read.
My email was basically a feature request to be able to mute people who have left the room (so that they will be muted if I am ever in the same room with them again). I specifically noted that the actions the other person took was not a Terms of Service violation, merely annoying.
All they have to do is say, “thanks, we’ll pass it on for consideration.” Simple, right?
Nope. I get an email back describing how to use the “Report Abuse” function.
Seriously, if I showed the level of incompetence that these people show, I wouldn’t have a job.
… sorry, had to get that rant out. Have a good weekend everyone.
cherie 08.07.09 at 4:36 pm
I generally find the rules enough to start the game. From there it’s just figuring out how I like to play it personally. I do wish they would be more specific on certain things…like you only get credit for 45 words in Boggle Bash!
David: I’m having probablem in Monopoly as well. I played one game, got 12, started another game. The second game froze up so I tried again. That one froze, too. I’m hoping I don’t lose my 12 before the time expires!
As for Crossword Cove, I’m still not getting all the tokens, even when I wait 10 minutes to complete and submit the puzzle. It’s also still annoying to redo a puzzle so it doesn’t affect my stats. Oh, well. The joys of Pogo life lol.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
debbie 08.07.09 at 4:36 pm
i would like to share a experience today. i called pogo to renew my membership and buy gems . so i used my husbands credit card but it was a different one. the credit card compand sent my husband 14 emails of fraud . i called them but wont talk to m so people beware of useing spouses credit card or sending a membership to a friend on a credit card
Lura 08.07.09 at 5:44 pm
Bill: I’m totally with you. I just have to share what happened when I tried to get some answers about the Pocket Pogo games (and how Entertainment Earth was listing them as canceled). Long story short, I originally contacted Pogo_Bret, but despite my protestations that I’d not get an appropriate response, he directed me to support to get an “official” response to post. Reluctantly, I contacted support through the web site and explained I wanted an official response that I could post on my web site about the status of the handheld devices. It took them almost a month to respond back (June 11 to July 6 without even a “we’re working on it” in between). Even worse, the response I got didn’t answer my question(s) or give me any kind of official answer to post, but rather it was a form-letter that told me the pogo.com/pocket web page (which I had clearly already seen) had answers to the most common questions about the Pocket games. Frustrating with a capital F…U… err.. yeah.
I also received a follow-up request to take a survey based on my support experience, but I recall feeling like I still couldn’t adequately express the utter failure of the customer support response via their questionnaire. Part of me wants to give them the benefit of the doubt, understanding they must have THOUSANDS of requests for help covering all different subjects and probably 50% or more of them are written poorly. I’m sure the reps are used to having to skim for keywords and craft an answer quickly. However, it’s become so ridiculous that people are coming to my site and to me for answers (and hopefully we can help, but even via email I’m still only one woman with a limited amount of time) because they don’t want to contact support. That’s just sad, support should be their first line of defense, not a fan site.
With that said, I’ll wrap this up. Even though I tried to explain about my (and others’) terrible horrible no-good very bad experiences with customer support, Pogo_Bret told me he used to be part of customer support and that “they usually get you where you need to be eventually!”
eratomuse 08.07.09 at 5:59 pm
hi kassyrae,
i love euchre and would be happy to play with you to help get badges, i’m in uk, so add me as a friend and drop me a message to let me know what sort of time and what day you would like to play

In CC, most times you have to wait a full 14 minutes to get the total tokens you earned. Sometimes only waiting 10 minutes works, but the best is to wait 14 minutes.
irene 08.07.09 at 7:36 pm
i try the moves that john said in the chess game i didnt not win he said move f1-tob5 i dont know what i m doing wrong the f1 to b5 wont move that far could you pleas tell me i am doing wrong
thank you irene
Sarah 08.07.09 at 8:17 pm
I agree that some of the “How to Play” instructions can be hard to understand. I am one of those people who learn by playing rather than reading. Euchre is one of those games that I have read the instructions many times and I still don’t get it. I may be able to eventually muddle my way through it, but it’s frustrating. I would like to understand it so I can work on some of the badges. Maybe Pogo should consider tutorials where you play bots while the game basics are shown to you like they do on games like Penguin Blocks.
HomelessDog 08.07.09 at 8:19 pm
I think most of the game instructions are pretty good, although I do wish they did a better job of explaining how exactly to rank up in each game. So I am thankful for all the fan sites out there filling in the details that Pogo leaves out.
By the way, I must say I’m addicted to Crossword Cove. I haven’t bothered to play anything else for the past two weeks–not even the weekly challenges–because I’ve spent all my time playing Crossword Cove. I’m happy to say that I have solved all the puzzles so far without needing to cheat. I was worried that having the answers posted on fansites would be too tempting for me to look at, but I’ve enjoyed the game enough that I have not even really thought about cheating–even if it takes me a half hour to solve a puzzle sometimes.
Nessa 08.07.09 at 8:30 pm
Hi. First of all I want to say Thank you for all the help we can find in here and I’m not only talking about Trivial and Crossword answers but everything, comments, tips, sneakpeeks…Everything! That’s a hell of a work you are doing, Congrats!!! You said pogo fix the problems they were having with Crossword, is this true? Cause I just finished one puzzle and I still didn’t get the correct amount of tokies, it said I got 4,100 but I only got credit for about 2,400. As for Monopoly I think is ok now at least I made some offers and counter offers and it worked ok, slow but at leas my game didn’t freeze.
Faith 08.07.09 at 8:35 pm
Irene, F1 – B5 moves your bishop up to one space before the opponents’ pon. It works. gl
Maggie 08.07.09 at 9:10 pm
Irene, I did use John’s instructions and won. You might be trying to
move F2 instead. I kept confusing the 1 and 2 pieces. Keep trying, it does work!
Thanks again, John, for those great instructions!

