Yay finally a marathon week! They haven’t done one in sooo long.
There’s not many tips I can think of for these badges….just make sure in Hearts you play 25 point games

yay personal challenge marathon, too bad the majority of what i have left in my albums are the games i dont like to play like hearts and euchre (actually that makes up the majority of the badges i need to get to finish off albums), i just dont understand those games but always at least try although i almost never get the badges as i give up lol… was so hoping they were going to release the monopoly slots yesterday but no such luck..

anna…if you ever want help with hearts and euchre look me up, i’m pretty good at both those games. my pogo name is c00kie85monster (the 0 is cookie is really a zero) I should be playing hearts tonight

hi i cant get the hang of hearts either i tried but cant play,it says game is unrated i played ,people in there are there for 4 hours and only got 2/20.i dont know what pogo was thinking when they put this badge out with all the others u never get ur badges ty . i like extra personal badge there great but hearts and word games i dont like,looks like my album wont be done

I really wish they’d give us 3 personal challenges more often. I’m really behind since I joined in 2007. It will take me forever to complete all the albums from 2003-2007.

I love the 3 personals they really need to do much more of those!!
But this hearts badge is really for the birds i’ve invested 6 hours so far and only got 1 ugh!

Hi all i found the best way to do hearts is to go into a room on your own and make it private just remember u have to keep your score to the lowest to win so avoid taking hearts or queen of spades hope this helps those who are struggling with the badge :) i have all my badges lovesd the marathon ..also gutted monopoly slots wasn’t out this week fingers crossed for next week now :)

think of hearts as spades My familys playedhearts for years n years since i was a little kid Instead of getting spades to win you dont want any hearts you want to avoid hearts (eating tricks) its opp of spades Avoid eating those wickedly hearts and you should win

I was right about shooting the moon twice being faster for me. Shot the moon in games 3 and 15. Oh well, it’s going fast enough.
I’ll enjoy the triple personal later, and probably hit perfect pair tomorrow.

Hurray for extra personal challenges! Wouldn’t it be lovely to have them more often. On average it takes 2 years of weekly personals to complete an album if you are new to Pogo. Rather a daunting prospect.
Has anyone noticed that the new M/M for hearts is less game wins and you have a longer time to earn the badge then the weekly challenge?

To make the game go faster make them 25 point ones. I always try to keep the Q so that i have better control on when to play and to put it into put it the tinheads hands. I try to get rid of all the aces and kings. My trick is to set the game so that you can play the hearts and the q from the start of the game. If I have gotten rid of all the clubs than I can play the q on my first move and it isn’t expected. I try to always play the lower card that has been played..Hope it helps

a secret i found when i play with the family and have beenwith the bots When it asks you to discard 3 cards try to get rid of one suit pref dimes , then clubs Then when the bots go around againfor dimes you canlay high cards ex ace spades ect on them its gotten me over 10 wins in less than an hour or so

I love the challenge marathons. It gives everyone a chance to catch up on their badges.
I have all my badges so I only get to do two challenges every week.
So I am really looking forward to the new games that are coming out soon.

I played the Perfect Pair right away yesterday and the Hearts late at night since I couldn’t sleep (boy did that help! LOL) But i finished them both, the Hearts surprisingly didn’t take long with 25 point games. I finished all my personals in summer so I redo the badges I like. I already selected Dice City and Lottso! with both longer fun challenges.

I am amazed at how much trouble people are having with hearts. It only took me about 2 hours of playing to get it. The crappiest part is that if 2 people are tied to win you have to play another hand :( I lost a few that way. I still got lots of work left on my 2 personals, but then after this week I only have 3 more weeks to finish 2003! (and I know I can do all the badges, just takes time) and I’m trying to earn as many mix and match badges as I can too. I easily got both the new perfect pair and hearts badges this week and I’m working on an old word whomp wackdown that is easier than my personal. So I have to get that done then I my other personal is squelchies (I guess I didn’t have enough last week haha) and I found and old mix n match I have to do for that too.
My brutal badges left for 2003 after I get through this weeks are:
Word Whomp Wackdown: make it to the bonus round 200 times (I know i can do it, just time consuming)
Dice Derby: Win 20 games
Greenback Bayou: catch 150 fireflies (i’ve already done the 200 so I know i can do it)
Wish me luck the countdown is on to be done 2003! Next is 2006 then I will work backwards since I have the most done for that album.

Good luck cookie! All I have left for 2006 is cribbage, win 12 121 pt games,
spades, win 2 250 pt rated games, and payday frecell, get 50 points in the bonus cards 50 times! that one I think will be rough, but then I have 2006 done! :)

With the Hearts I put my settings on 25 point game and getting no tricks is minus 5. It took me about a half hour to get the mix n match badge. I get rid of any suite I am short in except for spades. Then I pass all high hearts. This way I can almost always play a lower card. Good luck and if anyone needs help my screen is dolphin2246_

Hi everyone,,,,,hope your week has been good. I want to ask if anyone had any trouble getting the 6,000 tokens in bingo luau Thursday nite,,,,,,I couldnt get them, even though I was on the UK POGO site. My friend in Ohio got them,,,,and I had him try my name, and he couldn’t get them for me either! Since that is a weekly thing now, I hope I can get them in the following weeks! Please let me know if you got them or not,,,,(maybe pogo hates me) lol

Not sure if it makes a difference or not, but don’t forget there is like a 7 or 8 hour time difference in the UK. So I would assume that if you were playing on Thursday evening here, it was past midnight there. I know I have to make sure I get my Trivial Pursuit done before midnight there.
