Hi, could someone please explain the Hangman Hijinks m/m, the part I don’t understand is “NO WRONG GUESSES”. Thank You.
cherie 04.02.09 at 3:49 pm
Does anyone know a trick to the Sock Hop Slots? I’ve gotten 2 golden duckies and haven’t gotten credit!
cherie 04.02.09 at 4:14 pm
Hi Genevieve…you have to spell the 3 words right without guessing a wrong letter. Good luck!
Chris 04.02.09 at 4:31 pm
The Hangman M&M is you have to guess the first 3 words with no wrong guesses, but the bonus word you can lose and you will still get credit for it. It is very easy to do if you play on easy because it gives you clues to the words.
Genevieve 04.02.09 at 4:31 pm
Hi Cherie, you have to get a TOTAL of 36 ducks….Pogo worded this m/m very badly. It is very misleading. Good luck…
cherie 04.02.09 at 5:31 pm
Yikes! Not sure I can handle that game for that long lol. Thanks, Genevieve.

Hi, thank you all for the help, I really appreciate it. So nice to see that people are willing to help out. I love this site!!!! Good Luck to everyone in whatever they chose to play.

The challenge was set up wrong in SHS, from Pogo Help.
Question
Why am I having trouble seeing progress on the Road to Fame badge?
Answer
Unfortunately, the badge is currently not progressing as intended. Don’t worry, our team is aware of this issue. While we work on resolving the problem, we recommend working on another badge.

I am currently working on the Sock Hop Slots badge and realise that you have to light up the notes to get credit.
I have found most of this month’s mix and match badges easy.
david 04.02.09 at 10:36 pm
Cherie… Pogo says the “badge to fame” is not correctly.
If you go to help…current issues,
You will see this posted.
Pogo says play something else until it is fixed. LOL
You can get a message sent to you when they fix it.
Right now you have to get all the music notes on the top to get credit for 1(and that’s about 36 ducks to win badge).
I’m waiting to seee what the fix is before playing again.
Hope this helps

Thanks David and Hopper for keeping us informed! I’ll keep an eye out, but let us know if it gets fixed and nobody’s posted about it here yet. :)

Good Morning everyone, WOW what great feedback, thank you so much. I think I will go play something else….lol…Pogo needs to take alittle more time in explaining what we need for these special badges. So I will keep checking back here to see when Pogo fixes the problem, hope it doesn’t take too long. Thanks again, everyone. Have a great weekend!!!!

Hi, hope someone has an answer to this. If I deactivate the Sock Hop m/m and activate another m/m wonder if I will get credit for getting more than 6 ducks. I have gotten 14 ducks and I just hate to have to do this over again. Thank You.

Most of these challenges were easy, well….except for Hangman Hijinxs and Sock Hop Slots. Getting 5 wins with no mistakes was very tough, but I got it. And getting 6 notes instead of ducks was very time consuming and misleading, even the players in the room weren’t the only ones complaining doing the same challenge.
Already completing that challenge, it would take some time for me to attempt that challenge again unless they addressed/fixed the problem at hand. All the other badges were easy like I said except the 2 in question. Usually when it comes to badges, I try to finish them within a day unless they are too time consuming then I would take days or weeks depending on the challenge. The Sock Hop Badge took me 1/2 of my day.

Thanks for the info Hopper and david! I think I’ll take that advice and work on the other ones. Although, I’m finding most of them pretty easy.
Genevieve, if you deactivate the badge, you’ll most likely lose credit. That’s the way it’s worked in the past.
Thanks for the help everyone.
Hopper 04.03.09 at 12:03 pm
cherie, your right Gen will lose all credit but in a lull on Pogo, a slot game is great prop up feet with a good book, My recommendation (or movie or TV, except a soap..lol) and mindlessly click once all the rest are completed.

Did Pogo get the R to F badge fixed? Perhaps they did, because the message on Help doesn’t say anything about playing another game, and DOES say that it’s gold ducks you need, not notes. Here’s the Help posting:
“There’s been some confusion as to how to get the Road to Fame badge on Sock Hops. We apologize for the confusion. Below, you can find an official description on how to get the Road to Fame badge:
Get a Gold Duck symbol for a Story Bonus 6 times in 4 days! Every time a Ducky symbol stops on the reels, the Sock Hop Story Bonus is triggered. Wind your way through the story to collect all seven Musical Notes and win big.”

No matter what the challenge for any badge is there are always going to be those who whine and cry it is too easy….it is too hard. It is a Challenge, so where is the problem. No one is forcing anyone to do any Challenges, especially the M&M’s or Albums that you have to pay for. If you feel they are too difficult, don’t buy them. I, on the other hand, love a challenge, and have every M&M, every Prem. Album, Finished 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and am up to date on 2009.
The Sock Hop Slots Challenge was worded Story Bonus, which in my mind was to light up a Note at the top. I saw no problem with it and actually got the badge in about 90 minutes.
I have finished all the new M&M’s and have Ranked out in Monopoly Slots, which is another that every one is whining and crying about. Geesh…..no one is holding a gun to your head to play the games.
Sorry to be sarcastic, but you can’t please everyone all of the time. I am happy with Pogo and find that it is the cheapest entertainment around, and I do spend a hefty amount on Pogo with all the extra’s.
Genevieve 04.04.09 at 10:48 am
Good Morning, WOW Pogogranny you sure hit some of us below the belt!!! I guess we all can’t be POGO PROS like you. Sorry you had to be so rude and yes, sarcastic, it really wasn’t necessary. We all love Pogo. I also buy the albums and m/ms that I can do, but to me the Sock Hop m/m was confusing for me as the only time I played that game was when it was a challenge, so excuse me for being a baby and whinning!!!
Lura 04.04.09 at 2:31 pm
Genevieve: I’m pretty sure PogoGranny wasn’t referring to you at all. You weren’t being a baby nor whining, so I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s more likely that she was referring to the probably thousands of people who wrote into Pogo and caused them to have to update their help section. I could be wrong, but I prefer to have a pretty thick skin especially when it comes to online interactions and I think others should, too. It’s just not worth it to start slinging mud, online more than anywhere else.
PogoGranny 04.04.09 at 6:33 pm
Lura, you are definitely right, it was not aimed at anyone here, but the thousands that do write into Pogo every time for any reason. It is like when the weekly challenges are released and someone comes in a room and asks “What do we have to do for the badge?”. I so want to tell them, you can read it on the main page of Pogo plus it is on the game page as well.
I apologize if I upset anyone, it was not my intention. To me a little research about what it takes to get a badge is not that hard. When I was working on the Sock Hop Slots challenge, everyone was complaining that they were getting Ducks, but not getting credit for them and I can tell you that in about a 15 minute period, there were at least that many that said they were going to write to Pogo and complain that they were being cheated. When I explained that it was the Golden Duck to light up the story and the musical note, they all went “ahhhh, that makes sense now”.
Anyway, Genevieve please accept my heartfelt apology.
PG