Gecko 08.07.09 at 10:47 pm
Having once been responsible for writing a user’s manual for individual power plants after designing them – Pogo’s How to Plays need major help. I find they usually tell you most of what you could assume, or at best after one game with robots if that’s an option, or for just playing through. What I can never find is how to get a jackpot spin, what ranks you up – you know, the important badge addition related stuff! ;) That’s why I love BH so much and everyone’s advice and I use BA for the rank info.
Off the main topic, I was so excited to see Penguin Blocks get mini items! I enjoy that game a lot and hope to rank in it next and now being able to make my mini an ice cube with a fish stealing penguin (though didn’t they steal that costume from another release?) is a lot of fun. HAGWE all!
Bill 08.07.09 at 11:27 pm
Sarah, maybe this page will help?
http://www.pagat.com/euchre/euchre.html
Note Pogo uses the rules called “North American” there.
Most of the play of Euchre can be thought of like Bridge, or to a lesser extent, Spades. The bidding portion simply says you think you can take the majority of the tricks (at least 3 out of 5) with the trump that’s turned face up, or if it’s the second round of bidding, in the suit you name.
The Jacks being the two highest trumps are probably the hardest thing to remember.
—
irene: that means to move the bishop on the right (next to the king) up from its original position forward and left to the fifth spot up from the horse (knight) on the other side.
(I haven’t tried the trick, so I don’t know if it fails sometimes.)
HoneyDew1951 08.07.09 at 11:50 pm
Has anyone else not gotten the badge for completing a month of puzzles in Crossword Cove? I have completed the month of July, but did not get a badge?

walla99362 08.08.09 at 12:41 am
I found the best way to learn is to play be it a pogo game or a game bought at the store. It is hard to learn from reading instructions whether it is pogo help or the instructions included in the game box. It is always helpful to have a friend who knows the game playing with you – that is why I love pogo chat. I get help and have helped. I have never been in a pogo room (play under the 50′s tab) where someone hasn’t come on and chatted the help I needed. Must be lucky cause I have never been in a room where someone came out with angry words.
Hoylegaming.com gives some detailed “instructions” on card games but even their instructions are hard to figure out when you know nothing about the game. I find sticking to it, with time, I soon become pretty good at playing.
It took a long time for me to realize in Euchre that the card going around determined the trump and was given to the dealer and not given to me (it just determines trump) and high trump was the jack followed by the jack of the same color jack of another suit (hearts/diamonds or spades/clubs). Once I straightened that in my head I did okay in getting the badge.
Other than the tokens I have had no trouble with crossword cove. You have to complete the entire month to get the month’s badge and you ahve to have all the days with a green check mark. If you have black check marks you have to go back and do them over.
Debk 08.08.09 at 12:58 am
Happy Weekend everyone. I am glad this topic is brought up as I thought it was just me being a knucklehead and finding the game instructions vague. I usually read the basics and learn the tricks of the game by playing and watching the chat. And I too googled Pogo games for more info, thus leading me to this wonderful site. :-)
Terry 08.08.09 at 1:30 am
i am not a huge fan of cc but i know alot of ppl are and i have played to rank 13 i believe…..
I rarely read the how to play on any game…..I am pretty familiar with all the pogo games thankfully and can play pretty much every game (good or bad LOL) for a badge…..I know spades, hearts and euchre were very hard for me to understand till my wife helped me understand them all more… I am still no fan of euchre but i dont mind playing hearts or spades anymore!!(for a badge that is LOL)
Snowyjoke 08.08.09 at 5:03 am
I think the “how to play” instructions are normaly enough to play and learn the basis things, The most you have to learn yourself by playing.
I have the last few days that pogo loose the connection with the server and my mother in law had it a lot of times the last month.
Will it help to clear your internetfiles and cookies?
I will thank for the topic “How to Win at Chess”, I have play now all my M&M badges without any problem. I have one tip more to be always the first one to play, you have to turn of “players switch sides after every game”, that will help you to get the “3 in a raw”-badge, because every turn you can start ;-)
Have a great weekend all and make fun to play on pogo!
EdC 08.08.09 at 7:42 am
Kat F. – I remember reading that pogo was having problems with the living tree(growing through the mini’s hair) so they probably are fixing it.
I always read the ‘how to play’ before I try a game out. But the one game that had me stumped for a while was Stellar Sweeper. I read the directions so many time it just got more confusing. Players tried to explain it to me but this is not an easy one to explain I guess. Finally I figured it out on my own.
As far as Euchre and Pinochle..at least they highlight the cards you can play LOL!

