Happy Weekend Everyone!
It’s been a pretty chaotic week behind the scenes here, and I’m a little behind on posting all of the news I have received. Expect a couple new posts over the weekend about a new premium badge album, July’s Mix-n-Match badges, and an update on the Pocket Pogo games.
So, Summer is officially almost here and I don’t know about you, but I am seriously in need of a vacation. Later this month, I’m taking a short getaway with my husband and I am really looking forward to turning off my cell phone and laptop and just watching the water flow by. Are you going anywhere this summer? What’s your favorite type of getaway?
As usual, this thread is open, any questions I ask are just a suggestion. You can chat about anything in here from badges to the weather to anything you can think of.

some of them are easy lol, that addiction solitaire, omg!i love the game, but that was bad lol..as for going anywhere this summer, not quite sure, but would love to go somewhere i can just relax, but not too long, cannot be without pogo!lol

woooo hoooooo wkend here.in one way im glad summer is here but in another im not,as im going in for operation july to have my wrist totally reconstructed after i smashed it falling down the stairs,i know should have drank more water thats all i hear people telling me lmao.but it a nasty op as the bones grew bk all wrong so has to be smashed then have bone taken from hip to hopefully graft it bk to way it should look,then have it screwed and plated and back into cast,so no beer or fun for me over the summer months,but can have one hell of a party once im all healed cant wait for that.i hope e1 has a fantastic weekend

Summer is coming….yuck! lol I don’t really like the hot weather but to those of you that do I hope you enjoy it!
I don’t have much to say really except I am soooooo pleased to announce I only have 1….yes 1….badge left to get and then I have no outstanding old badges left. Up until the last few weeks I was saving old ones for the weeks when we have to get say 6 badges in 2 weeks but since they changed the way we can now re-earn ones already earnt I am catching up.
Its a 2003 Dice Derby and I have to win 600 or more tokies 10 times.
To maximise my chances of getting 600 tokies I am playing the 9 lap races and praying for big spins……if anyone has any other suggestions/advice i would be glad to hear from you!! :0)

Completed all my badges yesterday, is it Wednesday again yet?? LOL Just got the Cookbook album as a gift and still finishing the Play To Win book…. Only about 60 more mix and match to complete LOL
I’m going on vacation in just 8 days! I’ll be gone for two weeks down in Florida. Boy I hope that the weather is nice! Like Lura, I can use the break and just looking forward to turning the computer off and relaxing… God knows i need a break lol.

Happy weekend everyone! I have to say, that I agree with Mike. The challenges are getting easier, (as long as it isn’t hearts! LOL) and the badges are getting uglier by the week! I would have thought, that Pogo would have come out with their special Father’s Day, Mix and Match badge, by yesterday (Thursday), Since, Father’s Day is almost less than a week away. Anyone know when they will be releasing this badge? Have a great weekend everyone! :)

I’m working on the Lottso Express mix n match badge and was wondering if anyone has any tips for reaching the 5th goal.
Not going anywhere this summer but in September a friend and I are going on a scrabbooking 4 day retreat at the the Sunset Shores in Grayling, MI. Should be a lot of fun. Just hanging around home for the summer and relaxing.

Kevin asked a gr8 question….when ARE the new games coming out…Boggle Bash is supposed to be out this month and I have been checking everyday, as well as the new Fairy Godmother Deluxe. Pogo has not released a Deluxe game since Nov when Bowling was released. I heard they haven’t because of all the people buying it and sharing/selling the codes. Thats just a rumor though lol… Any….I hope everyone has a gr8 weekend!!! ;)

Ben, Kevin: the new games are coming out soon. That’s all anyone can say, because it’s about as true as can be without being psychic. :) Sadly, you can ask when games are coming out til you’re blue in the face, but the answer will always be ‘soon’. Pogo’s development cycle is somewhat predictable, but not enough for me or anyone to give out a solid date.
As far as the deluxe games go, Pogo hasn’t released any because they haven’t created any. Fairy Godmother Tycoon Unlocked is a little ways out, too — just not ready for primetime yet.
Kat F.: thanks for reporting that ‘missing badge’ issue to Pogo. I’ve had my fill of dealing with their (lack of) customer support this week in trying to nail down more details about the Pocket Pogo games. If I get one more form letter based upon the subject line of my support ticket, I … well… hmm.. I’ll probably roll my eyes like I always do. Sigh.

