Many new free tokens. Go to the mini mall and scan down to the promotions link. 4 new token offers.
on 1st class solitaire badge, even though you cant clear the board, try to at least go a to king in one pile, move cards back and forth. I havent won a game yet but have managed to clear 5 foundations

Bobbi gave great advice, sometimes if you are stuck, you can still switch things around and I didn’t think about that. For those of you who hate to lose tokens, contrary to rumors, I’ve noticed no difference in popcorn based on bet – 1 or 5.
I just wanted to say how glad I am that BH is here and a supportive environment. I went into the solitaire room and was having some really bad draws – on my 7th game of not getting anywhere the chat was filled with players saying, “This badge is a joke,” “They should make it hard,” and something about monkeys being able to do it. Pretty much the last thing you need to hear if you are frustrated. I left to work on the other badge. We are all levels of skill and luck – and I totally respect that, but that was NOT what I needed first thing in the morning! (I needed Bobbi’s trick!) GL everyone and have fun!

I always recommend people run through the links every week or so to make sure they get all of them, or at least try out the new links when the link on the right sidebar is updated. It currently says “Free Pogo Tokens (new 7/21)”.

in FCS, don’t play the first play you have when starting to go through the deck. play all the following plays till you have no more. then go back to that first play and play it. the deck will shift again and give you additional opportunities to clear the deck. now, if your first play is a 7 of clubs for example, don’t forget and play that 7 of spades–keep the play open.
don’t play the suit enhancer cards right away either. they’re also good for shifting the deck on future passes.
slots are slots. ain’t no magic there, unless you have harry’s wand. they should have saved this challenge until they haul out the movie minis. or saved it until jack black wins his 5th oscar…

I thought the badges were fairly easy this week. Especially, FCS. It just seemed that winning was easier this week. I won 3-4 games in a row. I normally struggle to get 2 in a row. So that badge went quickly.
Showbiz Slots was tedious but I got it done in about 2 hours. Finished my personal as well. Now I can spend more time on other badges this week! I’m still working on the Safari Browser Badge (which is taking forever).

I’ve found that if I play every hand dealt I will get about a 40% win ratio. However if I use the NEW GAME button to deal new hands until I have 2 aces showing, one black and one red, my win percentage increases to about 80%.

Great advice, kiki! Thanks I was having trouble on that one… am I the only one that thinks its nearly impossible to win a game in FCS? Just curious… I’m great at WCS but its cause of the “shuffle” and “grab” powerups.

This is a bit of an offshoot topic, but does anyone know how to get the 6th anniversary Special Edition Badge? I got the link to it in the newsletter but all it does is take you to your badge collection. Is there something I am missing?
Btw, FSC was pretty smooth going til I got 20 foundations, then I had about 10 “bad” games in a row. I’ll admit, I’m getting sort of tired of this slew of solitaire badges.
I haven’t gotten to Showbiz yet but my fiancee received badge in under two hours.

Both were easy this week and just time consuming but not unbearable. As much as I hate slots it still only took me just over an hour to get the badge so compared to let’s say Ali baba Blue Sapphire, it was a joy.

woke up @ 7:15 cdt and pretty much my first, or at least second thought was about fantasy items at the mini mall! (go ahead, i laughed @ myself…). turned on comp, headed for coffee and back to check out the mall. wellll, imagine my disappointment as they only have 2 backgrounds posted at the time. and yes, of course i bought them! came straight to bh to find some ppl to commisserate with only to find i’m first (only??) to post about it. *sigh* guess i can only go back to games and wait patiently. was hoping to pass the time w/ crossword cove, but not there yet either. yeah, THAT must’ve been my second thought. *smiles*
badges were almost too easy again. and yes, i moved the cards around also. otherwise, i stay away from fcs because of the frustration of an old school soli game. pogo spoiled us w/ shuffle, etc. buttons!

widow: the mini mall items have been coming out “late” for the past few months — usually around 1pm EST. New games — like Crossword Cove — come out on Tuesdays in the wee hours of the morning. Crossword Cove is scheduled to be released next Tuesday.
I’ve loosened my moderating belt this week, trying to allow any comment that’s been posted, but let’s try to keep this as on-topic as possible, so people searching for hints and tips on these badges aren’t having to wade through talk about the anniversary badge or other topics which would be irrelevant a year or whenver from now if they’re re-activating or activating one of these weeklies for the first time. :)

Don’t know if it helps or not but realizing you don’t win too many games in a row in first class after i win a game i hit new game 6 or seven times then play til i win then hit 6 or 7 new games before i play.

i was in hosp and came home and saw that owl badge i didnt even get thst badge an alot of people was saying they didnt get it either can pogo bring it back for pppl that didnt get it ,i be so happy if that happen

Ro: any upcoming badges are subject to change. Even this week’s Showbiz Slots changed from 150 tickets to 150 popcorn buckets (although I’m not sure why, they seem pretty even — maybe a programming problem). The Monopoly one may change too, but at least it’s not Monopoly Slots! Hah!