Lura,
Thanks so much for running this weekend thread! I learn more on this site then I do from anywhere else in Pogo land from the people who post and from the info you provide. I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds the How to Play sections vague and in need of a rewrite.
I know there are some games where you have the option to play/practice with robots which is how I earn badges for games I really just don’t understand well enough to play with other people.
Sweetove, if you know how to clear your Java cache it might help your problem. Also, make sure you have the latest Java installed. There was an update this week. I have 2 different ways to clear Java depending on which computer I am using. Google Java and it should lead you to a site with instructions and updates. I find that when I clear Java and my temp internet files and cookies things run a bit smoother.
Kim 08.08.09 at 10:08 am
Bill and Lura – I was so glad to see you posted about my pet gripe yesterday, that being Pogo “customer support”. If they were a brassiere, my breasts would be sitting on my knees while I played Pogo!! All week I’ve been trying to find out if it is possible to identify what badges I’ve purchased are still unearned in a particular game without having to scroll through each and every badge album to do it.
If any of the bright and helpful folks here could share a tip or two, I’d appreciate it.
Well, I’m out into the sunshine and off to the farmer’s market for a bit. Enjoy you day, everyone!
WilliamPorygon 08.08.09 at 10:31 am
I generally read a new game’s How to Play pages before playing it, and they typically do a good job of describing the basics. However often I want to know more detailed or advanced stuff, and it’s usually not in there. The new Crossword Cove is a good example — I’d like to know exactly how scoring works and about all the bonuses. It says nothing really about scoring other than that higher levels award more points and that words solved with hint earn half as many points as (the unknown value of) words you complete on your own. Bonuses, like how many tokens you get for unused powerups or not using many hints, aren’t even mentioned at all.
I get a perfect pen credited in my stats when I submit a complete puzzle regardless of how many hints I use, as long as I don’t have any words completely solved for me. However, I only get a 500 token bonus labeled “Perfect Pen” if I do it without using any hints at all. So it would seem that either I’m getting credited for perfects while using hints when I shouldn’t, or I’m getting gypped out of 500 bonus tokens every time I use hints to complete a puzzle. Since the How to Play doesn’t mention it at all, I really have no idea which one it is. (Granted, I wouldn’t be able to do anything about it anyway, but still I’d like to know how it’s supposed to work.)
John 08.08.09 at 10:49 am
Kim,
If you go to Badges Central > Find a Badge Tab. In drop down for Choose a game ..select game. In Badge type …All Badges and Under View Options check Include Badges I’ve Purchased It will show all the badges.
Or go to the game page itself and in upper right click Badges for this game then Check the Include Badges Ive Purchased.
bonnie 08.08.09 at 11:08 am
Kim to answer if its possible to see what badges you have earned in a game without looking thru badge book ..ive found if you click on upper right side of each home game page where it says BADGES FOR THIS GAME ( and a little icon badge book) it shows what badges there are for the game and if you have any left to complete it only shows them !! its very easy to see just wehat badges there are for each game and what you still need to get!!
Agee 08.08.09 at 11:12 am
Thanks Lura for such a”hands on” site. I agree with that some of the “How to play” instructions are hard to understand. I dont mind answering lots of questions, I asked some myself, lol. But what I do have a prob with is those that dont even try. Thay wait til challenge day to learn and ask question (by the tons). And get upset if everyone doesnt stop and give them the info. Lots of times Im so deep in hte game I dont c them. If I dont know how or havent played in a while. I go in to the coming challenges game and get a refresher/learning course, before “Challenge Wed”, I find it a whole lot easier on me, and I know that those around me (if they knew) that I would be bothering would find it easier as well. And thanks for ur tip section, found the answer to Chess a long time ago in there. Have a great weekend everyone. Now back to Monopoly, lol.
Pat 08.08.09 at 11:15 am
I always read the How to Play section prior to playing. These often consist of the basics only. I find myself rereading the how to play section when i have more questions, only to find the answers not there. The one game that i could not figure out for the longest was Stellar Sweeper, not the basics, but, the finesse to get a perfect game. Fortunately, others sent me pogograms to my box with additional information. Now, I can do perfect games one after another. I thank all the players who go the extra mile to support others.
Now, to my frustration, a pet peeve. It is some that come into room and ask How do we play this? That is not the problem though. It is if another replies read the How To section, or no one answers at all. Then, i have read some of the most horrible comments when some didnt get the aswers they wanted. I cant even remember what challenge I was playing but, practically every new person into the room asked for instructions. The whole room was tired of no one even reading up, and stopped answering. I had to file a report abuse form as the comments were horrific. I really dont mind if someone says I didnt understand this part in the directions and will gladly help. But, the demanding and whining has got to go.
Also, i had to play the bridge (old challenge) and i went the extra mile to google Hoyle and learn a few things before i played. For all card players, this is the bible of cards and a great source. Good luck all.