Hey Shelly,
A help for two for the dice derby badge: If you can round up three friends to purposefully loose in those 9 lap games, that can help speed you along. That way you won’t have any ‘lost’ games. Alternatively you could always double browse against yourself as well (you’ll need more than one screen name and browser for it to work properly). Good luck with the badge, that one was a bit of a bear to earn!

Happy weekend everyone. Thought everyone would like to know, I got an email from Pogo the other day stating that the Fathers Day M&M will be available on the 14 June, so on Sunday.
Am all caught up on badges so working on ranks, trying to get Tri Peaks finished but thats a while.
As for a break, I am going away at the end of July, off to Turkey for a week for a well earned rest in the sun. Will most likely spend it on the beaches, by the pool and sightseeing

Diana, I got my badge tonight and it takes a few hours. It works for me to try the megalotto. When you have luck it gives you a lot of tokens. You must find the smilyface a few times to get 4000 of more. Another thing I found out, is that you can fill also the numbers behind the scratchcards, so when you put there your numbers on, it counts 1,5 or 2 times and give you also a lot of more tokens. When you can’t find it, just send me an email or looks if im online on pogo, my name there is also Snowyjoke and maby I can help you to explain. It is possible to reacht the 5th round and for me it was possible to get more then 20.000 tokens, but you need luck on the Megalottso.
When you want me to help you, just put me on your friendlist and try to find me. I’m from the Netherlands, so I’m not there after 7 for you in the evening, because its here then midnight ;-)
Also the yellow cards give more tokens then the other ones!

KayentaJane, Thanks for the tips. I had thought about dbl browsing against myself but I only have the one paying membership and several free names. Dice Derby happens to be a Club Pogo game so I can’t dbl browse……nevermind I’ll get it come hell or high water!! lol

dan where abouts u going in turkey,i went to kas few yrs ago and has to be one of the most amazing countries i been to.if u get a chance go on the trip where u go to a mud bath then lunch and on to turtle beach it a great trip.

How does someone double browse against themselves? I tried it, with two different screen names, but after a few seconds, pogo came back with the message, that the connection to server had been lost.

LOL, first I have to say thanks,,,,i thought fathers day was THIS Sunday! not that it matters…….just means I have more time to get out a father’s day card to my dad. LMAO or show up at his doorstep! He’s not getting younger, so I do try to go as often as I can to see him.
As far as badges being easy or hard…..lol, I know I have 6 days to get badge, some I spread out, some I take my time. I just wish people would take time to read directions for games, I get soooo sick of them asking what to do!!! LOL really irritates me. But I manage to keep my hands and fingers quiet! Quite an accomplishment for me.
AS for lottos express, i can get between 4-5 lottso cards per game. But dang I find the game boring!!! LOL

StormChaser, you have to download another browser onto your computer, like (Mozilla) Firefox. Then, after you get to the game you want on your regular browser, you click into the other browser, go to pogo, and the other acct. You will have both screennames up and you play both names against each other. Except Dice Derby will be a little hard to do that since you have to play both names at the exact same time in that game, and you are timed.

We are going to Side and I can’t wait, have heard lots of good things about Turkey. Been almost a year since I last had a vacation so it is well earned, although I may get withdrawal from Pogo but that wont last when I am enjoying myself lol.

