I hate Turbo 21 but just got my badge in 10 minutes. As I’m not bothered about rank & tokies I just kept busting 1 lane and pairing up aces with picture card or 10′s.

Not done DCR yet but my advice is concentrate on clearing out a couple of stacks per game, don’t go for scores just clear out stacks.

I should’ve checked this weeks badges before I did the Mix ‘n’ Match Turbo 21 badge at the weekend! lol

Deborah: Aww! At least this week’s one is a quickie. BTW, if you haven’t seen it, I recently put this page up that shows upcoming weekly badges:

Enjoy!

Wow, such quick challenges this time. Now I won’t lose my mind on the challenges this time around (at least i don’t have to learn to play Hearts or Payday Freecell anymore).

Just a question regarding personal badges: Do you know when next they’ll let us do the 3 personal badges in one week?

Since the name of the game this week in DCR is to clear out stacks, winning should be put on the backburner in the Auction rooms so you can get the Extra Dice and Star Dice cards in the Auction Rooms.

Daniel: the last two personal challenge marathon weeks were in the middle of February and May of this year. I’d expect we’ll see one this month.

i love this weeks badges :) dcr is my favorite game, although i always play in NO AUCTION anyway….but my best advice is to focus on the “exactly” and “of a kind” cards to clear, I find that I get the bonus on those the most often.
I do enjoy turbo 21, but if you don’t, the easiest way to make sure you don’t end up missing any of the 4 aces in a deal, is put all the cards on 1 pile and leave 10, J, Q or K on the other 3 piles and clear them as you get aces.
Now I get to tackle lots and lots of bowling as my weekly….i’m trying to get 40 strikes for a mix n match so might as well get 25 strikes for an older badge. Urg I hate bowlin.
Lura, does pogo typically give a marathon week about every 3 months? I guess it’s completely random?

cookie: yes, I think so. It’s been once every 3 months so far this year. And if I recall correctly, it’s been once every 3 months for a long time — I checked some time last year and confirmed it was a regular, calendar-based occurrence.

turbo 21- theres only four aces so make 4 blackjacks and hit new game (you will get credit)
dcr- work on the o.a.k cards and the exactly cards they clear most often

Sorry Cupcake, but what does o.a.k stand for? I don’t play this game often so I am not familiar with these initials.

Thanks =;-)

O.A.K. stands for one of a kind. I’m not exactly sure that I agree totally with that strategy though. If I am playing just to get clear bonuses, i would focus on the odds and evens since in three rolls you would surely clear that field almost every round of three rolls. Seriously, I have played that game a lot and it won’t take but about 15 games to get the 30 clears total. Just have fun and enjoy that game. I think you will learn to like it. And, don’t forget to have fun chatting with some of the others playing it as well. Good luck.

ladybug, the same as cookie mentioned in the post above, “of a kind” and “exactly” cards columns. These two seem to work best for clearing the easiest and I’ve been able to get both of them in most games. With “of a kind” you have to get 2, 3, 4, then 5 of a kind. In “exactly” you have to get your dice to equal 7, 11, 21 and then 27.

CindyLou4764 08.05.09 at 4:06 pm

Sorry, “Exactly” is dice to equal 7, 13, 21 and 27.

I agree, it is easier to stick with the “of kind” card but I also do the “exact” card and I can clear at least 2 cards per game. Good luck everyone.

Lura….THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS SITE. God Bless you.

o.a.k. stands for of a kind (3,4,5)

Just wanted to say thanks to John for the help with chess. I did one for my personal this week. And now will be able to finish up the others in the coming weeks.

Thank goodness two badges this week that this l ol l (little old lady) likes and is able to play. A SPECIAL ” Thank You” to Cherie last week for helping me get my Hearts badge, might still be there if not for her help!
Also “thank you, Lura” for this site. The hints here help me so much, I have daughters and grandson that are on Pogo but not yet on here. The free tokens help as well. I’ve gotten Badge Tracker almost up to date, that’s a big help, to see where you need to put your time in order to get that next badge. Thanks again to you and to Cherie!!

In regards to 6160′s message about focusing on Star and Extra dice…

I wouldn’t bother now. I thought of that myself, but everyone would catch on by the third round what my strategy was, and some people would bid 600 for the dice. Tried moving to different rooms but it spread like wildfire.