In answer to kim, i like under badges, there is a section called find a badge. If I am playing a game for a challenge, i put that same game in search. I then select either premium or mix and match to see if i have a challenge to correspond. Then, i go the extra tab and select the find ones i have already purchased. If not, i select the find ones I have already earned. It replays the badge for a lessor amount of tokens.
Hope this helps.
Lura 08.08.09 at 11:38 am
The problem with the “Find a Badge” page is that the filtering for purchased and earned badges is broken. While there is a checkmark to show “badges I’ve earned” and “badges I’ve purchased”, it doesn’t work properly. Mix-n-Match badges I’ve purchased and earned show up whether or not I have the “badges I’ve earned” checkbox selected by virtue of the fact that they have been “purchased”. In addition, the word “Earned” does not appear under Mix-n-Match or Premium Album badges, only the Weekly badges that I have earned. If I’ve already earned them, I personally have little interest in seeing them on the list when I am searching for a badge to complete.
Chelle 08.08.09 at 12:15 pm
I don’t have too much trouble with the “how to play” instructions. That said, I never read them because I can usually figure it out on my own. I have looked through them though, and I do agree though that they are much easier to understand for pogo original games than they are for the card games. Luckily, the card games on pogo exist outside of pogo. There might be a slight difference in some of the games, but you can get the gist of it no matter where you look up directions on how to play. For those of you that have trouble with pogo’s directions: you should try learning elsewhere. I learned to play pinochle after reading an article on wikipedia. I learned to play canasta on a canasta fansite. Just google “how to play _____” (insert the name of the game, of course) and you may find directions that are much easier to understand than those that pogo provides.
Just a quick story/question for those of you that renew your club pogo membership with a credit or debit card: I have found that the last two times I’ve renewed my membership using my debit card, pogo charged me twice, and then “gave back” the second charge after a week or so. This is EXTREMELY annoying, because I only use my bank account to pay bills. I get paid in cash, so I have it all at home, and only put as much as I need to pay bills in the bank. So when I put $20 in to pay for 6 months of club pogo and it charges twice, I get hit with a $35 overdraft fee. Obviously, the quickest fix is to put $40 in the bank when I renew, but I’m not made of money over here, and sometimes I need every bit of cash I have. I was just wondering…does this happen to anyone else? I’ve tried calling, but i can’t figure out if it’s just a mistake on pogo’s end or something they do to everyone.

HANDHELD GAMES…
I am utterly disappointed in the one game I have so far. I just bought it this morning and am so sad to see that it reminds me of a handheld poker game from at least ten years ago. For the 20 dollars I paid for this touch screen solitaire game, I expected they would’ve at least used a LITTLE BIT of the technology available to us today. I’ve played two rounds of tri-peaks and put it away. :(
I’ll go back to it for sake of winning badges, but honestly I am very distraught that I just paid 20 dollars for three badges and a month of free membership. As far as tokens go, I don’t really care about them since they come and go so easily and gems are the only things I get use of in the category of “useful for pogo purchases”
Brian 08.08.09 at 12:39 pm
Here is the quickest euchre guide I can give you. The rank goes J-A-K-Q-10-9. Put it in a post it note beside your computer when you play euchre. And remember this. DO NOT ORDER UP A JACK TO YOUR OPP. Its the most important rule I can stress. If anyone needs euchre help please contact me on twitter @doctorx316 im on facebook.com/doctorx316 on pogo as docrock316. Many ways to contact me please feel free to do so.