I agree with Faith and Ben…Mozilla Firefox is a good one to use with youe IE.
AOL uses IE so I use Firefox with my AOL.
Another tip for double browsing is to change the screen resolution. This will make everything smaller on your screen, But the two windows will be easilier to manage when playing games. (you have to keep switching between players). If you dont know how to do this….just right click on your desktop(where all the icons are) go down to properties…than when this comes up click on the setting tab(at the top) you will see screen resolution slide the bar to a greater number (I use 1152×864). than press ok.
This will make the 2 windows more player friendly for switching names.
note you do not have to do this…I prefer to do this. No need to do this if you you have a widescreen.

Well, after 4 days of going back and forth with Pogo Customer Support, and like Lura, dealing with their (lack of) support with their usual automated no help responses, I finally asked them to escalate my question to a supervisor, and suddenly on the 5th day I FINALLY received the rank 50 Jigsaw Treasure Hunter Badge in my badge book that I couldn’t get because I was stuck on rank 47 due to a technical issue with the game when it was first released! They actually wanted me to reset my stats, LOL, I told them if I did that I’d have to start all over and I wasn’t going to do that when it was their issue to begin with! I just hate dealing with them!
The weather here in Colorado has been quite stormy this week. Rain, thunderstorms, and even tornado’s flying around in the afternoon. I’m not complaining tho, it’s been so dry here, we really need the rain!
My favorite type of getaway is to go somewhere secluded, mounains, beach, whatever. No phones, no computers, no tourists within a certain mile range! Relax, explore, and relax some more.

I got an unexpected opportunity to go on a trip this summer that I am quite excited about. I will not be starting my Pinochle badge until Saturday that week and I know that I have offered help for people that need it for that game. If you would like me to help on that badge let me know here and I will help you that weekend instead of the start of badge week. Don’t worry, we will get it done!
Pouring rain here last night and today. But I like weather where I can keep the AC off. I have way too many reasons to have to run it as soon as the heat and humidity kicks in due to health issues in my family.
I have seen lots of special edition badges, some of which have been shown for up to a year. Any idea when they will be realesed. Some I can figure which game they will be for and some iI can’t. Also, used to be heads up on special badge weekends and personal challenge marathons. Those have disappeared as well. anyone know anything?
One more thing, the Poppit M/M badge, we have done the dice challenge before. There are other toys in the balloons. This is not the first time Pogo has repeated a badge. I think they could use a push on creativity on badges both in artistry and in at least rotating the requirements for games with lots of challenges like Poppit.

Ok thinking more about this dbl browsing to get my Dice Derby badge I need more advice from you guys :0)
I will play with my paying name on IE. A free name with a free pass using firefox so that will leave me 2 bots to beat (the free name player will just sit at the table and not roll dice at all)
Could I use more passes on more free names seeing as they all use the same e-mail addy? Are passes dependant on e-mail addy or screen name?
If I can do the above what other browsers would you advise to use?
At the moment I only have IE and Firefox.

Hi Everyone and Happy Weekend,
I’m a bit confused here with the Lottso Express Badge…anyone surprised? lol I’ve been earning THE Super Lottso Card AND several of the Mega Lottso Cards, even the ones with the Smiley Faces where I get to re-scratch! Yeah me!! Have 14 of the 30 so far, got them last night.
But TODAY, SUNDAY, none of the Super Lottso Cards are counting…WHAT’S THE DEAL?
Anyone else having this problem? I know what the cards are, how to get them, etc. NO!! I’m NOT writing to Support, LOL LOL Been there, done that!! You’re very welcome, Lura, regarding my reporting the “missing badges” by the way, but what am I doing wrong, IF I’m doing anything wrong? I don’t think I am, but why aren’t they counting? I get all the way thru, Super and Mega Lottso Cards too, thru the Fifth Goal and all of that to the end of the game….and still they don’t count.
Is it me?? Of course it doesn’t take much to confuse me, lol But I’m really messed up here!! Should I switch rooms, try again later, or WHAT?
I’ve read and DO understand all the tips that have been given, even printed some of them out, lol I even read the How To on the Game, but in the meantime….I’m GIVING IT UP!!

