To help me with word games I use the web site: a2zwordfinder.com. It is a big help with scrabble. I keep it open in one window while I play the game in another.

Hi Lana, I just tried your tip and unfortunately it doesn’t work. :( Hitting new game doesn’t count the wild tiles. It looks like you have to finish the game completely. It actually isn’t so bad; I did mine in less than an hour while watching Days. :)

My tip: save one or two of your wild tiles for the end of the game. You may need them to form the last few words.

Hitting new game does not count the wild tiles, you have to finish the game

Hi ev1, the tip does work, it just doesn’t show your progress until you complete a game. So actually both tips will speed up getting your badge. gl all…Angie

Lura, when I played, it gave me credit for using the wilds at the end of each round.
My tip for wilds: Use your wilds as often as you can. Every time you use a wild it frees up a spot to earn another wild. As long as you have an open spot, you can earn another wild. So I earned anywhere from 4-8 wilds a round. As you earn wilds it does move the wild marker. In earlier rounds it moves up to the seventh letter by the fifth wild, by the last round it move up to the seventh letter by the second wild earned. But the great news is, that you can use a wild to make the seven letter word.
This way, the wild you earned immediately replaces the wild you used to create the seven letter word. So you always have wilds if you need them.
Also when you start the next round the wild marker does reset. So it is easiest to get wilds at the beginning of each round.

I earned my badge in under 3 games.

If you don’t like Yahtzee and want to get the badge faster just take each turn trying for a Yahtzee rahter than other score areas. I got the badge in 3 games (double Yahtzee in 2 of them). Hope this helps. Have a good badge week! :)

The Wordjong badge goes by much quicker if you use your wilds right away. Then you can get more. :)

My tip for wordjong is to get three wilds at the start of the game then use them to make longer words that will get you another wild. It counts the first three you got but also any others you earn during the round. Some rounds you can earn 5 or 6 wilds.

What worked for me to get wilds in Wordjong was using my wilds to spell bigger words and get more wilds in one game …This was I was able to get 6/7/8 wilds in one game instead of just three.

Good luck everyone in the badges!

Apollo: I saw that, too. I’m wondering what’s up with their developers these days. I wonder if morale is low because of layoffs or if it’s just plain sloppy work. Either way, it’s kind of sad to see it happen again (especially since it was just written about in the Letters to the Editor)!

I’m a Yahtzee fanatic, so I wasn’t in much hurry to get that one…I play the game just for fun, once I’ve finished the weekly challenges or I’m taking a break from them. I’m not such a Word Jong fanatic, however…so I appreciate the tips and will give them a try later.

Like Lura, I noticed the “recycled badge,” too. Maybe the guy that goofed it up last time hasn’t gotten the word that he was the one that goofed it up. Who knows. LOL

I have a Yahtzee question, everyone in the room
has 250 or more points and I have 120…

I try to get matches for the yahtzee and if I dont get it, I make what I
can..

What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
T

Try to make the best hand you can with your dice depending on what you get on your first roll. The yahtzees will come… I always finnish in the top 3…Love the game !!!

Trena, for higher scores to earn jackpot spins (250 or higher) the best advice is to not fight the dice. If it looks like it wants to give you a full house- go with it. If it looks like it wants to give you a straight, go with it and give up the yahtzee for that roll. Of course, I’ve played a game once that all my dice would roll was 1′s, 2′s and 3′s. I had a horrible score by the end. So, don’t worry…you aren’t alone; some Yahtzee rounds are just lousy no matter what you do or don’t do.

Thank you, I always finish in the bottom 1%. lol

Every time you spell a word to fill all the spaces you get a new wild so add an s or ed to words to fill the entire area

Trena,I would play in classic mode that way you only need 225…hope that helps

I tried that site that Lois recommend for scrabble… it works. I’m not a word puzzle person at all, but if I used the site, it helps me get the badges myself. For WordWhomp, I use http://www.anagrammer.com and it’ll give you all the possible words.