Hi all, been having fun lurking in here and reading all posts. Anyone got good tips for Cribbage? I just cannot get this game no matter how many times I “read the instructions” and/or play with the bots. Maybe I just have a brain block about the game. I also had trouble with Stellar Sweeper until I became determined to learn it and now am ranked out and don’t play it anymore, but someone mentioned it and I realized I missed it so gonna go play it for a while. Thanks.
Genevieve 08.08.09 at 1:55 pm
Hi Everyone, great discussion this weekend. Brian thank you so much for the Euchre tip, I am horrible when it comes to card games so any tips or help is greatly appreciated. By the way, when will Pogo be turning “10″ and any idea when the Pogo turning 10 album plus the special edition badge will be coming out? I love all the m/ms for September, I can’t wait. Have a great weekend everyone and again, thank you.
c 08.08.09 at 2:17 pm
Just wanted to say “Thanks” for the chess moves..works great!
–Bill, I have muted people and then ended up in the same room with them again and they were still muted…even a year later lol
David 08.08.09 at 2:30 pm
Monopoly game is still freezing. I played it over a period of 2 days and I got the badge.
Thanks to what Sue said…. “after a few minutes it comes back to life”.
I didn’t know that! It still would freeze a couple times during the game.
I do read Badgehungry, not game instructions.
So, I would wait and play. Doing this makes winning badge a lot longer than should have.
Thanks for everything!!!
Sarah 08.08.09 at 3:19 pm
Thanks Bill, I’ll try the new instructions and see how I do. I will figure this game out no matter how long it takes. LOL
Thanks again Lura for such a great site.
Lura 08.08.09 at 3:20 pm
Genevieve: it looks like the 10th anniversary celebration “events” will happen sometime around the 2nd or 3rd week of September. The weekend challenge is the 11th-15th.
Pat 08.08.09 at 3:44 pm
Lura, I am surprised, my find a badge works perfectly and i use it almost daily..if i am working on a rank badge, i always reload a premium or mix and match and automatically achieve it while going for rank–it doesnt give me a new badge, but free tokens to spend at the mini mall (wink).
Lura 08.08.09 at 3:54 pm
Pat: I understand that people like to re-activate a badge they’ve already earned for more tokens, but that doesn’t fit my definition of “works perfectly”. If I’ve earned the badge, I’d like to be able to un-check the box for “Include badges I’ve earned” so that I can filter them out. The only way to see if I’ve earned a Mix-n-Match or premium badge is to dig through the album it’s in (which can be difficult since I own every Mix-n-Match that’s ever been released, but probably have only completed 50% of them). So I get what you’re saying, but the “Find a Badge” feature is still broken.
Pat 08.08.09 at 4:12 pm
Again, am surprised, my find-a-badge also works for that…if i check ones i have purchased, it has one color code for ones i have done and another shade of color on the activate button for those undone…
Bill 08.08.09 at 4:23 pm
Chelle – use Paypal to pay for everything. You don’t even need to make a Paypal account if you don’t want to, Paypal will allow you to pay with a credit card without making an account.
This also has the side benefits of (a) no auto renew (if you don’t want to renew any more, you don’t have to worry about canceling your account, and (b) your credit card information does not appear in your My Account section, so if your account gets hacked, there’s nothing to steal.
Lura 08.08.09 at 4:29 pm
Pat: I’m surprised at that! Here’s a screenshot I just took of my Chess Mix-n-Match badges. In this example, I used the dropdown to select Chess and Mix-n-Match badges, and checked both of the checkboxes for ‘purchased’ and ‘earned’. If I uncheck ‘earned’ the result is exactly the same. I have yet to earn the “Knights are Funny Horses” badge but the other three I have. The Activate button looks exactly the same for all four and there’s no way to tell that I have in fact completed three of the four badges. (On weekly badges, the word “Earned” is under the Activate button.)
It’s a little large to include inline in a comment, so please click on this link to view it.
The page *does* work if I uncheck ‘purchased’ and check only ‘earned’, then it shows me the three badges I’ve earned. That’s great, I guess, but it doesn’t clearly show me badges I have purchased, but not earned which is the whole point of why I use the “Find a Badge” page in the first place (because as I’ve said before, I have no interest in re-activating a badge for additional tokens).
Pat 08.08.09 at 5:14 pm
I hear what you are saying, but have not run into this because i use Either purchased OR earned, but not both at same time..so that must be the difference…it will show either activate or add to cart if not already purchased..i have a second account, from last christmas, and i do purchase those on sale, or activate those already purchased via this method, matching them up with challenges. These are never replays, and the tool is effective here too. maybe mine works and yours has a glitch…
Jan 08.08.09 at 5:47 pm
For anyone needing Euchre help, Brian is fantastic! He helped a bunch of us get the rated badge and none of us knew how to play so he coached us all. Was really nice about it and said now that we had played we the game we were from Ohio. Guess the game is popular in that state.
Brian, don’t mean to inundate you but just wanted to let you and others know how helpful you are and that people appreciate the help.
Kevin 08.08.09 at 6:58 pm
Here’s how I feel about HTP pages in general. What’s the point of creating them, if some players don’t read them to begin with? I do read them from time to time, if I am playing a game for a the first time and I have no clue what I’m doing. It annoys me on Badge Day when there are a few of those players who don’t take the time to read the HTP, ask how do you play when the HTP is in front of them. I hate to call it ignorance, but the HTP is there it’s just some aren’t open to reading it. Which really doesn’t serve it’s purpose to some.
I find them helpful, to some it may be a different story.
Kat F. 08.08.09 at 7:02 pm
Okaaayyy! Gotta ask some questions!
For: Herself, and EdC —How did you two find out about the confidential grooming habits of MY mini background?? LOL
And just where did you get this highly personal info?? I’d REALLY like to know!! AND why don’t I know all of this myself?? WHY didn’t I get the memo?? Or was there one?? ROFL :)
You said you read it?? WHERE?? Am I missing out on some news somewhere?? Please tell me, ok?? Would appreciate it alot! Need to know this stuff about my “stuff”, ya know what I mean?
For Chelle: I don’t have any trouble with Pogo charging me twice for my yearly membership, sorry you do!! That sounds like a pain in the “you know what”! I’d read them the riot act–ONCE…that’s all. If it happened again, they’d be real sorry to get a phone call from me! :(
For Lura and others looking for their Badges: Has anyone forgotten about the Page we used to have to find Badges?? The OLD Badge Central Page?? I still have the link. It doesn’t show M and M’s but it does show your badges a slightly different way if you want to check it out. It has the weekly, yearly, special, etc. on it. You just search . And it even has your FAVS too!! Wish the New Badge Central would bring that feature to us. They DID promise!! :(
Here’s the link to the Old Badge Central, if you want to re-visit it:
http://www.pogo.com/rating/badge-book.jsp?book=book-allchallenge&filter=null-none-4&yoff=0
Well, shoot!! Doesn’t look like that’s gonna link up, so just type in the first few words probably. Anyway, it’s the OLD Badge Central Search page. Maybe it will help some?? :) You can’t find that page anymore anywhere on Pogo now. But it still works! I’ve had it save forever . Glad I did ’cause I still use it sometimes. lol
Lura: Weren’t you gonna put the token payouts on the Badges for us?? You did say to remind you, lol lol As if you don’t have enough to do, right?? haha Thanks for all you do to make our experience at Pogo a better and more profitable one!!! ROFL
Now, Lura, can you do anything about Pogo Support?? (yep, I’m signing off!!) hahaha

BOUGHT THE NEW POCKET POGO SCRABBLE GAME AT K-MART TODAY FOR $24.99 AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH IT. TOOK ME 6 TRIES TO JSUT GET MY REGISTRATION CODE ENTERED TO POGO. ALSO THE SCREEN IS SO DARK THAT IT IS HARD TO READ THE DANG WORDS/ LETTERS. WHAT A WASTE OF MY MONEY.
Kat F. 08.08.09 at 7:03 pm
HEY!! It did link up!! Just click on it and it will take you right there….works good!!
Have a great weekend everyone!! :)