There have been a few comments posted today about the Pocket Pogo games. I’m not going to approve them right now because I don’t have all of the facts gathered yet and am still waiting on an ‘official’ response from Pogo before I make a formal post on my web site. I don’t want to spread any false information. The “unofficial” details so far are that no, they aren’t being canceled and there was a miscommunication about release date and a few web sites listed them as unavailable. Do not fret tho, once I get this sorted out I’ll make a post. If worst comes to worst, we may just have to wait until they’re in stores (Target, Kmart, and Walmart), but I suspect within a few business days this will all be sorted out. Until then, sit tight and thanks for your patience. :)
And yes, while I’m on vacation I’ll still be posting the Trivial Pursuit answers. I wouldn’t leave you out in the cold like that. :)

Kat F.. only the Super Lottso cards count towards the bagde, or thats what the requirements is at least BUT you aint the only one having problems with your efforts not counting i have counted up to 15 super lottso cards not counting for me, personally i think Pogo just like to mess up on challenges and make it harder for us!!
Regards to going anywhere this summer, me and my partner have just had a baby girl so we will be saving up and going away next year :)

Lura, how do you get all the Trivial Pursuit Daily 20 answers like that? Do you purposely get all your answers wrong to get the correct answers? Just curious, I hope it wasn’t a problem to answer. If that was true, thanks for sacraficing your time and helping all of us guess each question lol.

Kevin: Norma has been submitting the Trivial Pursuit answers to me on a daily basis for a few months now, but before she volunteered (and now on days she isn’t around to do them) I was doing them myself. When I did them, I’d make my best guess and type the correct answers out in between questions, whether or not I got the question wrong. Luckily I type about 95wpm, so it wasn’t that bad. I’m pretty sure Norma does it the same way.

Thanks for your note Matt: Yes, I know only the Super Lottso cards counted, but was just saying that I was able to get the Megas too. And letting you all know that I DO know how to play the game, lol Not that it’s helping me much!! (Arrrggghhh!!)

While ago I got TWO Super Lottso’s in the same game and they didn’t count, well, let me tell ya, THAT was HARD!!! How many do I actually have to win to get them to count?? Anyone know that answer?? (roll eyes)

kat i had that problem on weds with few not counting so i rebooted changed rooms and then they counted again,but theres quite a few people having this prob,ud think pogo would close game down for awhile to fix it but oh no they want us to get stressed out,i think if they spent less time bringing out all this new stuff and spent more time correcting on going probs things would run better,with all the money they get from us they can afford to fix problems.

I haven’t had any problems using the free passes on throw-away names that are on the same e-mail address. There’s a free one month pass that’s out right now, and is good to redeem until July 1st, I believe. Here’s the link if you don’t have it: http://www.pogo.com/wwmag
If you need to quadruple browse, you can always add Opera and Google’s Chrome to the list of browsers. I personally haven’t got Opera or Chrome to work right for me in Pogo, they both insist that I don’t have java installed when I do. But other people have had better luck with those browsers than I’ve had.
When I need to quadruple browse, I usually do it with two computers. Each with Firefox and IE running on it. It can get kind of comical when I’m staring at one screen and moving the mouse for the other, but it does work fairly well. I’m using the qb and throw-away names to slowly work on those ratings badges in pinochle.

I have read that some people are having problems in Pogo after getting the upgrades for Java and IE8. I had already upgraded Java, but not IE8, so I am waiting to do that. I didn’t have any problems playing any Pogo game I tried, until yesterday. I went into Phlinx yesterday after not playing it for a while. I can get into the game, can chat with people, but I do not receive any of the balls….nothing is on the screen. I went into Battle Phlinx, and that works fine. Is anyone else having problems with playing Phlinx? Since all the other games I have tried work, I have no idea why Phlinx doesn’t.