Bill 08.08.09 at 7:15 pm
Kat: with credit card renewals, Pogo runs an authorization on the card a few days before your account would expire, then they run a “real” charge when it’s time to renew. Chelle’s bank may be interpreting them as two separate charges (and they may be, I’ve never renewed with a credit card), and since Pogo has authorized her card twice when she only has the money for one charge in the bank, she overdraws her account.
(Though her bank charging her an overdraft fee for an authorization [that never completes] is shady at best … I’d look into another bank if I were in her position.)
Dan13 08.08.09 at 7:25 pm
Off Topic:
2 things that bug me….
1st the pogo hand held games seem to be a waste of money ya get non-pogo badges and tokens, big whoop. The screen basicly sucks and IMO it’s over priced for what ya get. Most likely the only point is to bring more people to POGO via the “free” 30 days. (they give the free 30 days anyway so no lost to them).
2nd I really really really wish they would give us something for all these tokens they seem to think are valuable. I would like to see us be able to buy Gems or POGO gear (Ts, cups, etc.) with the tokens we earn. And sure make the stuff expensive but dang, throw us a bone other then poofing tokens on 20 billion to 1 lotto type drawings. I would rather spend 1 million tokens on a T then poof them off to the wonder drawing.
Some sites like Clubbing.com do award you for playing with tangible items vice vertual points.
Ok rant off, have a good weekend all.
Connie 08.08.09 at 8:40 pm
I agree with Dan that we should be able to use our Pogo Tokens for Pogo items. Free advertising for them and we get to use our tokens. Another idea is to let us buy extra weekly badges with our tokens. I will never be able to win all of the weekly badges that I am behind at the rate of one per week.
Becky 08.08.09 at 11:04 pm
about the pocket pogo games. They have them at Target for 19.99 for the more expensive ones and 9.99 for the cheaper ones. I wonder why Kmart is charging so much for them. They are not on sale at Target, that’s a regular price.
Frank 08.09.09 at 12:20 am
I’ll piggyback Connie’s and Dan’s comment regarding purchasing items. I would enjoy to buy myself extra weekly badges, since I only joined Pogo nearly two years ago and I feel it’ll take me several years to complete older badge albums. I wouldn’t care if they placed it at a horrendous rate (i.e. 100,000 tokens per extra badge), since I have millions of unused tokens anyway. I never use them for their sweepstakes or whatever [I never knew you could until several months ago, honestly.].
I usually spend my Wednesday evenings getting the current weeks’ badges and spend some of my other free time playing new(er) games. So, it would be a nice opportunity to have a challenge to work toward, considering I do not purchase gems or badge albums (the latter being “yet” as I’ve been contemplating doing so to give me some extra incentive).
Gran 08.09.09 at 1:22 am
I love this site… Thanks for all you do for us. I have a question. A friend of mine can’t play CC at all she just keeps getting a server error. So I said I would help her keep up till, she get’s it fixed. Well when I sign in with her name I also get a server error. Why can I play the game with my name just fine and not hers.? Please someone help me?

CrazyBlonde 08.09.09 at 1:50 am
Ok I really need help!! So i bought the new yahtzee (pocket pogo) and i registered my code and all and i amazingly got it on the 1st try..anyhow i was reading the badge requierements and it says get 300 pts 500 pts and 700 pts to earn the 3 badges and you have to get them on the 1st game (reg yaht) well I have played lots and lots of games and 280 is my highest score…is it just me or is it impossible to score that many points in a reg game of yahtzee!?!?! Am I misreading or doing something wrong? cuz I cant score that many points in 1 game and i havent received a code for my badges…can someone plz help me, im getting really frustrated and about to throw that dadgum thing in the garbage lolll…ty Have a great sunday all
oh and btw I think pogo makes the rules alot harder than the games really are!! :)-
CrazyBlonde 08.09.09 at 1:52 am
Oh yeah I TOATALLY agree with Dan about the tokens…..pogo is always awarding you tokens and there isnt a darn thing u can do with them except for buy mini items…Honestly how much stuff can we get with millions and millions of tokens…way more than pogo has to offer LOL
Snowyjoke 08.09.09 at 5:38 am
Lura, you are right, when you want to play an Premium Badge or aan Mix and Madge badge, you can’t see what you have to do imiditately.
What I do is the following: I click on “Included I have earned” – try to remember or write it down when I have a lot and them I click on “Include I have purchased” and then you see the difference.
But you are right when you say that it would be easyer that there was a possibility to see imidiately what you allready have earned.
It would be better and faster, like the personal badges.
kiki 08.09.09 at 9:06 am
the thing to remember about being able to use your tokens for cash-value items is that they would then encounter the same legal issues that gems have currently. any time you receive goods or services in exchange for something–whether it be cash, credit, bartered services or goods, even an IOU–that something becomes currency and subject to international laws. these laws aren’t something pogo has any control over. tokens would then go the same route as gems–unavailable to some. imagine the outrage!
as for the HTP, i think it’s mostly adequate. in fact, i’ve picked up some valuable scoring tips by reading them. i wish, too, that they’d cover ranking info in more detail. what bugs me is when people come into the room without a clue of what the goal of the game is, and that IS covered by the HTP.
drkchclvr 08.09.09 at 9:16 am
The game instructions really only are the basics to the game. I look for more detailed instructions on sites like this one, or ask someone in the game who has a high rank…. that helps a lot more!
tigger 08.09.09 at 9:45 am
becky, that is normal price for the pocket pogo’s 9.99 are for the non touch screen and the touch screen ones are 19.99
Chelle 08.09.09 at 11:19 am
Thank you Kat and Bill for your input and advice. I definitely plan to use Paypal from now on. The first time it happened, I thought it was a mistake, so when I had to renew again, I didn’t think twice. When it happened the second time, I decided to never pay with my debit card again, but was pretty interested in whether or not anyone else had the same problem. I’d LOVE to switch banks. I’m with Bank of America right now and they just changed their policy (without telling me, by the way!) on overdraft fees. I never go into the negative, but this last time I did with Pogo, I wasn’t aware of it right away. The bank charged me 35 for overdrawing and then another 35 after 5 days! So frustrating! But it’s the only bank nearby, and I don’t drive so I have to stick with them for now. When I finally move, I’m soooooo switching to something else.
sandy z 08.09.09 at 11:31 am
I think pogo’s how to play is fine. If only people would read it for themselves lol. I have never had a problem with a new game after reading the instructions first, if necessary. Most of pogo’s game I already knew how to play or were really easy to pick up. The problem lies with the stupid and/or lazy people who can’t be bothered and expect everyone else to educate them.
AFrocks2001 08.09.09 at 11:33 am
Hey all…sure liek this site, so much helpful info..dont have any chess badges to do but i did save johns tips for a future challenge..thanks john..that saves a lot of us from torture lol
Does anyone know what happened to the Pogo Store? i went to go look last night and couldnt find it anywhere. Did they get rid of it?
One possible suggestion….could thread comments be numbered? i come back several times to read them and have to search for where i left off…..
thanks so much for an awesome site that just keeps getting better!!!
Lura 08.09.09 at 11:36 am
AFrocks2001: comments are now numbered. Ask and ye shall receive… well, when it’s an easy fix, at least. ;)
Also, the gear store took a hiatus for a ‘redesign’ a while ago and then all traces of it disappeared off both the development site and live sites. ;( I hope it comes back, but who knows with Pogo anymore…
tigger 08.09.09 at 12:09 pm
sandy, i totally strongly DISAGREE with you and think that was VERY rude!!we can read the how to’s all we want, but most are NOT understandable, there are some that can, ALOT that cannot!i read them but cannot understand hearts for example, or euchre, and even some of the nonsense games like stellar sweeper, i have issues with…some ppl r intelligent when it comes to understanding how to’s, some are not..and THIS is why i do NOT ask for help in rooms, but instead come on here for the understanding, ty lura for a wonderful site!
Maggie 08.09.09 at 12:22 pm
Chelle, Bank of America has something called ShopSafe. It is easy
to use and you get a new number each time you need one. It is an
online service but you can use it for phone orders also. You put in the amount that the card is for and they can not overcharge you.
Lura, thanks so much for numbering the comments! I have wanted that for a long time but did not want you to bother with yet another
thing to do.
shelly 08.09.09 at 12:27 pm
Hi Lura.
I don’t have much to say for a change this weekend…lol except a great big thank you for numbering the replies.
Will all thread replies be numbered from now on or just the weekend threads?
Thanks
Mike 08.09.09 at 12:31 pm
Hi all-
I have a question with Internet Explorer 8. I recently installed it, and I can view the minis and regular badges, but the premium badges are not there, just an “X”. The small picture is there and animated, just not the badge itself.
What program would I have to install for that? It works perfectly on Firefox, but Firefox doesn’t work well on my computer! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Happy weekend all!
terri 08.09.09 at 12:44 pm