I just wanted to address the Google Chrome Java Issue. Google Chrome’s Java is separate from Internet Explorer’s java download. You will need to download java for Google Chrome from the java website and that should fix the problem your having with chrome. Also, Opera also is individually different from ie’s java and a different version of java is needed for that also. I use chrome for pogo and it’s extremely more stable in my opinion than internet explorer. For the pogo user’s that also like to double or quadruple browse, chrome is by far an excellent choice.

Hello and GL everyone! I haven’t had any trouble with Pogo, but I’m on Safari and Firefox… now, it has only been about a year that Pogo has the “you might not be able to play on a Mac, we’re working on it” notice up, but who’s complaining? I thought that was a scam to get us all signed up for the club… ok it worked. :)
I can’t wait for the mini golf to come out – I hope it is fun and interesting as I loved mini golf as a kid but have some muscular problems which make RL anything harder and I can’t make the shots I see in my head.
Just a funny for you, watch out for those spell checkers! I was catching up on my Word Search and the topic was “Wedding” and the word was “vowels” – unless I’m totally crazy, I think the submitter meant vows. ;) HAGW!

Hey everyone…Good News!!
I FINALLY did it!! I got my badge in Lottso Express, WOO HOOO HOOO!!!
I said to myself last night, “Self, you are NOT gonna let ‘em beat ya”!! So I turned the puter back on and went into a room, got two more Super Lottso cards—THEY DIDN’T COUNT either!! Logged off, got back on and went into another room, got another Super, it didn’t count, logged off….you getting the picture? lol lol FInally, I went into a room where the cards DID count and I stayed in that room until I got my Badge!
When they started counting I had my Badge in no time! :) I could have had that badge in a day, (practically from the beginning), if they had ALL counted to begin with. (grumbles)
Thanks Shaz for your note–BUT WHY IN THE HECK DID YOU WAIT TIL NOW TO TELL ME THIS??? ROFL Just kiddin’ ya, k? I appreciate any tips that may help me in the future….re-booting was one thing I didn’t try and will try in the future!! Thanks again. :)
I’m having a little problem with Java but not the one everyone else is having…my problem is I have the Java 12 Update because that’s the one Support told me Pogo Games like better—DID YOU ALL KNOW ABOUT THAT?? Anyway, I need to “uncheck” something in the ADVANCED TAB in the Console’s Menu…..When you open the Console, under the Advanced Tab, you’ll see a tab called Java Plug In. Then you’ll see “Enable the next -generation Java plug-in” under that tab. THAT should be unchecked and I CAN’T uncheck mine. It’s checked and grayed out. Also, in the MISCELLANEOUS TAB down at the bottom, there is one called “Java Quick Starter”—I need to check that one, but it won’t let me because it’s unchecked and grayed out.
Anyone know how to fix this?? I have NO CLUE here….I’ve never seen this before. I’ve downloaded or re-downloed Java 12 before and I’ve always had these options available. Now I don’t for some reason.
I’ve got Windows Vista Ultimate, Service Pack 1, 64 bit operating system and with Windows 7. It has a quad-core processor with 2.20 GHz and 8 GB of RAM/Memory. Have not updated to IE8 yet and won’t til more bugs are worked out. HELP???? Is that enough info to get any tips?
Please help if you can, this is driving me nuts!! I could be doing so much better if I could change those settings…sigh.
I do hope everyone that’s having trouble with the Lottso Badge finds their way here and reads all the great tips so they can get their badge too….Lura, your site has helped me so many times and I am so grateful to all of the other players who have written in with their great help. Thank YOU too.

I am wondering if anyone can help me out ? I am trying to complete a Trivial Pursuit Badge … I have to Successfully make the goal on a Random Quiz 10 times in 10 days! Is there an easy way of completing this badge ? It’s a badge I am having not alot of luck with … Any suggestions would be appreciated …