I am not the smartest person but neither am I stupid or lazy and I read the instructions and I still do not understand cribbage. I play it only if it is a badge and I understand other people’s frustration with the instructions
Sandy 08.09.09 at 1:06 pm
Lura, thank you for numbering the comments. It makes it easier.
kathy M 08.09.09 at 1:37 pm
I am willing to help anyone with Euchre games, to teach, play and win the badges they need. I have done quite a few ppl already in that game.
As for instructions I agree they suck big time and need to be layed out alot better in most games. For some instructions serve no purpose and some ppl need to learn by doing and I love to help ppl in that dept. I once asked for help in EUchre way back when and was told I’ll help u but only if it isn’t for a badge… Go figure but then one guy said I’ll help u and he taught me how to play and stayed with me til i had my 3 wins.. He was a sweetie.
The find a badge makes me cross cause all the badges say release date of Nov 06 which isn’t so for starters, then it doesn’t show me which I have earned and which I can activate which is the main reason I use “find a badge” but it doesn’t work for me so I wrote down all 17 mix and match albums and what was left in each album for what game and what I have to do but I would REALLY love for pogo to fix the “find a badge” links.
Lura I love this site… ty. I keep track of ranks in here, progress wtih yrly albums, boughten albums and all the mix and match albums too. I even use it for answers to trivia / crossword cove too. Keep up the great work.
For people who need help in games ( rated or not ) look me up. Only ppl on my friends list can see me but anyone can message me. My nick is dreamykoolkat and I love pogo. My time is limited until late Aug as I am soon going away and my x-change student from Japan goes back home on the 19th but anytime in late Aug I will be available for help to those who need it..
Have a great wkend all…
Bill 08.09.09 at 1:46 pm
Chelle: You will want to contact Pogo to have them cancel the auto renewal process on your account, so they don’t try to automatically charge your card when the time comes.
kathy M 08.09.09 at 1:49 pm
I use my credit card yrly. I joined in Oct 06 and have never had a dbl charge. I use my crdit card to buy gems too and have never had an issue with Pogo charging twice. Sry chelle u have such and issue with ur bank. I will def not pay for the overdraft charges if 2 charges went through and only 1 was supposed to. I would check into it.
kathy M 08.09.09 at 2:06 pm
Debbie I have used my credit card to purchase albums for others several times and have never had a “fraud” email come to me. I have even gone into a friends account and hit use diff credit card and put my card on their site to buy them gems and have never had an issue with my CC company… Sory u had such an issure though.
kathy M 08.09.09 at 2:09 pm
My experience with people I mute in one room and if I happen to be in the same room again the mute automatically comes up again. I don’t have to do it. You can also type /mute * and it will mute the whole room but still allow u to see ur badge progress without turning off chat. Then type in /unmute * and it will return the room to normal..
Jan 08.09.09 at 2:55 pm
From reading the previous comments, I was wondering why we couldn’t trade tokens for extra personal challenges. We have paid for the membership so that should cover weekly challenges. I can understand how gems, M/Ms, and PBAs would be a different issue given Kiki’s explanation. It would seem that there are a large number of people that are either new to Pogo or didn’t start doing weekly challenges as soon as they found Pogo who would love the choice to trade tokens for extra personal challenges.
Tigger, I agree with you. I am an intelligent person but I feel the HTP sections need work and that some games just don’t make sense to some people and they need some help. People have different learning curves, even playing games. I know that’s one of the reasons I appreciate this site, so that I can find people to answer questions and help with badges without causing a chat room fiasco in a game.
Mike, I am still running IE 7 and I still get an X for some of my badges. It’s been worse since the alignment issue started in the badge books.
Lura, the numbering on the comments is very helpful.
Off to appreciate air conditioning since it is oppressively hot here and spend quality time with my computer.
cat53 08.09.09 at 2:59 pm
Hi all
I think it would be difficult to write directions on the harder card games. When I’m learning a new game, I live the directions open and refer back to them often, but also jumping in and playing helps along with little tips from players in the room. Eventually I get it. I will say this with even chess and the bridge badge, i had no idea how to play and didn’t want to learn, i just kept playing and somehow eventually earned the badge, which i think is hilarious.
Lura 08.09.09 at 3:02 pm
I’d actually been meaning to turn the numbering on for this site for a while, I just don’t visit that menu very often. Now that it’s on, all past and future comments in EVERY commentable thread will be numbered.
cat53 08.09.09 at 3:14 pm
p.s. I played cribbage with my dad growing up, and this helped alot, otherwise would be hard to learn.
EdC 08.09.09 at 3:17 pm
Kat F.- No big secret actually, the information about your mini item was in last weeks editor column. Have a good Sunday all.

I wonder why people think Pogo should let us purchase things (i.e. mugs, t-shirts, etc.) with tokens when the same people call tokens worthless. If they’re worthless to you, why do you think they’d be worth anything to Pogo? LOL! Just my opinion.
Thanks for the insights on the handheld games. I’d thought about buying a couple but probably won’t considering the comments I’ve been reading.

No worries, I don’t have auto-renewal on my account. I buy myself a gift subscription every 6 months.
Anyway, I’ve contacted both Pogo and the bank. Pogo either had no idea or pretended they had no idea. The bank blamed me and said I should keep more money in my account. That is true, but I hate the bank so eh…whatever. Paypal it is. Just curious about the experience of others I guess.

Do I think the instructions that Pogo supplies are adequate? I would have to say yes. I have found myself many times asking how is this done or that done…. A simple perusal of the game instructions will either explain it or give a general idea of how it is done. I don’t always read the how to play because I like learning without looking but when I do get stuck, there are very few games that I have ever had trouble with. As an example. I have NO CLUE how to play bridge but there have been a couple Bridge challenges. After a couple games and reading the instructions, I started getting a better understanding and have gotten those badges. Now do I know how to play bridge? NOPE! But the instructions are enough that if I kept playing and referring to the How To Play, I would get a better understanding. Like Euchre. Never knew how o play, but actually kinda like the game now that it makes sense. How? I read the How to Play. Yes there are times I feel the How to Play instructions could be a little clearer and concise, but they work…. LOL.
I will say this though… If it is found that one does not understand the How to Play instructions, then a) Pogo should make them a little clearer or precise, or b) ASK SOMEONE how has played and does well. It may sound crazy to some people, but this is also a good way of meeting new people and becoming friends. Either way, nothing beats the experience of playing a game and learning things on your own because when done this way, it tends to stick.

I guess no one can help me with the question I asked above. It is just that I don’t get why it is working like that, very weird to me. Guess no one else has had this happen to them. Oh well thanks anyway. Thanks Lura you have a great site here, read it everyday. Keep up the good work.
